Sometimes I use it for shower heads, other times for mop to hang and dry, other times for phone to hold whilst showering and watching my TEDtalks. Easy to use, durable and ligh
It does what it says on the lack, I’ve stuck it to the tile and put my shower head in it, we will see how long it stays , at this point I would recommend.
Worked well, put up easily, probably my fault that I left it on the wall without taking it back down after use .. it fell off but it did stay up for a good few weeks
This is a good product, easy to install and move around the shower as needed. My only gripe is the inability to move the shower head up/down. Otherwise very well worth the price.
The suction power was better than I expected but the angle was less adjustable than expected.
I don’t think I would ever 100% trust any suction cup to work under constant weight long term, but as this was bought to slightly relocate our shower head and so the hose is still attached to the original rail, we didn’t need to worry too much about the consequences if the suction gave way, but I was pleasantly surprised. It also came with a double sided sticker pad for trickier surfaces.
It has been in use for a few weeks with no problems but with any suction cup I’d recommend removing and reattaching it every month or so to refresh the suction power.
The range of adjustment up and down (at right angles to the wall) is quite limited. It rotates parallel to the wall with a good range of motion. This allowed us to get the angle we needed, albeit at an odd sideways angle, but your mileage may vary.
Note that I would recommend attaching this with the lever at the bottom. Having it at the top would allow you to angle it downwards a bit, it would loosen the suction and the weight of the shower could easily pull it down causing the suction to release.
As we are in rental accommodation, changing the fixture permanently was not an option. So this suited us well and, overall, I’m happy with it for our purposes.
This is working great for me in a temporary installation for a few months while I redo the bathroom. Not sure how well it would hold out long-term. It’s 100% plastic, which means it’s not a solid as it could be, but it also won’t damage anything if it falls off the wall. The plastic has no flexibility to it so won’t stretch to fit if your shower head is too big. I’m pretty sure I cracked mine pushing the shower head in but it’s been holding out ok so far. If you’re looking for something permanent then just drill and screw something to your wall. I wouldn’t recommend it as a permanent solution.
This is actually a really fantastic idea. I’ve been trying to install a shower riser for the past year in my flat and due to covid/the fact that I have tile in the shower, it just hasn’t worked out for me. I was able to get this set up in less than 5 minutes and it’s been great, though I need to get used to not holding the shower head at all times while bathing.
PROS: does exactly what it’s meant to, strong suction (wet or dry), is easy to put on and remove, no additional tools required to install, it’s a cheap fix for otherwise costly solutions, it’s changed my showering life.
CONS: the swivel on this isn’t great. You can only bend it up or down about 1-2 cm before it stops moving, so not great for mobility and angling. The holder projects from the wall quite a bit. Frustrating to place if you have the shower box planted in the middle of the wall and you have tiles that split right where you want to place it.
TIP: other commenters have mentioned that it’s quick to unsuction itself from the wall. This is true and happened the first time I installed it. The reason for that is gravity–if there’s too much weight on the holder, it will fall eventually (took about 2 hours before it fell for me). To stop it from falling, when it’s not in use, angle the shower head so it’s standing perpendicular to the ground rather than at an angle. Less gravitational pull = no falling = happy shower-owner/renter.
