These worked out the box without any issues, literally took them out the box, plugged them into the wall and plugged in my USB devices, my USB devices all charged without any slow downs or issues.
I tried these on my portable power bank, my ear buds, my phone, my rechargeable remote control that all use USB and they all charged within their usual time. I did not notice any difference using the travel chargers compared to using the usual plugs I would back at home.
Do what they’re meant to do, which is great! However they also do something they’re not needed to do, which is provide a nightlight if I wanted my hotel room lit up at night, I’d switch a light on. Ideal if you DO want a nightlight though.
Nicely designed, modern looking and lighting up a nice greeny-yellow when in use. They fit (obviously) into US standard wall sockets and also into shaver ports – make sure you use the 115v (although they seem to be “smart” enough to work with 230/240V as well). There are two USB 2 ports that can be used for charging and charging speeds seem to be comparable to other types. The light when in use is quite bright, so keep the bathroom door closed if you are using them in there!
