I have one of these in most rooms of the house very useful when trying to track heating loss etc easy to use and readings can be taken on a three story house from the ground floor and even one in the car for an outside temperature love these. Just wish they used an easier battery at time as very limited places sell them.

These little units are rather neat and the software is good. Rather taken by these units. They are small but clear to read and the best bit the software UI is fine. Easy to set up and link to IPhone via Bluetooth. Range is reasonable. If you are looking for a device to record temp and humidity and log the results than look no further.
    Unit good and software good.
    Try them out.
Updated – Added a second pair. Now all four show on iPhone screen in the app.
Also seem reasonably accurate. Within 0.2 c of old Oregeon Scientific unit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Above expectations for the price

Purchased to test the settings on the campervan fridge. Automatic and immediate connection to iPhone once the app was downloaded.
Brilliant for logging and downloading charts of temperature changes during the fridge on-off cycles.
Also use around the house for general temperature monitoring-great value.

I think these are good value. They seem accurate compared to various other thermometers I have around the house. The app is pretty good too, although syncing data/log can take a frustrating amount of time if it’s for more than a weeks data. The supplied batteries are rubbish though – both of mine only lasted 2 months before they needed replacing.

Works well with Home Assistant (requires Passive BLE monitor integration). Or you use the app it ships with called Sensor Blue or something.

Edit Aug 2022: CR2477 batteries lasted 8 months. If you have half a dozen of these around the house you may want to buy rechargeable 2477 batteries.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works with Home Assista

These are great, I’ve bought 4. Handy for seeing at a glance what the temperature and humidity is and good to be able to see several days worth of info. Mine do drop the history a bit, which is annoying at times. I have built 2 of these into the wall to see how the insulation is performing.

This device is really easy to set up and works very reliably. It takes a few minutes for the readings to stabilise on first use but seems very accurate after that. The app is easy to use and great that you can download data and export via CSV. I have learnt a number of things by analysing the data, such as drawing the curtains at the right time of day retains heat for longer, and cooking in the evening has a better effect on house temperature. Great to have the display also built in.

    Nice little compact unit.
Only just got, so can’t report reliability.
Quirky to pair, but fine once it does.

Humidity out by 5% temp by 2 degrees.

App allows tweaking, but doesn’t calibrate actual uni

Small and compact and dead easy to activate and add to the app. I bought 10 of these and spread them all over the house, even put one outside. Compared them to a mercury thermometer and they pretty-much agreed. I wanted to know the temperatures throughout the house in prep for insulation. I love the fact they are so easy to read on the app.

Generally worked well although instructions are appalling. Battery needed replacing after a week or so on one (of a pair). Use it for greenhouse and propagator monitoring and I am very pleased with.

First foray into digital home automation, I’m an old hand at industrial automation, so thought I’d take a look. I hooed to access it directly, but it needs third-party support through apps or web services. They’re free, but you hand too much over to them…

Would love a direct call API for C or even Python.

I wanted a thermometer that would keep a record of the temperature in different rooms of my house and these do the job well.
The description says you should download the data from them each day, but they actually last 16 days before the memory is full, so I sync to the app every fortnight and I have a complete record of the temperature over several months.
The downloaded data contains a temperature reading every 10 minutes. I had hoped it would be every minute, but it is good enough for what I need.
The App isn’t bad. It took me a bit of trial and error to find my way around but it seems reliable.

Bought these to monitor a fridge and a room. They seem fairly accurate although our fridge one has said a couple of times that it went down to -39c which is impossible. Other than those blips it seems fine. Bluetooth range is reasonable considering it’s in a fridge under a counter. The App is useful and works well showing the historic data. Good value for what they are. Worth getting them if you just need to monitor temp and humidity and like the fact the have a display as well.

Came in really useful Early in May when we had real frosty nights up here in the North. Saved my little seedlings from damage. Worth the money and quite accurate. App is basic but works well.

Very good value for money with temperature and humidity shown on the display. They have a bigger battery so the user life is good and easy to replace. It is backed up by a data download into the App which works well but could be improved for when using the cursors.

Fantastic thermometers that link to an equally exceptional app. Provides valuable historic data in graph form as well as current temperature on the actual device screens.
Invaluable when setting up my nest CH programmer and to check on its performance. Just buy them !

