Only issue is size of screen.
Bit too large for 7yo girl.
Looks stylish and cute, but very easy to damage.
Some type of protective cover for screen would be great, as first scratches appeared in day 2, she didn’t notice how swiped it against some rock wall.
This watch is brilliant! Worth every penny! The call feature is perfect, giving my son a little more sense of independence/ responsibility, like walking to shops,( I can be on call whilst he walks) great for keeping in touch if he is playing out , we can contact each other at all times! He can independently stay in touch with family and friends, He absolutely loves this watch and all the features! I was shocked how good and clear the audio is, even the camera quality is good, defo worth the money and have recommended it to friends that have since bought for their children! Would highly recommend! So pleased with it!
The watch works really well for this price!
Phone calls are clear on both ends. I tried a 3g sim but this did not work. I then tried a 2g gift gaff sim and this works perfectly (sim needed 24 hours activation).
Touch screen pretty normal .
Camera is basic.
Battery gets a day use.
Great product. Easy to set up and use.
My daughter loves it .. good introduction to “phone” type technology without having a full phone product.
Daughters answers – age 9
Camera is ok – fit for purpose.
Battery- great.
Phone – great needs a sim I got a giff gaff.
Games- likes all of them.
Activity tracker – love counting my steps.
Would recommend
8 year old daughter Loves this watch. Great value First smart watch. Sadly not GPS but this is low end value. The Step counter which is actually what she wanted (fit bit type watch) is very poor. It said 27 steps when daughter walked 12. It’s sadly very inaccurate. Lovely strap and watch otherwise. But is large wouldn’t suggest for child any younger than 8 personally.
great little watch for kids. Has so many features and great way to keep little ones playing with it. The features include: Two-way Calling function, pedometer, 24 Games, 3 Alarms, Dual Cameras, Mp3 Music Player, Voice Recorder, Calculator, Calendar, Language Switching and more. It comes with a decent sized screen and a press button to turn on the camera and a separate button to turn the watch on and off. My little girl enjoys using her smart watch. It has a calling function but i haven’t inserted a sim yet. The watch comes with a really nice velcro strap and is very easy to put on and adjust. The strap is lightweight and easy to clean and not your usual rubber strap. There are quite a few functions for little ones to play around with quite a few to mention. this makes for a great gift and priced really well.
The given product is just a toy for children, this is not a smart watch where you have a lot of options this watch it has some games, you can do photos and videos, due to the sim card it allows to make calls and also has a function in emergency situations, unfortunately it doesn’t have GPS function to see where your child is at the moment this is a good product as a gift but to be sincere , nowadays children prefer to use phones and to watch cartoons and different funny videos on YouTube
This smartwatch is great for keeping in touch with the kids as this comes with an SOS call function.
This kid’s smartwatch has a high-definition 1.54in touch screen with a one-button camera. It is also equipped with a two-way calling function as well as an SOS which can be simply tapped twice and automatically dials three phone numbers in two rounds until someone answers the alarm call. Meanwhile, the velcro strap is made of nylon which is also freely adjustable. As to the menus, it has a built-in 24 puzzle games, a clock, a pedometer, a torch, and others.
Upon receiving this, I gave it to my niece as a gift. I would say first that it feels of a good quality and something that would last. She was elated with how stylish it is while the purple colour is her favourite.
I must say that the menus are pretty useful and handy. I also appreciate the two-way call and emergency call which I think will make us less worried about her safety since this one could somewhat be a help. Another is that the screen is nice and smooth to touch which is something my niece also appreciates.
All in all, I must say that this is not just an ordinary smartwatch and is fun with the installed games.
A simple smartwatch that’s perfect for small kids. Not the greatest of features and quality, but for the price of 33 (with an additional 3 voucher at the time of writing), this smartwatch is perfect for daily use. It arrives in a small box with a USB charging cable, and instruction manual.
There are four different colour variants, and I picked black as my son loves black colour and he totally loves his new watch.
It has all the basic features as a phone, to call and receive calls, games, a calculator, alarm clock, music player, camera, and many more. You’ll require a UK nano sim card to make calls. I like that it also comes with an SOS feature, so your child can press this to call you directly during an emergency.
The watch has a robust, and comfortable strap that fits my 7-year old son’s hand nicely. The screen is quite large, the overall build seems fairly sturdy.
In summary, this is a fun reasonably-priced first smartwatch for small kids, all the features work as intended, and most importantly my son loves his new cool watch, which makes him feel like a big boy.
My 6yr old daughter was keen for a smart watch as she loves checking her steps on her mum’s watch. We couldn’t believe all the features on this and it is so intuitive that we haven’t had to teach her how to use the different functions, she has sussed it out for herself.
We haven’t added a SIM card as she is much to young for that, but she can still use all the features except phone calls etc. It is useful that we have stored our numbers in there though as she could use that if lost on a day out (normally I write our numbers on their arms). She is scared of the dark so the torch has been great and she loves the camera. Lots of hilarious photos of her and her best friend! It beeps when it needs charging which is helpful, doesn’t take long to charge it up either. One thing to watch is the games. She loves them but obviously is extra screen time so we just keep an eye on them not being overly used and she doesn’t have the watch over night.
This was given as a sixth birthday present so she is young. The strap is slightly on the big side and only just fits her with a slight annoying overhang of unused strap where I’ve pulled it as tight as I can. Not enough to stop us purchasing another for her brother. Great that you can buy different colours. Also good for teaching digital time.
Would definitely (and have!) recommend to others as a first smart watch.
As usual, the package arrived very quickly from Amazon.
I ordered this PTHTICHUS Kids Blue Smart Watch for my Nephew as he is not allowed to have a phone yet. Inside the box is the watch and a short USB-A to Micro USB cable.
