Had high expectations based on reviews and I agree with them. We have a large front drive and garden so it was a multi day job to spray mould buster. The sprayer performed perfectly. The pump function was smooth, good amount of pressure build up and spray is quite wide to make job easier.
Bought for spraying the pavement and have been using it for the garden since then. Easy to use, build quality is pretty decent and the nozzle covers a good area
Easy to fill and pressurise – the instructions are on the bottle – so it’s ready for use in seconds.
After getting the air out of the system, it can make a directable jet to a spray, that becomes wider on adjusting the nozzle, that is more general and with very fine droplets so as to be like a mist.
I used 1.5 litres of dilutes weedkiller and it took two pressurisations to almost completely empty the bottle.
It worked perfectly for edgings around my property.
Went to my local garden centre to buy one of these. At least a third cheaper through Amazon and does exactly what it says in the ad. Perfect for feeding potted plants etc.
I bought this to replace a seemingly identical one I bought from eBay a year ago that became too annoying to use, and the difference is night and day. This one is fantastic. The pressure release valve works nicely. The pump action is smooth. The seal is decent.
I would definitely buy this agai
What a fantastic pump spray bottle, I got it to spray the eco mixture on my plants to combat the whitefly and lava. It works a treat spraying evenly in and under the leaves. Well worth the money. Thank You.
Bought this to spray pesticide and feed into my hedges. Great size and easy to use. However the strap design is poor. It falls on constantly making it drop and hard to carry around garden.
The Spear & Jackson 2LPAPS 2 Litre Pump Action Pressure Sprayer in White/Red is a simple and effective tool for a variety of gardening and household tasks.
First and foremost, the design of this sprayer is user-friendly. The white and red color scheme makes it easy to spot in the garden shed, and the 2-liter capacity strikes a good balance between being lightweight and having enough capacity to get the job done. The pump action is smooth and efficient, requiring minimal effort to build up pressure.
One of the standout features of this sprayer is its versatility. It’s suitable for a range of applications, including applying fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and even for general watering. The adjustable nozzle allows for precise control over the spray pattern, from a fine mist to a more direct stream, making it ideal for various tasks.
The build quality is decent for the price point. While it’s not the most heavy-duty sprayer on the market, it holds up well for occasional use. The plastic construction may not be as durable as metal, but it keeps the sprayer lightweight and corrosion-resistant.
The only minor drawback is the capacity, which might be insufficient for larger gardening projects, but for most household and small garden tasks, it works perfectly.
In conclusion, the Spear & Jackson 2LPAPS 2 Litre Pump Action Pressure Sprayer is a reliable, affordable, and versatile tool for the everyday gardener. It simplifies various tasks and offers good value for the price, making it a worthwhile addition to any gardening toolkit.
Love it. Bought to replace a cheap sprayer. This is great quality and easily adjustable nozzle. Give it 15 pumps and it’s ready to go. Build quality is very good and does exactly what you need it to do. Nice powerful spray pattern.
Well it only arrived yesterday, I have only used it once so difficult to say this soon.but what I can say it seems very good, well built and good quality, at the moment I’m very pleased with it.
I bought 2 of these so I could fill 1 with boiled, cooled water and 1 with rainwater. They’re great products but 1 of them doesn’t mist properly as the pressure is escaping somewhere. I need a new pump/lid.
Tired of buying cheap sprayers I decided to choose from a name I know well. So far it is Pett for the job. If it still works next year, it will have been well worth the money. Time will tell.
Well as you know Spear & Jackson on a product says to me a well made piece of kit no change here great feel to bottle hood pump easy trigger when full not to bad to carry works well quick delivery from Amazo
I used this to wash my car, it hasnt got alot of pressure, but it works and the foam covered the car fully
Worth purchasing if you want to wash cars, water garden and spray chemicals.
As expected a superb sprayer from this leading brand, adjustable spray mode or precise direct spay, and so easy to pump,I have used it for ant spray around my house perimeter, very pleased with this item, would highly recommend.
I have bought several of these types of sprayers over the years for misting cuttings. This one seems better made than others I have bought, materials seem better quality and components fit well together with little play. Worth spending the extra compared to ones from wilko etc
I use this as part of my car cleaning kit, whether to spray of bird droppings or cleaning the car.
I use it with a mixture of car shampoo and water to spray my car and let it soak in prior to a spray with the hose to loosen any debris.
It’s quite good! It sprays quite far and can hold alot of pressure far better than using a spray bottle to do the job.
i used it to add more to the carpet cleaner as it was a bit week, it did the job.
but for all your major sprying jobs this is the one.
Bought this product over a year ago and although it has done me well for the time I’ve had it, unfortunately it’s not suitable for use with any car cleaning products such as APC or TFR.
The pressure was good and the nozzle provided good coverage, unfortunately overtime the metal nozzle began to corrode and clog up, I had to frequently use a pin to free up the hole, until the seals inside failed completely and now I just use it as a measuring jug for my new pump sprayer.
Priced reasonably but sadly build quality isn’t up to the task.
I love it. I’m a window cleaner. I bought the 8l version.
The standard kit is great. Make sure you put the seal on the threaded exit from the tank to the lance. Keep it safe. Without it, the unit loses pressure/air.
I wanted to get a cheap foamer to allow greater dwell time or contact time of the chemicals I use. I therefore modified the internal dispensing tube and experimented a touch to add pressurised air to the uPVC cleaner and water mix. To do that I found about 2 pin size holes sufficient in the internal clear pipe above the waterline. Then I put a small length 1.5 inches long of pipe cleaner about inside the lance also had success with stainless steel wool from a scrubbing pad. More length to create finer foam. Stainless wool first then the pipe cleaner. Experiment…
I used a presta air valve, as cheaper than a schrader valve, to allow me to add air pressure from a compressor. The safety valve activates on mine at around 33psi. I use it at 25 psi generally. I love not pumping to spraying as much. Leave space for the compressed air in the bottle to get greater spray time. 1/2 full is the sweet spot for me.
I got a cheap, circa 26, digital bicycle rechargeable battery pump to give me pressure on the move. I do work on residential properties and find it a good compromise to speed up a pvc clean.
An ionics constant flow unit is currently 450. My setup I estimate cost me around 60 quid tops. I already have a cleaning warehouse chemical dispenser with 1/4 bsp 110 deg sprayer jet as a future upgrade planned but I love spraying with 2 no 50 deg fan jets and instantly agitating the chemical and dirt with my flocked Gardiner brush.
Great with degreaser on eggs.
Tip, if using with a pole setup use rectus 21 connections to allow moving easily between pole and lance. 5mm ID. If making a foamer try get the mixer aka stainless steel wire (or wire pipe cleaner) as close as possible to the standard non foaming nozzle delivery point. It helps to move the cleaner and water unmixed up the hose before mixing and delivering foam in my experiments.
