We get a lot of extra large tins from a wholesale store and it works brilliantly on those – also on an ordinary, normal sized tin. I haven’t tried it on a really small tin and have the idea it might be a bit cumbersome for that – but also unecessary. I’m very pleased with how it performs.

Love it the best opener I have used, I wasted a lot of money on openers in the past 6 months .Now I’ve found this one, that my arthritic fingers can use with ease. Brillia

Out of all the can openers I’ve bought in the past, manual or electric, this one wins hands down. It feels right and most importantly lt works right. I can see this gadget lasting me forever, it’s so sturdy it unbelievable.

This tin opener with the long crank is great. Tight hold on tin, crank makes very light work of the cutting. Doesn’t drop the tin. Great addition to the kitchen.

This is the umpteenth can opener I have tried and it is the best one by a calendar mile!! So easy to use, really sturdy and absolutely no pain in my hand! If I could give 10/10 I would!

Purchased during first lockdown 2020 for elderly father who has difficulty gripping. He was fine with it, so purchased another for myself in 2021. Both going strong. Really easy to use. Smooth, clean, quick cutting. Best can opener I’ve ever had.

Required a can opener specifically for opening large cans of fruit for charity baking. Could not find any opener able to cope with this task until I came across the Kitchencraft tool. Easy to use,no struggle and extremely reliable. Thanks for this fantastic device.

An amazing can opener was the first reply from my wife opening cans in the kitchen. With ease can is opened and lid removed. I hope this can opener also is a sturdy one, because all others stop working just after a month or two.

I bought one of these last year and find it fantastic. My mother came to stay and used it and asked if I could get her one too. Easy to use, large enough to grip even with stiff and not so mobile hands and so easy to turn and open tins. The only slight downside is that it is quite large to fit in the drawer!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOn my third worn out electrical can opener, but my ageing process making using a normal winged manual can opener difficult, I bought this with hope that it might be an end to the continued need to pay for replacements.
It is what I hoped for, quicker and easier to use than an electric opener – bearing in mind old hands.
It can at times leave a small sharp bit on the inside of a can lid, but I believe the way I place it initially on the can lid and rolling through the end of the cut eliminates this slight problem.
Hopefully my last purchase of a can opener for years.

Very good and easy to use, I would have given five stars but one slight draw back. The handle is longer than the average tin, which means you have to lift the tin to use it. Admittedly, it doesn’t take long, but you certainly can’t use it one-handed

I have had this for several months now and it works really well. Opening a can is really easy with this and literally takes seconds. It is pretty big though and takes up a fair amount of space in the drawer owing to the handle. If you struggle to open cans this is a good one as you simply put it on the can like normal and then wind the handle and thats it. A good buy.

After decades of buying and throwing away useless tin openers at last i find this one, it actually works, the best tin opener i ever bought in over 50 years. A MUST. Better than expensive electric ones. And a must for Fray Bentos pies.

Solved the thumb joint pain. Extra length great for grip and usage, not so handy if you try to put it in with the cutlery…..just keep it with the ladles etc.

Tough enough, and much easier to use for my weakened hands than the butterfly type. Only drawback is the large size, so I hang it with the pots and pans – even though it has no hook or hole for this purpose.

This has got to be one of the best can openers I have ever had.

Well built, so easy to use and reliable.

    Tip.
The cogs can begin to rust if left wet for long periods, so I dry them and then spray with a little cooking oil.

A good solid can opener at last, perhaps difficult to use if you have very small hands but the best can opener we’ve used, having thrown away our last electric one as it was useless.

Not only do’s it open cans in various sizes but has other uses too, which plays an important in the Kitchen or anywhere in the household. It is solid m8 which helps for whatever you want to use it for and the price is just right too.

Due to a long-term arm and shoulder injury cannot open cans with standard UK openers. Ordered this, and the extra leverage provided by the long crank handle now makes it possible!

    Very satisfied custome

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis can opener is not the best I have ever had but it does the job with a few tweaks. As the crank handle is so long, it makes turning it easier, but you have to have it overhanging the worktop so it can move freely, or open the can without it touching the work top which is not good if it falls. The first time I washed it, I did not dry it completely so when I reused it, some sections had a slight rust mark on it so make sure it is totally dry before putting away. Apart from that, it opened the can very smoothly and is sharp so overall, I am happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI can say without a doubt that this is the best tin opener I have ever bought. The long crank handle on it makes it perfect for opening tins as there is no fumbling with it, fighting to get it to turn. The cutting mechanism seems to be very solid and, more importantly, sharp. The construction, and materials, used in this seem to be of a high standard and I have no worries about it breaking even of the biggest tins.

I am considering getting one of these for my mother as she often struggles with regular can openers.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersOk it’s a tin opener. What’s to get excited about. Well, there are actually a few things. Firstly, it actually works! No muss no fuss. It just does it’s job. I’ve opened a regular 400g can and a fray bentos pie. They were both effortless. The lid just pops off no messing about. It’s easy to place on the tin, not like some where if you don’t get it just right you end up going round several times and maybe having to take it off and put it back. This just goes round and opens the tin. Also the handle is very easy to turn which is a nice bonus. I have issues with my hand and regular ti openers cause me pain. Not this one though. The only slight issue I have with this is I have relatively small hands so my hand is open wide when holding both sides together. It’s not a huge deal it just surprised me at how much gap there was. If you have arthritis in your hand and you have a small hand this might be a drawback for you. I would definitely recommend this though. It really is very easy to use and because it opens fully it is very easy to to clean too 🙂

This is the third one that I have bought, one for me, one for my 88 year old dad and now one for my PA/Carer who loved mine. It is excellent and very easy to use. The only down side is it is very large for a cutlery drawer and really could use a loop at the end of the handle to hang the opener up on a utensil wall rack. But overall still worth buying.

Easily the best can opener I’ve ever had! After getting through several versions of the same old type of can opener and despairing at how rubbish they were, I decided there must be something better and this is it! Easy to use, never fails to pierce the can. Can thoroughly recommend!

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersThis can opener only had one thing to do to be a winner for me.
Open the Fray Bentos pie that I’ve had in my cupboard for months. I bought 2 of these pies, because they were on offer, and just because I love them. The can openers that I had in my drawer just couldn’t do it. One just scratched the paint work and another managed to puncture the can, then nothing else. With the first pie can being punctured, I had to find a way to open it or throw it away. It took half and hour with a steak knife and a hammer to get it open, and then I had to fish out the little bits of metal before cooking it. Talk about frustrating.
So anyway, I read a lot of reviews and decided on this can opener. It passed the Fray Bentos pie test with flying colours, it was EASY to open it. If you’re interested, it also opens other cans, beans, soup, etc.
But who cares about that, it opens Fray Bentos pies!
