Oral b electric brushes are well known, reliable and do a good job. My partner has had her old one for a number of years and wanted an upgrade, this was on a deal and she loves it.

I like this because it offers an effective clean, the button is a bit awkward in that it is difficult to change cleaning action during use. A couple of heads would be better to offer with the brush itself. Overall happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve used Oral-B electric toothbrushes for years (older models) and this one is so far the best! I especially love the smooth plastic design as the rubber on the older ones got dirty easily/mouldy at the bottom after few months and this one is so easy to clean and feels so good! Glad I didn’t go for better version as they are all pretty much the same (when it comes to teeth cleaning, not useless gadgets like apps). Would defo recommend

I fancied a change from my ‘Sonic’ toothbrush, my better half uses the ‘mechanical’ rather than the sonic and having tried hers (with a new head for those squeamish folks) I felt a change wouldn’t be a bad thing.
My teeth feel like they have had a work-out after using it, and I have always brushed into the gums whatever brush I was using. It is much noisier than the sonic so there could be a bit of psychology in there too, but I have to admit a cleaner feel that seems to last longer using the mechanical over the sonic. The Oral -B brand seems to have the mechanics tamed and it feels a well made toothbrush. There is the reason for the five stars.

For 42 this is good value. I think this is the 3rd I’ve had in about 30 years so they are good. I took the old one to bits to see if I could repair but think water had finally caused corrosion of the switch and electronics near base. I had also broken the metal tip beyond the depression because I used to tap the brush on the sink after use and after time this caused the failure. I now detach the brush head and wipe the unit on a towel and expect it will give many years of service. Opted to stay clear of the other faster, bluetooth enabled flashier models as this effectively cleans teeth (and tile grouting!!)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhile it worksas it should, it is haphazard in switching it on or off. There is the standard symbol, but pressing this does not work. Instead you are left trying to find the relavant place by trial and error beneath the symbol. I have not as yet found a consistent spot despite used the toothbrush over 50 times. This is my second toothbrush I have bought, having thought it might just be a fault in the first one, This is the second and is equally a trial and error procewss. I noted in another review the same proble was noted.
    Otherwise satisfactory to use.
