This is the best garden tool I’ve bought to get dandelions out of the patio and steps. It is also really good as a general weed remover around delicate flowers etc

Yes. At last a Dandelion weeder that gets ’em out and it doesn’t crumple in the process. You won’t get all the ‘tap root’ out if the dandelion has ‘grown tall’, but it does have a good ‘go at it.’ Smaller dandelions… it usually gets the tap-root as well. Well worth the money. But be advised that all these pullers are a bit of ba strain on the olde wrist joints… so go steady and don’t overdo on the Carpal Tunnels.

This is a tough and well-made weed-lifter, but it does require somewhere firm to rest the fulcrum.
I had something growing between a wall and some tarmac, and the weeder worked perfectly, lifting the weed up whole with no palaver. Bouyed by this success, I tried it elsewhere, and that’s where I found the limitations of the weeder. Without a solid surface to rest the fulcrum on, it’s difficult to use the weeder as intended.

Under the correct circumstances, it’s great. But it’s not ideal for all weeding. Recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well, not weedy at all

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHad one of these before and it broke as I found not to over stress them while digging out weeds
The new version is stronger and has better grip but I’m still weary working around weeds and stones

Well constructed stainless steel trowel. I’m hoping the plastic handle will provide greater longevity than the wooden handles of the trowels we’ve gone through recently – ok, they might have lasted longer if I had been more diligent in putting them away after the better half had finished with them, rather than leaving them strewn around the garden….

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery sturdy weeding tool. Far sturdier than others I have bought in the past which ended up breaking. I doubt this would ever break. Also the two prongs are longer than on my previous ones. Worth every penny

Very simple tool that makes a huge difference when getting rid of stubborn weeds, allowing a lot more lifting power than for example with a spade. Very happy with this purchase!

Great colours; easy to spot in the garden! Bought this because I lost my old daisy grubber that was green. Of course a week after getting this new one I came across my old one in the undergrowth. However the Spear & Jackson is much better than the old one, longer prongs and a more comfortable handle. Good value as hopefully it will last for years as I won’t lose it.

This tool makes removing weeds from the lawn so much easier, the whole weed with roots comes up. I cannot believe I hesitated to buy one of these tools for so long! this Spear & Jackson weeder is really well made and the handle is very comfortable. Very pleased with my purchase.

I cannot use this with any effect, but my husband finds it works for him. Probably because has strength in his hands to push weeded down into soil further than I can. I have gone back to long screwdriver!!

I wish I’d bought this weeding device sooner. It’s very intuitive and easy to use, the round bit on the side makes it incredibly easy to lever out the weeds. I’m one very happy customer 🙂

Bit hesitant as to whether or not it would be sturdy enough but I was totally blown away as to its capability of demolishing weeds right down to the roots. Have used this tool on numerous occasions and wish I had known about it sooner! Highly recommend.

This tool is the most efficient gardening tool I have. Say goodbye to dandelions, this tool simply pull them out root and all! Easy to use, sturdy and excellent value. Anyone who weeds must have one!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI only discovered that such a product existed recently and was skeptical of the reviews. However after using it for a few weeks I am converted. Perfect if you want to keep your lawn weed free. The fork goes under the weed and the fulcrum (bulge) helps pull it out with the roots. Still needs you to work on one weed at a time, but much better than anything else out there.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThere’s no doubting the spear and Jackson quality with this tool. Really does feel the part. Initially took a little bit of getting used to as there is a knack with it , but once you know what you are doing it’s fab. Really happy with this but.

I carry two of these on my van for work – they are simply the best type of daisy grubber I have found.

Previous grubbers have always bent very easily and not lasted long at all. These ones last months before the prongs bend (and that is being used daily by a gardening company).

yes they eventually break, but for the price I cannot complain.

Great for short rooted weeds but not so good with the long dandelion roots, although my husband and I use it a lot. So all in all a good buy.

Very well made and great for removing most weeds. I’ve had a bit of difficulty with the bigger weeds. I don’t know whether it’s because the prongs are too large or the fulcrum is too small or both but it is still a very useful piece of equipment.
