The 250ml water tank was enough to do 1 coat or 2/3 pieces of clothing before needing refilling.
I owned one of these years ago, and always thought about getting another. I’m pleased I finally got round to it, which i did after buying curtains online – this got rid of packing creases with ease. It won’t replace your iron, but it’s perfect for taking on holiday, for a quick steam over creased bedding, or anything which has become creased in the wardrobe. Fine for anything in fact which doesn’t need ‘proper’ ironing. So it’s great for t-shirts, lightweight garments, etc. You’ll be surprised at how often you use it, so I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one.
I clicked in place and the steam came out in puffs!
It is time consuming but I hate ironing with a passion so this is perfect for.
Personally I’d suggest using an iron, this would be better for freshening items not (ironing) them as such.
4 out of 5 stars just on the basis it isn’t as good as an iron.
The steamer is strong and holds a good amount of water to be used for 2-3 shirt uses. The switch on the top allows for increasing the steam level, unlike weaker steamers I have used in the past, which accounts for stronger steaming of clothes such as shirts. I have found the lower setting does a decent job, being more than enough for most clothes. On the other hand, the lowest steam setting is not sufficient for thicker cotton shirts. Switching to the stronger steam level still falls short for such uses as finer visible wrinkles remain. I simply accept a steamer like this cannot deliver enough heat to get the wanted purist finish to formal shirts. For this sake, I warn buyers that this may not replace your iron, there is only so much a steamer can steam out from deeply wrinkled shirts.
I still value this purchase, this steamer is one of the better selections amongst the mass market of steamers. It comes with a brush end, a fairly large tank and a stronger steam switch for general use. I still would avoid ditching the chore of using an iron.
