Slap Chop is a very useful tool, it gives you consistent cut especially when you need ingredients in tiny cuts. Very sharp and does get the job done. Only downside is that the way the guard is fitted to the blades, Maybe a rubber guard instead of plastic one as many pieces get in above the guard.. The way it is design to disassemble is pretty neat as it very easy and not to many parts to remove..
Please I need this piece, don’t think this broke right away, I’ve had the slap chop for years, my daughter gave it to me for a present lol, I bought my daughter one a couple of years ago, anyway, used correctly it’s a choppers dream come true, but, Please where can I get this piece, I guess I didn’t put it in tight enough it cracked, now some of the bigger pieces food goes up inside , please help 🙂 Great product, I tell everyone to buy
Although feels light and flimsy this chopper performs well and deserves it’s place in the kitchen. Would rather the collection well was clear plastic and not black so as to see what it is chopping
The Slap Chop does everything the infomercial said it would do. The key thing to remember is that it’s called the Slap Chop, not the Gently Push and Chop. You really need to slap that handle to get the food to come out like in the infomercial.
Food sticks easily to the blades which will make the thing harder to clean. Notice how in the infomercial they show how easy it is to open for cleaning, but doesn’t show the actual cleanup. You can minimize the stuck food by rinsing the Slap Chop in between each ingredient, but cleanup isn’t going to be much of a breeze no matter what.
The biggest downsize of the Slap Chop is that it is too small. You may think that’ll work fine for someone living alone. The problem is that you still need to cut your food into smaller portions that’ll fit the Slap Chop and by the time you’re cutting the food down to size, you’ll rather finish the job manually anyway. I really can’t recommend the Slap Chop to anybody but you will get some use out of it if you disregard my advice and buy it anyway.
I thought the same as all the other 1 star reviewers at first: Useless. Food kept getting stuck between the blades. THEN did I realise I needed to put on the plastic guard before I started chopping, and presto: it works a treat.
