I ordered this board without looking at the measurements and was surprised, but delighted, with the size. Great board for my 3 + 1/2 grand daughter to start learning to write her name.

Have bought 2 of these recently both great apart from one of the shape pieces in the first one was broken and I’ve had no response from the vendor after messaging them

Daughter is almost 2 and sits for ages drawing on it but she carried it around and the handle snapped after a few days. She gets annoyed she cant carry it now but sits and draws for ages. The pieces dont fall out either which is good.

Got this for my 3 year old and he loves it. I got the larger size which was bigger than I expected so pay attention to size! It works really well and is sturdy enough with a carry handle.

*update – customer service contacted me and offered a refund so I’m increasing the stars. Still not 5 as it’s added plastic waste rather than proper Quality Control, but I’m glad CS resolved the issue without asking for any review change**

Despite following the first use instructions, the pen leaves a very faint line after a few seconds. This is the whole of the board, not just one section. Seems to be a manufacturing fault as other reviews seemed OK, but I’m past the return window now as bought before xmas for his bday in Jan.

Nice drawing board. The board seems sturdy. My kids have used it on long car trips and enjoyed it (it would not be appropriate for flights / train trips as quite large).
It is easy to hold and works well so far.
The shapes are stored in holes on the side (so they are flush, not sticking out) and are retained with magnets, which is a great feature as they are less likely to be lost.
I also like the fact it is one colour with no “decorations” around as it makes it look less busy and more sleek. Kids’ drawings are the main focus, not the surrounding.

Feels slightly cheap compared to others I’ve felt however this is good value for the money. My only ‘issue’ is the rainbow background that colours the writing can make it quite hard to see with the yellow- otherwise 5*

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought for a long journey as alternative to iPad for extra entertainment. Bit big for sitting on their knee but the kids still loved them and got used loads on holiday. Feel a little flimsy at first as the plastic is quite thin but we bought 2 for a 5 year old and 2 year old and both are still intact so more robust than they look.

EDIT: The company responded to this review and replaced the defective item. Excellent customer service from them and the new one works perfectly.
Bought this following recommendation from a friend. Delivered on time, but the lever/strip at the back which erases the screen is awful. It doesn’t slide across and gets caught at the back. You need to use quite a bit of force to get it to move again. Something my child (age 5) can’t do on his own so gets quite frustrated and stops using it independently. Saying that the screen is good and we like the shapes too.
    I wouldn’t buy again tbh.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIt seems well enough made, fairly robust. I’ll update this is it breaks. One warning for this and I assume all similar toys/devices is that the pen part is quite pointy and could quite easily be used to stab things, like younger siblings, so it would be best to be vigilant when it’s being used, though this is good advice for any number of toys/products.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersI got this for my reception year daughter to practise her writing with. It’s a really great size for practising word as well as letter formation and has the added bonus of being a fun drawing toy!

I’ve used a magnetic writing board with both my children, and sadly the previous durable one we owned for about seven years (an Aldi special buy) got walked on once too often and broke. I like the size of this replacement, and I’m sure it will withstand a further seven years of being jumped on by children when not in use. The added feature of coloured mark making instead of grey, is a really nice choice that my children like very much. The magnetic shape ‘stamps’ are also a useful feature.

The board is easy to carry about due to having the handle, although I think that younger children would most probably drag it as it’s quite large (but light), compared to their little bodies! The drawing area is about the size of a sheet of A4.

It’s comfortable to put on my four year olds lap to write and draw on, and therefore good for car journeys too.

    Great buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good durable writing board
