Bought this to replace our old tin opener which had finally seized up after 55 years. This one seems to be just as sturdy and it’s silicone handles make it easy to hold for our arthritic fingers.
This has some useful texturing to the handles which makes it easier to grip. It looks and feels sturdy and is very easy to use. Cutting performance compares well two other good quality tin openers we have owned.
Happy with the overall build quality and sturdiness.
I do, at times, have trouble gripping things, kettle pans and can openers. I find can openers hard to squeeze the handle together to open a can. This is so much more comfortable to use with the silicone handles.
The top has a smooth action for opening the can too. Very happy with this.
This is a sturdy and heavy can opener, well made. It is easy to use for me as a left-handed person, my father has arthritis and reduced grip and he found it easy to use as well. Not dishwasher safe which is annoying but not the end of the world. Quite expensive but hopefully it will last many years.
Best can opener I’ve ever had, it’s so easy to use, opens the cans with no problems, easy and quickly. My partner he used it the other day and was very happy with the quality of this can opener and said he wish we had it earlier!
The can opener is sturdy, really well made, good quality and got a good grip on the handles so your hands don’t slip when opening a can.
Can only be hand washed and not suitable for dishwasher which is absolutely fine with me as it won’t take long to wash this by hand.
In my experience you get what you pay for when it comes to tin openers. Buy a cheap one and it’ll struggle to do the job it’s designed to do.
This tin opener is, however, nice and sturdy, with grippy handles. It opens tins easily and efficiently and also has a bottle opener and a hanging hook, should you need them.
Be aware it isn’t dishwasher-safe, but if that’s not a deal-breaker it’s a good solid piece of kit that does its job perfectly.
Arrived on time and from a very good brand. Fairly easy to use but a bit heavy and bulky. I’ve had lighter can openers that do the same job. Overall it’s good but nothing outstanding
You would think that especially in 2022, the cans that need to be opened would all come with the now traditional ring pull. Some cans do, some don’t and in my case, when preparing dinner and the ring pull snaps off. Common sense lead me to the kitchen drawer where I grabbed the cheap plastic 2 tin opener my partner absolutely told me would be rubbish and break the first time I used it and that is exactly what happened. So I wanted to go old school and by old school I wanted a good metal build tin opener that I know will do the job each and every time. This set has a lovely pair of silicon padded handles making it very comfortable to hold and use and the workings are sturdy and big enough not to make the use a chore. Great accessory and tool everyone should have in their kitchen, I have learned my lesson!
