This torch is very useful, it has 3 settings of mid, light & bright when outside. It’s so bright it lights up the whole of my communal carpark from one side to the other. Deffo worth the price.

Only been using this for a few weeks but seems like a good purchase so far.

The beam is adjustable which is a good feature and it doesnt take long to charge at all.

One slight gripe is the cover for the charging port doesnt sit into position and often hangs out which can be a bit annoying.

Overall tho it’s worth purchasing because it’s cheap and effective

Firstly, the brightness is REALLY good. I’m not surprised it comes with a warning not to shine it directly in your eyes because it’s BRIGHT! The instructions could use a second pass through Google translate because the english isn’t great, but good enough I could get the thing to work. Takes a wee while to fully charge but runs a treat. The various lighting modes are maybe a bit much for our needs (three brightness settings, a strobe for when you fancy running a rave? and a flashing light that literally flashes out SOS in morse code) but would cover any requirement I could think of and some I hadn’t! It’s light, but not as light as I’d have liked given this is primarily for night walks with the dog for my partner whose night sight isn’t the best and the focus is an odd invention. It takes a fairly broad beam and focuses it into a square? Not sure why I’d need that, but it’s there regardless and I like that it’s rechargeable.

I own another similar torch that was less than half the price (2 for 10). Comparing both, this has slightly brighter light, so slight that it does not make any difference. The other on is 300lm so I’m not sure how this one measures 960lm. I have a 960lm light bulb in my room and it is 3 times brighter than the torch. I don’t have a way to measure light intensity though so I cannot question the product description but just so that you know.

The main difference between this and the cheaper torch is that you can switch this off without cycling through all modes. This is a BIG plus and highly recommend this (or other such) torches over the cheaper ones. Even when my cheaper torch has better design as the button is round and very easy to find. But it can be painful to cycle through strobe mode in dark. This one can be switched off with one long press. Somebody in comments mentioned that the torch remembers its last mode. This does not happen for me. It always starts in full bright mode but I don’t mind that.

One thing that I really don’t like about this torch is that button is really hard to find in dark. I had to but an extra rubber washer and glue it on top of button to make it easy to find. I’m very impressed with batter life as well. It is lying there for a month now without recharging and just turned it on and full bright shows.

It’s sturdy made out of metal, everything about it feels like a good quality torch. It just has a nice feel in my hand. Came with a 2200mah 18650 battery which lasts absolutely hours. I’ve used it on four camping trips so far. Last time I set it up on a log at the dimmest setting as ambient lighting which was enough to do the braai and for general vision, it lasted the whole night from around 8pm to 2am. The zoom thing on the end has a nice resistance to it and hasn’t worked loose despite loads of playing around with it. On the football pitch near my house in pitch dark when zoomed in it will light up a whole tree on the other side it is super bright on bright setting. I carry an extra 18650 battery with me in my backpack just in case but never had to switch it out.

tldr; I would recommend this torch to a friend

Excellent torch, once I understood why it wasn’t working. I received an email a day or two after delivery, that said:
In order to ensure the safety of the transportation process, there is a piece of insulation sheet between the battery and the cap. SO please follow 2 steps before using:
1.unscrew the cap of the flashlight.
2.peel off the insulation sheet (a green scrap) stuck on the tail of the battery.
This information is posted in several places on this Amazon page, but I still managed not to see it, and then I thought I had a dud torch, like many others who have reviewed it!

It’s made of metal, so is a little heavier than I would have liked, but it is obviously sturdy. It fits in my bag nicely. It’s powerful, adjustable, rechargeable. I’m happy, now it’s working!!

No issues with this item so far, pretty good light output for the size – some comments have said that it remembers which mode it was on when switched off, this is not the case (always comes on at full power) not a problem though as you tend to use full power most of the time anyway.
Unlike others I’ve had, you don’t need to decide which mode you want the moment you switch it on, one click gives full power if you want less light just click again anytime. Whatever mode it’s on hold the button for a second or so and it goes off. This works well for me; one press – full power, long press – off (without having to go through the five silly modes to turn it off!).
Not sure about the quality of the battery as yet, though it’s easily replaced so may try one of the others I’ve got, to compare.
On the whole, I’m more than happy – best part is that, unlike many of the earlier led torches, once it’s on a mode it stays on it! Had a few that are sensitive to any kind of shock (like when used on bike handlebars of-road) mode changes every time you go over a bump – no sign of this happening with this one, seems much better made than many others.
    So, would recomend . . .

