I am a natural brunette. And I died my hair blonde. And this has kept my blonde hair in for a very long time. I had her dresser says that i’ve taken really good care of my hai
Love the way this shampoo smells. It cleans my hair without making it dry. It’s soft, shiny and smells great. Only thing I hate is the price! Holy cow. Lol. That’s why I only use it once a week and use my coconut shampoo the other times.
Happy with this shampoo that works for my highlighted fine blond /going grey hair. I have used Pureology shampoo and conditioner for years, but normally use the hydrate sheer. The strength cure blond shampoo doesn’t latter as much as the hydrate one so you have to used a bit more shampoo but it does tone down the brassy colour and helps to blend in my grey. I also find that with Pureology you don’t need to wash your hair so often.
Other reviews have mention that the purple/blue colour stains everything but I don’t have a huge problem with this. Yes your fingers are slightly blue around the nails just after the hair wash, but one hand wash and it is all gone. If you do get the colour on the tiles or shower screen, it is easily rinsed off with water, no scrubbing or cleaning materials needed. Would buy again.
The first purple shampoo/conditioner to make a noticeable difference to my blond (highlighted) bits – results in a really ash tone. BUT star removed because it stains white grouting and matt wall paint if you’re too enthusiastic when using. Will likely buy again.
My white hair was looking yellow. Several people told me that I should use purple shampoo to get rid of the yellow and make my hair look whiter. I had used Pureology shampoo before and liked it, so I tried this. It definitely got rid of the yellow but makes my hair look gray instead of white. I think I prefer looking like a platinum blonde to a gray-haired lady.
I have had my hair dyed blonde for many years and over time the blonde will turn yellowish. This product helps me to keep the blonde’s tone more natural and beautiful. It also has a pleasant smell.
Recently I bleached my hair from dark brown to blonde, so my hair are still yellowish. I have already shampoo from this set and I love it. This conditioner is really good. It leaves my hair soft and freeze free. My blond is beautiful after using it. Would highly recommend i
Makes my hair so soft and lovely.
It is easy to use it and hydrated my hair, very easy to brush and I will definitely recommend it!
Also, gives my hair a lovely tone. Great value for money!
This works really well to help keep my blonde hair light and I only need to use it once a week so i know its going to last me a while. It also makes my hair soft and I love the smell of it too. I’ve always been a fan of Pureology and this product doesn’t disappoint. It’s vegan too which is a bonus.
My partner loves the Pureology brand. All their products have been very well received in our household. This conditioner for blonde hair is easy to apply and leaves your hair feeling lovely and soft, tangle free and with a gorgeous scent. This is now her new favourite conditioner.
Update: I’ve gone a very blond shade however my hair had a slight warmth at the roots. This works reallt well at taking the warmth away. I should add if your ends are cool then only use this where the hair is warm as it will make cool shades look alot cold. Have changed to 5 stars and added a photo. My original hair colour or dark brown and this works much better than purple shampoo as it’s more of a cobalt blue pigment.
the blue colour on this is like paint! So be sure to use it only before the cleaner comes or before you clean the shower or bath. It does a good job of neutralizing brassyness or warm tones but i left mine on about 2 minutes to really work into the hair.
The conditioner is a lot darker than I expected but it doesn’t stain my hands or the shower walls and it gave pretty results! It smells lovely, it’s thick and I didn’t need to use too much, and it surprisingly made my hair feel strong. The biggest negative is when my hair’s wet it tangles more than my other conditioners so it took longer to brush out the knots and it was especially bad near my scalp. Another issue is that the bottle’s lid is impossible to open so I’m constantly hurting my fingers when I try.
I leave toning shampoo in my hair long enough to make it lavender instead of white but it’s patchy from previous dying. And I bleached it too many times in one week so my hair is damaged, stringy, and is impossible to brush without losing chunks (especially when it’s wet) so it’s not necessarily the conditioner’s fault that my hair is harder to brush but it’s the only product to make it this bad.
I almost fixed my colours to be one tone and this conditioner was the final product to help. Now it’s lavender with whitish highlights and it’s the prettiest combination I’ve seen. It made my hair feel really soft and stronger instead of weak and stringy which is wack considering how damaged it is- but like I said it’s harder to brush so it at least takes 10 minutes to get the knots out.