The watch has a touch screen, so is very easy to navigate. The watch has many things to keep in happy, including 24 Games, Dual Cameras, a Calculator, Pedometer, etc, you can even use a 2G Sim Card so that he can make and receive calls on the watch, but my sister will not be allow him to use this.
When I gave it to him and he opened the box, his eyes lit up, (I had already set the watch up for him and for the video) I then showed him as many of the features of the watch that I had learnt while making the video for this review.
Since he has been using the watch he has been wearing it to school, and one of his favourite things to use is the cameras, he is taking selfies of himself with his friends, a lot. If one of his friends brings something new to school, he takes a photo of it, when he gets home he shows it to his mum or dad, and says “look what my friend has, nice isn’t it, he’s so lucky”, hint, hint. The other thing he likes is the pedometer, everyday he comes home from school he says to his mum “how many steps have you done today”, and he always seems to do more than her, well he is a kid, and he does what kids do, runs around playing all day. I think in a month or two my sister will wish I had never got it for him, if she doesn’t already .
I really like this watch, and my nephew definitely does, so it’s 5 stars from us.
At the time of writing this review the price is 33, but at the moment there is a 4 discount voucher bringing the price down to 29, which I think is a reasonable price.
The squares on the table I use when photographing and videoing items are 1cm squares, you can use them to help you judge the size of items I photograph.
I hope you have found this review and video helpful.
Okay so I am not a huge fan of younger kids having technology but when it comes to peace of mind, I would not mind kids of 5+ having this watch mainly for its phone feature. My sister has a 7yr old who often likes to go and play in the local park with her friends. Although it is really not far away, my sister still worries of her whereabouts etc. I gave her this watch to test out on her daughter and this was her response:
This watch is great for my daughter. She loves the fact it is a touch screen as I think it makes her feel she has a watch like my grown-up version. We got a sim card for it so we could try the phone facility and I was super chuffed when it worked properly with no problems. Now when she goes to the park, I can call her to check she is ok. The sound is reasonable for what it is although I do find you have to have it close to your ear to hear and talk. My daughter tends to hold it too far away when speaking which makes it a little less easy to hear, but nonetheless, I don’t call her to have a conversation but more to check she is safe. The watch also offers lots of other features such as games, a step counter, torch, calculator etc. Aside from the phone, my daughter does play the odd game and enjoys seeing how many steps she has done in one day so she is definitely enjoying it. My personal opinion is, that it is a good item if not a little on the cheap feeling side, but the fact I can check on her without her actually owning a mobile phone is brilliant. For this fact alone I’d score it 4 stars out of 5. Thank you.
Kids smart watch
An adorable little kids watch, that they can make calls with, tell the time on, take pictures, record videos, play games, keep track of steps and more.
The watch has a lovely rainbow coloured, adjustable strap, with a nice sized touch screen, at 5cm x 4cm x 1cm. On the screen, there are two cameras, one at the front, one on the top side. The side of the screen has a torch, a quick camera access button and a power button. The other side has the charging port covered up and sim area.
The main screen shows the time and date etc. This can be customised, as well as the watch display too. The menu opens up a range of otpions, these are –
* Contacts, add mom, dad, Nan, grandpa etc.
* Dial, call out.
* Camera, this can be used for normal, selfies, or recording. You can use filters and frames too, making it more fun.
* Photos.
* Video player, plays all recordings.
* Music, add your own songs
* Torch
* Theme
* Tools, includes a school mode so it’s nice and quiet.
* pedometer
* Games, 14 to play. The majority of these are good, a couple weren’t amazing.
* Settings
The touch screen works quite well. Accessing all of the features is easy to do and navigating your way through. The games are fun, as it the camera also. I would recommend it. Lots of fun for the little ones but I don’t think I’d give it past aged 8.
I originally got the smart watch for my daughter with her being a child’s swimming teacher so she could count her calories & steps each day but it’s NOT waterproof so my niece got a loan of it, she constantly checking her step, taking pictures, realised theirs games on it (within the first hour of having it on her wrist), the screen on the watch is pretty responsive to your touch also, there is so much more to this smart watch as you get a recorder, a calculator, music, a calendar, video recording, a torch, games & more! What I LOVE about the smart watch is your able to get calls, dialled numbers & received in coming calls, it so perfect for a child who loves technology but your wanting them to be able to call someone if their is an emergency or they need help
My 9 year old had pester me for a while for a smart watch so in the end I went with this one as I liked that it had the call feature on it. She seems to really like it, my only criticism would be the battery seems to drain quickly.
A nice smartwatch by PTHTECHUS.
There are four variant colours available to choosefrom. The Nylon strap with Velcro closure is a unique style. It is very handy for the kids.
The box includes a micro USB charging cable and a user manual. The watch comes with an SD card installed to save the pictures, etc. The camera is basic but fun for kids to use for selfies. The other functions that will attract kids more are the torch and 24 puzzle games. The watch supports a 2G micro-sim card. A plus is that the smartwatch can be used with or without a sim card.
Good for the price.
This smart watch would make a nice gift.
I have a similar watch for my elder son so wanted one for the second one. This has similar features only the strap is a bit different and better than the other one.
Following are some of my key observations about this kid smartwatch I have noticed after early usage:
Pros
– The screen is sharp and bright
– The battery life is reasonable as compared to its price range and the fact it supports a mobile connection
– Some interesting features other then the mobile option are dual camera, torch, calculator and a number of games that my son just loves.
– Unlike others in the budget price range this watch comes with an easy to follow guidebook.
Cons:
– The dual camera quality is very basic but good fun for kids.
At this price, this is a good option for someone who wants a mobile watch within budget for kids