    Quick edit:
Used it tonight, switched it off . . . . switched it back on, nothing.
Took the battery out, gave the terminals a quick scrub with a bit of kitchen roll and all was well, so bear that in mind.

The torch feels very solid and well made. I love it. I use it mostly for walking the dog at night because it is the perfect size for putting in your pocket or dangling from your hand with the wrist strap. It is so easy to charge (I use my phone charger) and it is very bright. There is really only one criticism I would make, and it is one that others have made too: it is very difficult to turn on in the dark because the on/off switch is impossible to find with your fingers. Indeed, in the dark it is difficult initially even to work out which end of the torch is which. So it is fine if your dog does its business near some source of light; you can find the switch and turn the torch on. In darker areas it takes quite a while, even if you already have the torch in your hand. It would be a great torch for camping or just to keep by the bed, but if you wake up in the dark don’t expect to be able to turn it on the instant you put your hand on it!

A nice little torch that feels comfortable in the hand, seems well made and is very bright – although nowhere near the 960 lumen claimed. Good to have the switch on the side in a convenient place, instead of on the end (like so many of the alternatives sold on Amazon). With the battery fully-charged, I switched the beam on full power and timed how long it lasted: 3 hours and 40 minutes before the low battery warning light came on (there was still light at this point, but I switched it off). This is more than long enough for anything I’m likely to use the torch for and it would presumably last longer on one of the lower settings. I then charged it back up to full power using a USB wall socket: it took 2 hours to reach full power from flat, which I think is pretty reasonable. Overall, very happy with this and I may buy another one to keep in the car. Would have been 5 stars, but one star deducted for inflated luminous flux (brightness) claim.

Torch is good. Very bright. Clip and wrist strap are handy. I also bought this torch for my dad last year and he seems happy.
There are only three things preventing this being perfect.
The on button being flush with the body and not on the bottom end means it’s difficult to find in the dark. No problem turning it off because the button is lit up.
The other issue is I wish there was a harder way of accessing strobe and sos. I hate strobe and hate accidentally scrolling into it. I
Not keen on the square light. It’s a perfect square. Seems unnatural.
    Otherwise it’s excellent.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersFantastic first impressions. This torch was purchased to use and leave in my camper van. It is easy to use and the controls are simple via one button. The body is full metal construction with knurled texture grip on the main body. It comes with an integrated clip (can be removed) to allow attaching to a shirt or trouser pocket and the lens appears to be made of clear thick plastic that is very clear. The bottom battery cover is sealed via rubber O ring as is the LED assembly at the top half, indicating a great deal of weather sealing/waterproofing is added to it’s construction. The torch is compact and easy to grip with my large sized hands and feels like a nice balanced weight that makes handling easy. The Zoom feature of the torch is a dampened push /pull of the lens and has just enough friction to perform to the task without easily being moved. This I think would benfit by having a thread, rather than a dampened push/pull movement. Its no big deal – just a personal preference. The rubber operation button lights Green when switched on, no light when switched off and red when requires charging. It also doubles as a charge indicator – red flashing while charging and green when fully charged. Operation is as follows, press once and the torch switches on at full brightness (960 Lumens), press again for a slightly less bright mode, again for even less brightness, another press provides a full brightness strobe mode and another press beams SOS at full
brightness. Press the button and hold for a second switches the torch off. It also remembers the previous mode, so like me you require full brightness, press the power to switch on, the press again for one second to switch off. Not sure for full full beam operating time as it’s not ran out as yet.. but it comes with a 2200MaH 18650 type battery – so can be changed to increase operational longevity if required.
Did I mention it also comes with a micro USB cable which connect to the side of the torch were the port again is weather proofed by a rubber sealed cover. Easy to open ad close. Finally it is stable standing on it’s base or lens end. Things to note, when at full zoom ( narrow beam)the light is displayed as a square , and when zoomed to the broadest beam at 1m from a wall the diameter is approx 90 cms.
For the price this torch represents so far, great value for a bright LED torch. I really like it and would recommend.

