    This game is great
    Beautiful game design
    Obviously the pokemon are amazing
The gameplay is good but…the constant bumping into people to battle is a little too much sometimes when you just want to explore and catch Pokemon apart from that it’s a good game and fun to play .

A simplified version of the original kanto games (red/blue/yellow) good fun with some fun new features, great story and lots of fun whether you’re a season veteran or new to Poke’mo

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersWas a great game, was very nostalgic, as it was the same game as the old Red and Blue games but slightly redesigned to allow 2 players and co-op, was a shame you can’t Co-op against Team rocket.
All in all great, and lucky my friends got Let’s go Evee allowing us to trade the few pokemon you can’t catch in this game.

I played the whole game through German just to get a 6iv ditto for Masuda method and it worked aswell as picking up two shiny dittos all 3 are now safely on my Pokemon shield game grinding 5-6iv Pokemon for shiny love this game because it’s the easiest way of getting a 6iv foreign ditto if your willing to play in a different language pick it up once you beat elite four go to cerulean cave and chain 31 ditto then aim for 1805cp urll get one eventually

Looks great, interesting to play and CUTE! Everything you want from a Pokemon game. As ever very similar to the previous releases only with a more up to date look. The core of the game remains mostly unchanged.

Being able to play on the TV or handheld is a cool option.

This is probably the best Pokemon game yet. it is great for beginners and experienced players alike. at first it is mildly annoying that you cannot battle wild Pokemon but I actually think i like this version better, all in all it is a very good game and I would thoroughly recommend buying i

Kids love it. I’ve only given it a 4 because I think all computer games are over priced that’s my opinion, but my 8 and 4 year old love it, it’s an easy game for them to play.

It was a bit strange at first but I soon got used to it. The bad thing was you can’t catch legendary pokemons if you don’t win your gym but I didn’t know that and hard to win elite fours too

I grew up playing Pokemon Blue and Yellow in the 90s so I was a bit hesitant in purchasing this game due to the Pokemon Go mechanics. I have to say this game was such a nostalgic adventure and the Pokemon Go features didn’t put me off as I thought it would. The game is a lot easier than the original on the Gameboy due to the missing features such as wild Pokemon battles etc, but I haven’t played a Pokemon game since Gold 20 odd years ago so this was perfect for me to ease back in.

This game is just a good adventure for new players and for long term fans. I played red and my brother blue version in 1999. Have so much memories for those times that i wanted to just play the original version again in the modern era and was not disapointed. The game is easy and let you just enjoy it, the catch system is pokemon-go which is the only con i would put in the game since i dont like that much that system.
But is a cute well made adventure. And oh boy kanto looks gorgeous.
Is a must buy in my opinion if you like pokemon and have a switch

Not sure why people dislike it its basically the same game from the first Pokemon games(red, blue yellow) but with better graphics and more things included. The updated graphics make the familiar areas and towns seem much more alive and seeing the posters and signs clearly is a nice touch.
The grass moving and Pokemon walking inside it makes it feel more alive too. Cut-scenes are added for certain areas and characters and they are usually cute and add to the story nicely.

Walking with certain Pokemon will sometimes give different reactions to the environment, again a nice touch.
There are still loads of battles in this, many trainers to battle and gyms too, I’ve not even completed it yet but its an awesome Pokemon adventure. If you even liked the originals then you should check this out until sword/shield comes out. Some surprises are in here too and trades are still there.

THE GAME HASN’T REALLY INTERESTED OUR DAUGHTER SHES BEEN GLUED TO POKEMON GO APP & PLAYING CARDS ETC: BUT THIS GAME SHE CLASSES AS BORING BUT THATS HER OPINION YOUNGER KIDS MIGHT LIKE IT BUT ITS NOT CHALLENGING ENOUGH OR REALLY EXCITING FOR TEENAGERS.

This was bought as a gift for my partner as we always buy both versions between us and have a few days to ourselves where we play the games. This one was a very good entry into the series and I can’t wait to see what they do for the next one.
P.s my partner loves it too!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis is a fantastic game and a great nostalgic throwback to Pokemon Yellow and after finishing it – I want more!!

