This eye cream is amazing, can see the difference in my eyes. Only downside is it does make your eyes more sensitive to the sun I would recommend not using it for a few weeks before if you are going to be in the sun. Apart from that it definitely has made a difference.
I’ve used this moisturiser for 5 years. It goes on very well and isn’t too thick. It keeps my skin very soft and has helped me to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
I have used this product before and found it fantastic the cream is easily absorbed not greasy. My eye area much improved with continued usage. Would recommend this cream. Great value for money
I’ve always loved olay products and this night cream is one I can’t be without! It really is a cream worth having and it won’t disappoint. It absorbs really well and leaves my skin soft and smooth. I highly recommend you try it.
I really liked this. Really silky smooth when you put it on – I can definitely notice the difference in the feel of it compared to other creams as soon as I used it. I recently decided to try something else for a change but wish I hadn’t. I’ll definitely return to this as my staple night cream. I do try & make sure I buy it when it’s on offer though!
It feels really nice when applied but after a couple of days my skin started peeling (rolling off, not dry peeling). But, I’m not sure if this is good or bad as strong retinol can do that. It’s just annoying if you want to wear foundation when it’s peeling.
This product is not perfumed, you don’t need a lot so a jar goes a long way. In the 3 weeks I have been using it I have noticed that my fine lines are a lot less noticeable and my skin is perfectly moisturised. I won’t use anything else.
I assume it is the retinol that adds to the price. Some of the other ingredients are quite run of the mill. These are, in order:
Aqua, water, the first ingredient for many creams that rub in easily but which may reduce staying power
Dimethicone, a silicone-based polymer that is frequently used as a skin protectant in skincare products. The second most common moisturizing ingredient found in moisturizers after petrolatum, dimethicone helps condition the skin—improving its softness and flexibility.
Glycerin, which absorbs water and which can damage the skin by drawing water from lower layers of the skin
Dimethicone Crosspolymer, may help to improve the appearance of dry skin and flakiness. Dimethicone crosspolymer is occlusive, which means that it protects the skin and prevents moisture loss from the top layers of the skin. Moisture can be lost from the top layers of the skin to the air.
Retinyl Propionate, is a synthetic derivative of a Vitamin A. Upon topical application, retinyl propionate is hydrolyzed by esterases to retinol, which is ultimately converted to retinoic acid. In mouse models, retinyl propionate induced epidermal thickening in mouse tail and promoted collagen formation in UV-irradiated mice. These results encouraged clinical trials of retinyl palmitate against photoaging. Topical retinyl propionate cream (0.15%) did not demonstrate any statistically significant improvement over placebo, but in later studies of combinations of retinyl propionate with climbazole or niacinamide improvements in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and age spots were demonstrated.
Caprylic/capric Triglyceride, usually made from combining coconut oil with glycerin. Emollients work by trapping moisture in your skin and forming a protective layer so the moisture can’t escape. Caprylic triglyceride is an effective skin-softening ingredient
Tocopheryl Acetate, a form of Vitamin E, promoting healthy skin (such as moisturizing and preventing wrinkles), helping with wound healing. reducing inflammation
Retinol, a type of retinoid, which is made from vitamin A. It does not remove dead skin cells, as many other products for mature skin do. Instead, the small molecules that make up retinol go deep beneath the epidermis (outer layer of skin) to your dermis. Once in this middle layer of skin, retinol helps neutralize free radicals. This helps boost the production of elastin and collagen, which creates a “plumping” effect that can reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and enlarged pores
Ethylhexylglycerin, a skin conditioning agent, helping to improve the appearance of the skin but also has beneficial anti-microbial, deodorizing and preservative effects
Bht, Butylated Hydroxytoluene, is a stabiliser that can be found in cosmetic products. It acts as an antioxidant that helps maintain the properties and performance of a product as it is exposed to air (to avoid a change in odour, in colour, in texture
Butylene Glycol, a conditioning agent – an ingredient that adds a layer of softness or improved texture to your hair or skin. They’re also called moisturizers or, in the case of butylene glycol, humectants. Butylene glycol works to condition skin and hair by coating the surface of your cells.
Dimethiconol, can improve the texture of a product by giving it some lightweight slip.