This little torch is great – very bright indeed. Switch from wide beam to narrow beam simply by sliding the top section of the body. The ability to send light pulses or SOS signal in Morse Code as short and long pulses of light could prove a major benefit for someone out hiking and in difficulties. Only one small gripe: I didn’t think it was charging and it wasn’t but then I spotted the bit of print on the bottom of the enclosed leaflet that said to “remove the insulation sheet in the tail of the unit brfore using”. The warning isn’t just ‘small print’ it’s tiny and easily missed. Once removed everything was fine. OK, I should have gone to ‘Sp**savers but please make it larger and more prominent and it’ll get 5* next time! Very happy so far.

Not the cheapest availible – but well made and the perfect size for hand – It works well as described. purchased the first one to replace my old bulb torch which as usual when needed it needed a new battery and as usual did not have spares. So with next day delivery it was easier than going to shop to buy new batterys.
This replacement is smaller , brighter and for normal use on medium brightness (Which is still far brighter than my old torch) It lasts longer than my old torch batterys. Are the bightness claims in Lumens correct – who knows – all I can say its its very very bright
usb recharge brilliant (so I can charge in car) ,
So now I have 1 in home and one in both cars
Would I buy again (already have)
And possibly, if still avialable will even consider more later in year as christmas presents.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThe first torch to arrive was faulty. The seller helped me attempt to fix it, which involved cleaning the contacts that touch the battery terminals. This failed, unfortunately.

However, a second torch was sent tnd this works fine. It’s bright on the brightest setting, the zoom is easy to adjust, it’s size is convenient, the clip is handy and it is made of solid construction.

It does lose a star because of the fault (shows that the electronics may be vulnerable), and it is not quite up to the standard of my prized best torch, which is no longer available to buy.

The fuss-free recharging function, the water-resistence and robustness of this torch and the long life of the light in the power-saving brightness settings do all contribute to a well-earned high score, in my opinion.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersGot this as needed a really bright torch, and that it is …however I had a problem in that it took ages to charge up (well over 12 hours) contacted the seller and I got told this was not normal. After that It seemed to work fine, but went and started flashing red very quickly. Again seller said this was not normal and fully refunded me. I purchased a knowing brand of battery, and it still flashed red after a few minutes of use, I purchased a separate charger… still the same. I have since stripped it down and cleaned the brass contacts within the torch and seems to be working a sit should. Sometimes it will cut out, but simply removing the bottom part and re-attaching, seems to work

Overall a very good and VERY bright torch

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersPurchased same model last year to aid in walking the dog in the winter evenings. The torch is well made, light, and very sturdy. Full brightness is very bright indeed and gives a very clear view at night up to about 300 metres. Just press the button and it comes on at full brightness, press again and it dims to about half brightness. The last three presses give you an even dimmer output, a strobe light for emergencies, and the final press gives a flashing SOS signal repeatedly. Holding the button down switches the torch off. I have used the torch on full brightness for three hours continuously without the need to recharge, not sure how much longer it would have lasted but the output after three hours was just as bright as when I first turned it on. The button turns red and flashes when the torch needs recharging which is simple using the included USB charging lead.
This is a great little product especially at the price it is being at. I have now purchased a second one for the car for use in emergencies.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWell made and solid and the USB charger is a great idea as one can charge it in the car. This makes it a great torch to carry in the car as the beam is very strong and it is focussable from close and narrow strong light to far and wide good light by rotating a bezel. This can be done one handed which is great. When switched on the on/off switch which also operates the strobe and SOS function (essential for hill walkers and wild campers) illuminates green. I have two problems with this product: 1.finding the on switch in the dark is extremely difficult. Could you, please add a flourescent or neon marking to it? Once on this switch glows bright green so you can find it easily to turn it off though. 2. A friend was looking at it and she very easily, but by mistake, displaced the on off switch cover and the torch is inoperable without it. Luckily I bought two. Also one needs gloves because the torch is metal and cold to the hand in winter. Overall this is a very good small torch putting out far more light than others of this small size and it is great value for money.