Excellent little unit… I was thinking of buying the traditional internal standalone unit with an external battery powered sensor… But they always break and this was half the cost….it works a treat and does humidity as well as temperature… Excellent. I bought another!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought these to basically check the temperatures in my new fridge freezer combo.

They are small, neat and appear to be reasonably accurate and very well made.

They connect easily to the android app which gives you loads of options to view the temperature trends over whatever period you desire and is nicely laid out as well as allowing you to download a CSV file of the parameters. You can even load a previously saved file to view/compare.

The only downside is the one I tried in the freezer (which is listed as a use in the description and the spec says it will read down to -20C) which is set to -19C it worked for a while then started giving wild results! To be fair I don’t think the batteries are up to working at these sub zero temperatures so that is probably the cause – up to about half an hour seems OK though.

I was actually quite surprised at the range for the Bluetooth low energy connection – even from inside the fridge!

Very useful little devices. I have no idea of the battery longevity (they say up to 1 year) but you can get a pack of 10 replacements for very reasonable cost on here.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI took a gamble on these after reading the reviews first and am very impressed for the price. I wanted to monitor the temperature in the rooms in my cottage and new extension. I’m not too fussed about knowing the humidity.
Downloading the app and setting up is very simple, but updating the data from the monitors to the app often take a a few retries but gets there in the end. Data has to be downloaded via Bluetooth whenever you want to check it and it comes up as an accumulating graph always starting from day 1 and just adding more data and making the graph longer.
The temp and humidity can be viewed in the app in real time all the time as long as the devices are in range.
I have a monitor in my lounge, another in the next room which is a second lounge, another in the master bedroom above the second lounge and a fourth in the new utility room extension which is adjacent to the second lounge. Each of the ground floor rooms has a 2 foot thick stone wall between it and the next room. From my sofa in the lounge I can pick up on my phone app the lounge, the second lounge and the bedroom above, but not the utility room as there is 4 feet of stone wall for the signal to travel through.
I’ve now bought another pair of devices as I want to monitor the outside temp. I’ll put a device in my decking area which has a perspex roof and perspex windows so that it will be protected from the elements.
A little tip is to set the device up in the room you want to monitor. I set all mine up in the lounge in front of the fire and then moved them to the rooms I wanted to monitor. What happened is the first temps the devices recorded where in a hot lounge, and then they were moved to colder rooms. This has given a false first reading on the graph, and makes the graph for the relevant room inaccurate. There is a graph on the app that shows average temps etc so starting at the right temp in the relevant room is important for the data.
They’re great for monitoring central heating and observing how long it takes the room to cool back down after the heating goes off, if you want to set your central heating settings.

I’m buying the 2 packs of these, making them less than 10 each.

I initially bought a couple of the ‘coin’ version of these, which have no display.
As they worked so well, decided to buy ones with a display.
They work equally as well, and to spec. They’ve proved invaluable in my grandchildrens bedrooms, when staying, as can monitor the temperature in real time and also log overnight.
Takes the guess work out of setting the radiator TRVs during the very cold weather we’ve been having at the time of writing this review.
Update: A year on. I have four all told. They’ve worked faultlessly and have just changed the batteries for the first time. The displays were still reading OK but I noticed that they were pulsing in brightness very slightly when downloading the data off them. Battery change, and all good.

Its a very good product for the monney, keeps the history of all readings for about 100 days. Every 10 minutes it creates a log entry automatically. Or whenever you check it iupdates itself.
I have it on the ground floor and if I’m in the right place I can get a reading on the first floor via Bluetooth.
Overall its a fine item that does exactly what it says on the tin and it does it well.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHad the small version and the temp was OK but the humidity was way off (you can see from the second and third images the real RH is 52%, and the small hygrometer was showing way over 60% RH), sent it back for the next one up the 35m version and boom, bang on for both temp and humidity (you can see the accuracy of the 35m version in the first image where both hygrometers are side by side for comparison, I wish I had one of these months ago. Pay the extra pound and grab the 35m version if you want an accurate reading (unless of course the one I was sent was faulty), still happy to leave 5 stars as the issue is now fixed by the replacement.

5.0 out of 5 stars 35m version very accurate for temp and RH