I cannot recommend this conditioner strongly enough! In fact. I have been using Pureology hair products for a full year now and even have a subscription on conditioner – it takes the brassiness away instantly! Do leave it in for 15 minutes though if you want a truly ashy blonde shade! Highly recommended!
This is a very deep purple almost dark blue conditioner and it smells really nice.
I left it on my hair for about 20/25 minutes and it has made such a massive difference!!!
I have a lot of red in my hair so when it’s bleached it’s very brassy – this really reduced the orange/yellow tones a lot!!
I definitely think after continuous use this is going to make all the difference.
It’s not as conditioning as my other pureology conditioner but I think this is great to use every other hair wash.
The product of this brand are general on the pro level so this conditioner doesn’t need a lot of products to work.
I have gold tones on my blonde hair and I use this one to make them more on the ash ones.
It works great but I would define it more as a mask than a conditioner as you need to leave it on for at least 5 minutes to see the effect of it on your hair.
And to be honest, I don’t like it when I have to wait under the shower.
Overall good product with a good scent that lasts.
This toning conditioner works very well leaving my hair soft and silky and reducing any yellow tones
I found a little went a long way and smoothed into my hair well. I didn’t leave it for 5 minutes as I only have very short hair and this length of time would have changed the colour. I simply massaged it into the hair for a minute or so and it worked well at reducing the brassy tones.
Good Value and Recommended
I love the pureology range as a little goes a long way, they smell nice and they make my hair feel good
And this conditioner is no exception.
The bottle looks expensive and like a high end brand. I have full bleached highlights and I used this after using my purple shampoo. I brushed it through my whole hair then washed it out.
It felt super silky smooth. I couldn’t figure out what the scent was but it definitely smelt nice. It appears to have helped with any brassy tones too.
Overall I’m impressed and would continue to use this conditioner now
This conditioner has a very thick consistency. A little goes a long way. It left my hair super soft and hydrated! I don’t think it did much to improve the brassy tones but still a nice conditioner.
Over the years i have tried many different conditioners that claim to tone down brassiness but this has actually been my favourite as it actually delivered on what it promised.
It’s deep purple in colour so it has enough pigment to it to make an impact.
Thankfully it does not turn your hair purple, it just seems to softens it to a nice warm shade, just like it is after first being dyed.
I tend to use purple conditioner for a couple of weeks after I colour it.
I leave it in for about 5 minutes, towel dry then put a lightweight hair mask on it for a but of extra moisturising.
With us being in lockdown currently and hairdressers being closed this is a godsend and i have had a few comments while at work about my hair looking good, I think they suspect i’ve been seeing my hairdresser on the sly!
I ordered the purple shampoo and I can say that it worked for my hair, so I decided to try this purple conditioner to see what would happen. This conditioner was smaller than I expected and wasn’t that heavy either. However, when I used it, it was just amazing.
It left the damaged and burnt parts of my hair very silky and quite shiny, I honestly couldn’t believe how good it was, it was great. I just wish there was more of it since it is quite expensive.
I hope this review helps other people looking for this item or other similar products on Amazon.
I’ve been growing out my old dyed blonde for over 3 years to my natural grey and discovering the old dyed hair looking increasingly ‘blorange’ against my silver hair. This Pureology brand Strength Cure Blonde Violet Conditioner combined with the violet shampoo is the best purple shampoo and conditioner I’ve tried and trust me, I have tried many. It makes my hair feel silky soft and best of all, gets rid of the ‘blorange’ ends, toning them right down and enhancing my natural silver too, an absolute win/win. The conditioner is a thick creamy consistency that’s dark purple, so wear disposable gloves as it stains your nails. I apply to my ends after shampooing with Pureology’s purple shampoo and leaving it in my hair for 5 minutes then rinse. I am genuinely a fan of Pureology hair products, although they’re expensive they really work, my hair has never felt so silky and healthy since using this Pureology Conditioner, I’ve even asked my son to get me a litre sized bottle for Christmas I like it so much. Please see my photos, I hope my review is helpful to you, thank you for reading it.