There is no doubt about it this is Pokemon at it’s most simple which is both good and bad. The game is ridiculously easy. Whenever there is a hard bit, it’s too easy to find a way around it. Struggling to catch a Pokmon – shake the other controller and use 2 Pokballs at once to double your chances! The game allows you to do 2 v 1 against any trainer battle which, while great for allowing people to introduce young kids etc to the games, the battles become too easy.

Everything about the original Pokemon Yellow, down to checking Pikachu’s happiness level whilst walking around is brought over from the original and enhanced massively. When checking Pickahu you can pet and feed him which whilst it seems childish, as a 29 year old – I found myself doing it before asking Pikachu to cut down trees etc just to hear that cute happy squeal!

Oh, did I mention I completed the Pokdex? I never managed this on the original but with the help of Pokmon Go on my phone and trading with random people online, I managed to collect the Eevee version exclusives.

All of the additions help this game and all have clearly been thought out to refine this game for its intended purpose. Introduce a new generation to Pokmon in the same way that we were back in the 90s. All updated for a modern audience, making it different enough for the original trainers to enjoy.

Amazing fun like I’m a kid again. Very addictive and the new art style and graphics look amazing. I quite like the inclusion of your starter Pokemon walking around with you and the Pokemon go like catching system. However my only two problems is the fact you have to trade online to evolve certain Pokemon and if you have no friends to trade with your Pokemon get knicked and you can’t even rename traded Pokemo

Pokemon games are nearly always wonderful anyway, but this one is much more inclusive for a younger audience or those new to Pokemon. It’s not a traditional Pokemon game, and if adults play I find Player One has all the control and Player Two can’t do a great deal outside of catching or battling, but if player two were a child I think it would be an amazing way to involve a younger child without them feeling they’re doing anything wrong or pressing the wrong buttons. Having said that, it’s still fun as a single play adult, so I would recommend regardless.

Does give me nostalgia of yellow, and the overall gameplay is great. The only issue I have is with the montion control method of capturing which in some cases just does not work. If using another method no problems at all!

I was apprehensive to buy this game due to some negative comments i.e. no Pokemon battles; Pokemon go catching mechanics. However playing this over the weekend has made me really love this game. The graphic is the best I’ve seen on a Pokemon game and I really enjoyed playing it on a big screen. I’m gonna get another copy for my nephew and hoping that he will like it too.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI was a bit scared to get this game, as an ongoing Pokemon player I was looking forward to visiting the landmarks of my first Pokemon game (Pokemon Yellow), yet knew that some of the changes to the mainline gaming could feel awkward and directed at new players.
All my doubts were washed away as you start playing the game. The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is fluid with the lack of wild battles. It directs you more to catching the Pokemon, creating combos, and levelling up all different pokemon so that you won’t have to stick to your main Pikachu/Eevee. There’s a great amount of Pokemon that you can get from the first few hours of game, and you’ll eventually get taken into catching more and more. Only after a few hours did I remember that maybe I should start getting some badges.
Over all, it’s a great new experience to keep you hooked to your Switch until the mainline games arrive next year.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nostalgia meets progressio

Have been a fan of pokemon since I was a kid. Now I can play with my 4 year old and she can actually help as we go. A fantastic way to get new players into the franchise. Also the game looks awesome and is easy to control. Play in handheld mode for the best single player experience, but it is good fun to play Co op on the big screen.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersI was so over joyed when I finally received this game today. I don’t know why people are complaining about this game because you can only catch wild pokemon or feed them (it’s something that we all have to get used to it). Game Freak surprises me every time when they release new video games based on pokemon and all I can say is to keep up with the good work. My favourite part on this game is that you can get your pokemon out of their pokeball and they will walk with you where ever you go. I can’t wait to start riding on them and I have been waiting for this day to come since I was a child.

Golden Review Award: 50 From Our UsersThis isn’t a normal Pokemon Game. It is a spin-off using the Original Pokemon Yellow game as a base with a mix of Pokemon GO mechanics. If you love Pokemon and will play just about anything Pokemon then this is great eye candy and time waster.

I won’t argue that it’s too easy. Because it is very easy. But that’s ok. This games aim is to introduce new players in.

If you are looking for a Traditional Pokemon game with deep mechanics and more difficulty then you’ll have to wait until next year.

I’ve been playing Pokemon since the very beginning and to me this game is enough of a nostalgia trip to keep me occupied until the next main line Pokemon game comes.
