These are by far my favourite. I had tried a heated brush but due to my style (bob) I had to buy these. So much smoother on my hair, quick to heat up & easy to use. Highly recommend
An ideal straightener if you’re looking for something cheap and cheerful. They don’t take too long to heat up which is perfect if you’re in a rush or just impatient like me. They glide really nicely along the hair and I have had no issues in terms of snagging. They go as high as 235 or as low as 80 which is perfect if you have fairly damaged hair but would still like to straighten it. They have an auto shut-off after 1 hour which is SO important. I have always been terrible for panicking about leaving my straighteners on no matter how many times I check and double check, so this has been really reassuring for me. All in all I think they’re a very decent straightener and considering they’re only 26 you can’t knock them.
I don’t use hair straighter much, but since changed my hairstyle completely, I need to use a hair straighter from time to time to smooth my very unruly hair so I don’t look like a walking haystack.
I had Revlon hair straightener before and I was very happy, so the seemed like it is going to be a good choice again and I am happy got say I was not wrong.
I really like that there is a big selection of the temperature to choose from, which I have personally not seen anywhere before and even if you choose the highest setting it takes only a few seconds to get it heated up.
You can use this hair straighter for curing hair as well, but I am getting all mixed up with that so my friend does it for me, but it works really well.
All in all I good choice at a reasonable price – very happy.
Lightweight and quick to heat up. They quickly and effortlessly leave my hair straight and smooth. They do snag the hair slightly but not like most cheap straighteners do. The cable could do with being longer but overall good straighteners for the price and perfect for taking travelling whilst I leave my GHDs at home.
Simple to use straight from the box, quick read of the instructions gives you a guide to turning the straighteners on and adjusting the heat to your preference.
One of the best features in my opinion is the safety ones. Thought has gone into this and these straighteners can be locked so that they cannot be opened once you’ve pushed a switch. This is brilliant as many people have young children. I have seen burns from straighteners and they are not nice which is why I was always fanatical about unplugging and wrapping up my old paIr the moment I had finished with them.
This set can be locked and also have an automatic shut off button if they are left unattended for too long (ie you have forgotten to switch them off).
They also have a heat safe bag for storage between use.
Oh and they work beautifully, I have had lots of nice comments about my hair when I’ve used them.
My wife and teenage daughter couldn’t be more impressed with the results from this Revlon Smoothstay Coconut Oil-Infused Hair Straightener. Not only does it have 10 adjustable heat settings to accommodate different hair types and styles, but it also leaves their hair feeling silky and smooth. My wife’s hair is thin and wavy, so she was pleased to see that the straightener reduced frizz and left her hair looking sleek and shiny. She also lovedthe coconut oil infusion because it nourished her hair as she styled it. My teenage daughter has more normal, wavy hair and was able to easily create gorgeous straight styles with the straightener. The heat settings allowed her to choose the perfect temperature for her hair type, ensuring that she didn’t damage her locks. Overall, they recommend the Revlon Smoothstay Coconut Oil-Infused Hair Straightener to anyone in need of a good quality hair styling tool that’s reasonably priced. Not only does it produce great results, but it also takes care of your hair with its nourishing coconut oil infusion. Includes a lovely travel pouch as well.
Great packaging alongside a heat mat & bag to ensure it doesn’t burn anything else is a nice fire safety precaution to have around. Nice one Revlon; it is perfect when it comes to straightening hair, it does a good job and I only had to use it 3-4 times to straighten my hair. My old hair straightener was really bad in the sense that, it took time to heat up and wouldn’t straighten my hair. This is a nice upgrade for the price. So really happy with it, would recommend.
Nice straighteners. Feel nice to hold and use but dont find them as effective on my hair.
I like the variation of temperatures and there easy to switch between. The cable is a good length too.
I was able to do straight and curls in my hair easily with these although the curls weren’t as tight as my high end straighteners.
The straighteners have a locking mechanism at the base which I think is very neat and 10 heat settings which are clearly displayed which the LED lights on the straighteners (80C, 90C, 140C, 160C, 180C, 190C, 205C, 215C, 225C and 235C). They also feature an hour shutoff timer which gives peace of mind in case you accidently leave them on and it also has a 1.8m swivel cord which gives great flexibility. There are three buttons to the side — an off/on button and + / – buttons to adjust the temperature to your desired setting. The LED light flashes white whilst the plates heat up and then becomes solid when it has reached temperature — it is reasonably quick to heat up.
The straighteners use 25mm rounded edge ceramic tourmaline plates and with a maximum temperature of 235C the straighteners offer great versatility. The unique selling point of these straighteners are that the triple coated ceramic floating plates are infused with coconut oil (not really sure how this works!) and in conjunction with ionic technology, the straighteners reduce static and frizz — the results produced so far are great.
I am using the straighteners on long fairly fine hair which is naturally gently wavy. When straightened with these straighteners my hair does feel very smooth and does last the day (as long as it’s not super humid or raining!). I have also used these straighteners to style loose curls and it didn’t create any crease marks in my hair due to the rounded edges of the plates.
Priced at 29.99 at the time of reviewing I think that this is good value for money. I love that it comes with a storage / travel pouch (although it isn’t heatproof so make sure to cool your straighteners before packing them away!) and I found them lightweight enough to use with ease without my arms getting too tired. The straighteners produced good results leaving my hair soft and smooth so for a budget set of straighteners I can definitely recommend them.
I use Revlon styling tools and these straighteners are nicely made and it has a great range of temperatures for different types of hair.
It has a decent storage/travel pouch better than others I have tried.
The straighteners are lockable for more compact storage, easy to use snd great quality.
A decent standard straightener to use for those with thin to normal hair types, it takes a few tries for a straightening effect for those with coarse hair and the temperature can be set according to your hair type and liking. Has a LED mode temperatures which tells you how hot the straightener are. It is infused with coconut oil, so gives you that boost shine. If you have really short hair , I wouldn’t advise using it as it can burn your scalp but for those with short- shoulder length and mid length hair I recommend this straightener, as it’s cost effective and does the job well.
I use hair straighteners every day – I have shortish, fine, wavy hair that is more than a little unruly!
So what’s good about these straighteners?
They have all the features you expect from a modern hair care product –
* No-tangle swivel cord
* Auto switch off
* Dual voltage for travel use
* Hanging ring
* Floating plates
* Ceramic plates
* Plate-locking switch
* Multiple heat settings
* Tourmaline to reduce static and frizz (I have this on brushes too – it works)
* Storage pouch
That’s a lot of bang for your buck, which is currently 29.99 (as at 30 January 2023).
The plates have a coconut oil infusion and my current stylers have an argan oil infusion. Both claim to provide visibly smoother results. Since I don’t have a non oil-infused styler to compare against I can’t really judge but I do get a nice smooth finish with both. The ten yes, ten, heat settings (80C – 235C) means you can really adjust to suit your individual requirements – my current styler has nine settings (150C – 230C).
My only quibble would be that the red plastic parts seem well, plasticky so I’m not sure how they’ll hold up long term. The same parts on my current straighteners are much more sturdy, but then they did cost twice the price.
I like them a lot and I’ll be using them daily.
Not sturdy enough unfortunately, I feel the straightener going sides ways when I am straighting my hair, I noticed with my hair works better to use the hair straightiner for styling.
