I used this only twice, being careful not to go above 2 bar ( 3 bar and above is in the red area)
On my third use, as before I went only slightly above 2 bar and it sprang a leak rendering it useless
As it’s over 30 days from ordering it, I cannot return it
(24th of may 2023 – 26th of June 2023) .
I contacted Spear and Jackson via Amazon and after sharing a couple of emails, they have said they will send me out a replacement, so all in all, I’m happy with this resolutio
Got this to replace existing works great spraying weed killer and with the extensions super comfortable for myself to use 6’2″ and not have to bend down to spray areas properly not shure on longevity but so far its working great the guage is helpful to see if u need to pump it up or not and to stop you over pressuring the containe
I used this to apply wood preserver to some garage shelves and it made the job so much easier than applying with a brush. I was concerned that the nozzle would get blocked but it performed flawlessly and had the job done in no time.
for applying Cuprinol shed paint
Worked very well at first, but nozzle became blocked after a while
after a thorough cleanout I will now use it with a thinner preservative rather than pai
Well if you want all the features, high quality build and long life then maybe not. As a “Garden fence paint sprayer”, I can see why you might have a problem but as a simple, relatively cheap garden sprayer then this is probably the best. Quite well made, well featured and easy to use.
My single criticism is the screw top/pump. I didn’t find it at all clear how to unscrew the top just to fill with product. My first attempt simply removed the pump plunger and handle. Come on S & J, you really should do better than that. So far, it’s doing well for us, otherwise.
I’ve had a Hozelock sprayer for years but it broke. while looking around I saw this one at a much better price than Hozelock and having used it a few times I am really pleased I changed. The lance is brass with an adjustable head. A pressure gauge is included and at 1bar (goes to 3) it sprays constantly for a long period. There are even foldout feet for stability. Overall very happy
unfortunately the handle broke (snapped)
luckily I had a donor handle in the shed .
apart from this I think its a good
product.
lots of pressure build up with very few pumps .
I used mine for water .
Good flow and quantity of water from very few pumps .
It took a bit of getting used to but once I got into a routine, it was excellent. Be generous with the coating, keep the pressure maintained and clean the head frequently to ensure a smooth spray. I did 12 panels (both sides) in a morning.
Glad I purchased this bit of kit which was excellent value for money with an addition of making the task easy!
I liked the sprayer because it was easy to set up and use. 3 bar pressure was more than enough to deliver the spray I needed to cover literally hundreds of square meters of fencing – I have approximately 400 feet in length of fencing around my property and got through nearly 100 litres of wood treatment and this little tool did it really well. The only thing to make sure doesn’t happen is letting any very small object drop into the tank when you fill it. Otherwise, like me you’ll be frustrated as you try to unclog it. Otherwise, the sprayer is back in its ox in my shed waiting for next autumn. I’d happily recommend this product.
Decent product but had to water down Cuprinol for it to spray in any form but still clogs up nozzle all the time and not good nozzle adjustment to get best effort.
Bought to spray Jeyes fluid diluted in water. Performed this task well. However, advertised as able to spray water-based fence paints. Attempted this with Cuprinol but it didn’t work at all. Diluted the paint with water and it spluttered it out. Maybe my paint was bad, not sure. 4 stars as it will be used again when I spray weed killer, and I’ll stick to a brush for painting fences.
