Bought this to connect a Samsung non HDMI monitor to a laptop with only a HDMI ouput, as the monitors only have DVI and VGA inputs.
Had my fingers crossed it would work and it does perfectly.
The cable is of a decent quality and the length matched what was stated. The connectors either end look solid enough to me and connected up as they should with no looseness or excessive stiffness.
Purchased this to connect a PC monitor to a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop. Works as expected, good image quality. Cable is a decent length. Tends to flicker if my mobile is too close to the PC monitor but other than that no issues and a great price!
I recently upgraded my GPU and the new one no longer had a DVI port so I couldn’t use my old second monitor anymore, however, this was the perfect solution – I just plugged the HDMI into my new GPU and the DVI into my old monitor and it worked perfectly.
I bought this cable so I could use my old desktop screen with my laptop. I went to Curry’s to make sure I was getting the correct cable. I was going to buy it there but they wanted 20 for it. I’m so glad I got this, I paid a fraction of the cost. It was literally plug it in and it worked instantly. I’m absolutely delighted.
This product “does what it says on the tin”. I bought this to run a second screen from my laptop whilst working from home, which it does well and is very well priced
I was trying to add a new monitor to a PC that wasn’t old but didn’t have any of the newer type of ports such as DP. To a non techy person it was quite complicated and 3 other solutions didn’t work, some kind of backwards incompatibility but this product was recommended to me by a tech and it worked first time and it’s of a good quality. Don’t muddle with trial and error…..ask someone who knows their stuff !
Nothing to dislike about this product in my opinion it works as required with no issues. I needed this cable to connect my VCR to my HDMI TV so that I could review old VCR tapes and decide what to place onto a disc for future viewing.
Well I’m really pleased to say that Sandy is doing everything I had hoped he would and I couldn’t be more proud of him. I currently own a Microsoft Surface laptop 2 and I have used the Lention device to connect one monitor through HDMI and the other monitor through VGA. When the VGA to VGA is plugged in it all works fine until I plug the HDMI into the Lention device the VGA turns off the monitor and the HDMI seems to work ONLY.
So I have tried the alternative, I disconnected the VGA and I connect DVI to HDMI and connect the other monitor using HDMI to HDMI which works however, I am unable to extend onto 2 displays at the same time, it will only mirror the 2 screens as extended displays.
Any suggestions here please?
Purchased a new monitor without realising it couldn’t link to my old desktop computer after a little research I found this wonderful cable and it worked like a treat. I didn’t know that a DVI to HDMI cable existed and the picture quality is not compromised…thought I would send the monitor back or have a buy a new computer – no, this little cable did the job
This cable is a HDMI to DVI connector. The male DVI end of the cable connects to the monitor which has got a female DVI connection. I used it to connect my laptop with HDMI connection to my old monitor with DVI-D connection. Works perfectly and the resolution is much better than a VGA connection.
There’s not a lot you can say about a monitor cable IMHO but I needed one urgently and this arrived promptly and was decent quality. It was an interim measure and is now in a drawer so I can’t comment on longevity but I see no reason why you wouldn’t buy one of these and I would again if necessary.
Works great with my dell computer and samsung monitor. Cable is long enough to connect the two with cable to spare (I can move the monitor and computer away from each other easily with them still being connected). I use this for work purposes and highly recommend it! Can’t comment for gaming, etc.
I needed a cable to connect my laptop to my monitor. The cable arrived quickly and packging was good. The cable itself feels like it is good quality. The HDMI end fitted snugly and it doesn’t feel like it will come loose.
The picture was sharp and i will be buying more of these cables.
Working from home, I needed a second screen as the work laptop was too small – I have to have a few programs open at once. This cable means I can easily change between work and home stuff, just by swapping one cable over. Quality of the monitor is very good and it makes work much easier.
The cable arrived on time and it does the job. I got it to connect a 2nd screen to my laptop as I’m currently working from home and so far the picture quality is as expected and I’ve not had any issues with the connection. Note – I connected it using the HDMI port on laptop and the DVI port on my monitor.
The quality of the product is excellent. The cable is nice and chunky with cable strain relief at both ends.
The plugs fit perfectly. I had the thumb screws with mine and it does look exactly as the picture of the product for sale.
The quality of the picture looks perfect with no flickering, ghosting, colour issues etc so for me a perfect solution to connect my laptop to my monitor.
No issues from my side so certainly a recommended product!
The cable allows me to connect my laptop to an external monitor and extend my screen. I don’t know too much about picture quality but I can see no issues there – the display looks great. The cable is chunky and I think it’s going to last. It is very good value for money.
I really needed a cable for my monitor as i needed to my pc a dual monitor setup and the monitor i was needed only had a DVI input and i wasnt really expecting this to work. But i was really surprised that im getting an amazing quality. The other cables i used before use to shut off every 10secs when im playing games. I am really glad with this purchase
Would I recommend it? Yes. If you require an HDMI to DVI cable, then this is the cable for you, especially if your display in no further than 1.8m from the source. If it is further away then this is not the cable or you and you should consider a longer cable.
What else can I say? The thumb screws work well and it came nicely packaged.