Niacinamide, reduces inflammation , which may help ease redness from eczema, acne, and other inflammatory skin conditions. Minimizes pore appearance. Keeping skin smooth and moisturized may have a secondary benefit — a natural reduction in pore size over time. Regulates oil.
Other ingredients – Polysorbate 20, Laureth-4, Laureth-7, Disodium Edta, Polyacrylamide, Acrylates/c10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Aminomethyl Propanol, Ammonium Polyacrylate, Titanium Dioxide, C13-14 Alkane, Dmdm Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Phenoxyethanol
No scent ! And non greasy..smoothes in very well..I was using the ordinary Olay night cream and thought it had a nasty smell but this is totally better and my skin absorbs it very easily no side effects at all highly recommend
Found in shops I’ve visited boxes containing this cream are always wrapped in cellophane so not sure if genuine product. Not really found any difference from other cheaper face creams
This Olay night cream is a miracle for the skin. It really improved my skin condition by making it smoother, lighter, and well-hydrated. The cream doesn’t have an intense smell which is also a nice feature considering it is to be used at night time.
The absorption of this cream is quite good but not the best. I can still feel it very slightly on my skin an hour after application. However, the majority of it gets absorbed within a minute or two.
The texture of this cream is comfortable to use and I don’t need to use a lot of it to cover my face skin fully. Hence, this pack will last for a few months for me. This is great because I really enjoy the effects this cream has on my skin.
I didn’t experience any negative effects, like rashes or skin irritation when using this cream. My skin condition visibly improved and feels smoother, healthier, and hydrated.
I have been using this Olay Retinol 24 MAX night cream for a month, and the results are amazing. my skin has been extremely dry during the cold months but this has helped me. I feel moisturised even can see a slight change in fine lines.
This cream is light and refreshing, very quick to absorbs into my skin, leaves my skin feeling smooth and hydrated. I use the Olay Retinol 24 MAX eye cream with it, it’s amazing as well. will definitely be using them every day.
Great value product and highly recommend.
I use this night cream regularly and it feels light on the skin for a night cream and even though it’s supposed to be hydrating for 24 hours, I feel 10-11 hours maximum. It has a gentle fragrance which is perfect at night-time.
This relaxing night cream has been a life saviour for my sensitive skin. After 2 weeks of using this moisturiser, my skin feels unbelievably smooth and soft, well hydrated with no further breakouts I usually get due to hormonal imbalance.
The velvety texture is rich enough (a little goes a long way) but yet non greasy, easily absorbed and doesn’t clog the pores. Enriched with Olay’s most potent retinoid + vitamin B3 formula, my skin really feel pampered, plumped and well rebalanced after each use. You know when a beauty product really works when you have compliments on how radiant you skin looks.
I also noticed that my fines lines on my forehead are fading away so I am really impressed by the results so far. A five star moisturiser I highly recommend adding to your daily beauty regime especially if you have a problematic and stressed skin like mine.
Overall, 5 stars!
Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! 🙂
I tried this night moisturiser for a couple of days and I was really pleased. I do not expect miracles with my acne prone skin but at least it leaves my face smooth and not as oily as other products I have used in the past. It is also free of all the bad stuff which is a good point but to me a bit expensive compared to other Retinol creams on the marke
This cream is really thick and feels luxurious for a night cream. It makes your face feel pampered.
I love Olay it’s so smooth and smells lovely I have always used Olay since being a teenager and it’s the best product, I have tried various others but always go back to Olay.
I suffer with large open pores and oily skin, this night cream is great because it’s not oily and soaks into my skin lovely and feels matte. I can deffo see improvements in the tone of my skin, it’s got rid of some of my redness in my t section.
woke up in the morning and felt so much brighter in terms of morning skin. I am happy to hold my head high and flaunt my healthy skin!
As night-creams go, this one is very satisfactory. It feels deeply moisturising, and sinks in completely, without leaving the skin feeling at all oily, just smooth and nourished. I really like that it is completely fragrance-free, and contains a high percentage of retinol. The tub is a little smaller than I expected (after seeing the product photos), but if you’ve bought other similarly-packaged Olay products before, your size expectations will likely be more realistic than mine. Like it. Happy to recommend.
