Fantastic movie and this blu-ray version includes the sing-along lyrics too. Definitely buy this. It’s the best musical of our era by far and the acting and songs are just superb. It’s a 10/10 masterpiece.

The film does start a little slow. But the Film is also a little strange very odd in moments such as the start and trunchable PE lesson most off the film is funny but also quite upsetting. If your expecting a like for like remake of the original your barking up the wrong tree

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe all LOVED this movie and were walking around singing the songs for ages after! Obviously it’s an adaptation so if you’re looking for a like-for-like to the book, this isn’t it – it’s a musical, the songs are fab and overall myself and my family really enjoyed it and we’ve watched it three times in the last few weeks!

Enjoyed the film, songs are great as well as the performances. It’s a shame the physical copy of the film doesn’t come with extras when the digital copy on iTunes does so loses a star for that.

A very good musical. The Matron is a bit over-acted but I think that adds to the value of the other stars. I’m an octogenarian and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe I’m in my second childhood?

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA new & slightly darker take on the Roald Dahl classic Mathilda.

Some fantastic new songs which I believe are not in the stage version.

If you haven’t seen it yet but have seen the 1996 version don’t compare the two as you’ll end up disappointed, obviously for artistic licence they have chopped & changed things.
