Bought a cheap one before, it never felt confident & broke after couple months, this one glides through tin lids like butter, gives the impression it’s here to stay. I hope so.
Strong, quite ‘weighty’. Opens all tins very well even the small Tuna tins. We have purchased quite a few over the years and this one is definitely the best one.
We’ve had issues with so many can openers failing or just not opening cans very easily at all. We were so glad to get this and discover that it opens cans like a dream. Thank you.
I dont normally do product reviews but had to for this one. I was recently recommended to buy this can/tin opener from my friend who is a tour caterer. At last a can opener that works, early days yet, but no problems so far, lets hope it stays that way, and it’s not another can opener that gives up after a month or two.
Of all the tin openers I’ve ever bought in my adult life, whether cheap, expensive, battery operated etc, THIS is by far the very best. If you’re tired of your tin opener breaking or stopping working after a few weeks – buy this! Buy it now!
The action is much smoother than any other I’ve owned, helped in part by the superior leverage afforded by the huge turning handle/crank/key (whatever it’s called – you know what I mean).
Even my son, who has the fine motor skills of a hippo & can’t use a knife & fork without disaster striking, was able to access baked beans with this chunky monkey!
It’s also easy to clean by hand thanks to the fact it opens right out and it doesn’t appear to be phased by the dishwasher either.
As an added bonus I discovered last weekend that it also opens bottles (not by itself obviously….it’s good but it’s not magic)
I can’t comment on longevity yet as only had it for 6 months, but so far it’s head & shoulders above any other I’ve had including the OXO Good Grips.
I bought this as a last ditch attempt and it worked flawlessly! It works perfectly with ever other tin type I’ve tried too.
It feels really well made and gives a larger opening area to accommodate for deeper rims and larger cans.
if like me looking for a normal tin opener but whoch can do catering size tins this is perfect to use heavy duty strong and undo the catering tins with ease very impressed after trying lots of different ones
This is the best opener ever. it swings right open so allows easy access to larger cans like fray bentos pies etc. After buying a couple of other brands on amazon which were useless I am so pleased I tried this one.
So far, (after two days of use), this is the can opener of my life. I have never used one so good before – and I may never again.