I’ve got a few night creams and this is one of the heavier ones, it’s quite thick and you can feel it on. I’m not 100% about it, I broke out in spots the first few days, but calmed down about 5 days in. I’ve not seen a huge difference in my skin if at all, not wrinkle wise or texture. I feel like it’s more of a night leave-on face mask, then anything.
Pros:
* Really moisturising and plumping, especially around lip lines. Only when freshly used, result isn’t there next day.
* Faint chemical/perfume smell, nothing too strong
* Fixes dry patches quickly
Cons:
* Really thick and heavy
* Not great for sensitive skin IMO – fresh exfoliate skin stung for a few seconds.
* Not seen results as quick as other products
* Caused me to break out in spots overnight, mainly my t-zone and cheeks.
Retinol is famous for evening out complexion, brightening skin and preventing wrinkles. What I love about this is it’s a good placeholder product for when you run out of your prescription tretinoin. It’s rich but doesn’t leave me peeling or oily. My only complaint is that I wish it came in a tube with a pump for hygiene reasons. I’ve tried the oil version however I get along better with this.
since I was in my 30s, I started using retinol in its basic form, which used to be prescribed for acne. I am now 65 years old but looks at least 10 years younger. Thanks to the cell regenerating benefits of retinol.
So I ordered this for my daughter to help her start adding retinol to her skin routine. I believe this cream from the trusted brand OLAY is her best choice.
She is enjoying the moisturizing effect of this night cream, which has no fragrance so it will not trigger her hay fever. Meanwhile it would take care of her skin, on the long run, by slowing down the skin aging process.
Like all products that contain retinol, it should be stricktly applied only at night night.
This comes in an outer cardboard box security sealed for your safety.
The pot inside is curved, purple and made of plastic. The lid is silver and screw top and also plastic.
The cream is a white, light textured cream.
It has a high % of retinol so good for lines and wrinkles.
It doesn’t have any scent and is quite light.
As I apply it to my face it feels gentle and not at all greasy. It seems quite light for a night moisturiser.
It seems to be an effective product but it is always hard to tell as lines and wrinkles are part of my face now and I have regularly used high-quality moisturisers.
The price is quite high compared to some but less expensive than the high-end brands.
It is made by Procter & Gamble and that company does test on animals. It is not cruelty free.
I have been using this retinol night cream alongside the serum from the same range for a few days and so far I really like it.
I’m 34 and I’ve always really looked after my skin so lucky I don’t really have many lines or wrinkles. What this does is tighten my skin and makes me feel refreshed and my skin looks youthful and bright. My skin is quite sensitive so I was a little apprehensive about using it but it’s made my skin clearer and even with no irritation at all but I am used to retinol products.
This is a fabulous cream that feels beautifully silky and hydrates the skin without feeling greasy or heavy in any way. It just leaves the skin feeling lovely and smooth immediately and more radiant when I wake up the next morning.
Remember with retinol products you do need to be patient as it can be months before you see any results and always use sunscreen the day after.
This is another really good product in the Olay Regenerist Retinol24 MAX range. It is a night cream which is designed to bring intense hydration to the skin overnight. It has anti-aging properties and helps improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles too. All of this sounded good to me!
It has the same attractive packaging as the other products in the range. It is a really nice cream which has a rich, creamy texture which glides across the skin and feels quite comforting. I like that it absorbs quickly unlike some night creams which tend to just sit on the top of the skin. It is fragrance free which is fine although I do like products that deliver a nice aroma too but I can understand this is not to everyone’s taste and can cause sensitivity to some. I have some areas of dry skin and I find this really helped them but it was not too much for the less dry areas too.
I think this is a good night cream and I like the way my skin feels hydrated and well rested. I think with regards to the anti-aging properties it is probably something that needs a bit more time to see a real difference but so far so good. I think the price is reasonable for a cream like this too.
This Olay night cream is a relaible performer offering a good level of hydration to the skin over night if used after an effective cleansing regime. The key ingredient here is Retinol alongside Vitamin B3, but probably the stand out benefits of this formulation lie elsewhere. Firstly, it is fragrance free which for many with very sensitive skin will be a major plus. Secondly, the perceptible benefit really comes from a firming and plumping of the skin if you use it regulary as part of your skincare routine with the rich cream also leaving the skin with a discernible glow. The price point is mid range and with the cream offering good skin coverage this is a reasonably economical way to avoid you skin drying out and losing condition overnight.
