The instructions could be so much better, for something so simple I spent 10 mins trying to read the tiny letter and figure out the parts. I can’t open the back to change the filter but I’ll see what I can do when the time comes. The first 2 pictures are from a shady spot, the last two (with my cat) are in a sunnier spot. I used a plant pot and a glass bowl inside until I can make it prettier.
Excellent little fountain if anything on occasion with bright sun it is too good and we lose water over the side. You will need a fairly large bird bath or container for it to handle the height the water can get too. Has created a great little water feature outside for us definitely worth paying a little more for this one than some of the cheaper versions
Very pleased with the water fountain. Lots of different attachment which is great for smaller containers. As seen in the video, it works really well in sunshine.
As it’s solar powered, it doesn’t work when there’s no sun as expected.
Very pleased with my little fountain! I had bought another a few years ago but it always stopped working whenever the sun went behind a cloud. Then I saw this blue glass covered one so though I’d give it a try.Today it’s cloudy and just started to rain and my fountain of water is shooting up to around six inches high,not much but very good as it should only works if the sun’s on it! Though just to note it doesn’t always work well on cloudy days.
Very easy to assemble and there are large number of spray spouts to choose from. So far, this solar pump is working well in my pond even on dull grey days. Quite pleased with purchase.
Nice little fountain which shoots the water to a good height – haven’t tried all the nozzles yet. It works when daylight and seems to be very efficient, when sunny it is very busy! It was bubbling at 6 in the morning.
Now, this is my problem NOT the fountains, as our garden is quite exposed the water tends to miss the base because of the drift and runs out very quickly. Now on receptacle no2 to see if a deeper, wider base will help. Good value for money, would look good as part of a group too.
Amazing little gadget. Literally took it out the box and chucked it in my bird bath and it worked straight away. It’s worked every day, but fountain is better when the sun’s shining! Would highly recommend.
Works straight away and fish love swimming next to it. Needs full sun to work at full capacity works with no soon but that’s just a bit of spitting. Very relaxing to watch and listen to.
Great for water play. I wanted to try this solar sprayer. After buying two of the battery powered toy kitchen sink taps that broke after a couple of plays I was reluctant to replace them. This one gives out a decent amount of water even on this slightly overcast day. My one year old and four year old are having a lovely time playing with it. I guess the only drawback is that they keep lifting it out of the water and spraying it in all directions
Looks beautiful in the garden we have a large bird bath in the middle of our lawn it’s magical looks great very Strong works even in clouded sunlight brilliant definitely recommend might be buying another one for my pond
Perfect addition to my little fish pond just adds that little extra something. A little prep before adding to pond but very easily done with step by step easy instructions.
Even when I can’t see it I love the gentle sound but it is pretty to watch in amongst the garden flowers. We managed to lose on part into our mulch and the company kindly sent us a pack of the accessories so we can get it working properly. The birds seem to enjoy the gentle movement of the water too
I have been looking for a solar fountain for my bird bath but found some very cheap looking. The
SZMP fountain is very good quality and works very well. It has a glass top which adds a little weight to it.
There is a chose of spray nozzles. When the sun is out it is very powerful, but of course when it is cloudy not as much – it is a solar lamp after all. I am very pleased with this purchase. I think it is well priced for such a good quality item. Another benefit is that the instruction book is very clear and easy to follow.
The fountain arrived well packaged it was very easy to set up there is a good choice of fountain heads and comes with extra filter foam the fountain works very well in bright sunlight and still works on dull days and helps to aerate the water very pleased with i
I wanted this to keep some movement in my wildlife pond at the allotment – so no mains. I have to clear the filter out regularly as the pond has blanket weed in it, but that isn’t the fountain’s fault and most of the time there is a reasonable movement of water.
We were very impressed with this solar Fountain it was delivered on time. The main points we were impressed with was.
The presentation of the solar Fountain was excellently produced with the instruction Manual and a Thank you card in side and very clear

Brought this to go into the bird bath I purchased from amazon . It looks lovely Well worth the money really as done power in the sola pump. I would definitely recommend it.
Just got this, so it’s quite early to comment on quality (I hope it will last a long time), but I like this little fountain. It’s not expensive and gives me what I was after – sound of running water in my garden to relax. I just wish it was all black (not purple in the middle), but that’s a small detail.

All the different small attachments to change the style of the fountain are great too!! So you don’t have to have a high fountain.
I love the sound of water and I fully expected this to work sometimes but it’s much better than I anticipated so I’m very happy. I’m going to order some for Christmas gifts and I’m going to take one when I go away in my camper as it requires very little depth to work, a small bowl should suffice!
very easy to set up; strong elegant fountain and interesting alternatives. In strong sun light a lot of water was lost through quick evaporation on a stone dish 18″ across so at least 2 refills each day!
Great product, works really well. Easy assembly and even works when it’s cloudy. Different sprinkler effects with interchangeable nozzles. When using the tall fountain effect you may require a sheltered position as when windy it will blow the water out leaving you to top the water level up a couple of times a day.
It started working as soon as I took it into the garden even though it was cloudy. This is the spray without sunshine and the spray is much higher in the sunshine. I love it, now I just need some plants for my birdbath.
I PUT THIS PRODUCT IN MY FOUNTAIN/BIRDBATH ,JUST TO GIVE IT SOME HEIGHT FOR THE BIRDS.. WHEN ITS IN FULL SUN ITS REALLY HIGH ,AND IT GOES ON FOR A FEW HOURS AS LONG AS THERE IS SUN.. CLEANED THE SPONGE/FILTER ONCE AS IT HAD SLOWED RIGHT DOWN…GOOD AS NEW..HAPPY WITH THIS.
Used in a small barrel water feature on the patio. The clear plastic arms keep it away from the edge. A great feature to mininmise water loss from the feature. Some good heads to get the right pattern you want out of the fountain. Works really well, better than the predecessor it replaced. Would definitely recommend
This is such a simple and clever little unit. It worked straight out of the box – just pop your choice of nozzle on and off it goes. It even works with my shadow directly blocking the sun. The straws hold the unit in the centre of my little water feature, and they cut easily to size with kitchen scissors.
Highly recommend!
I bought thos for two reasons –
1. To add a bit of flowing water to the garden
2. To keep the water moving in our children’s water table to keep mozzies from dropping their lavae there
I didn’t have high expectations due to reviews and the price but I thought I’d give it a go. When the fountain arrived the instructions and number of pieces looked a little daunting but assembly was actually really easy – most of the pieces are just different funnels for the fountain.
As soon as you step outside with the fountain you can feel it vibrate as the solar power kicks in. Put it in water and it does its thing pretty well. As you can see from the photos the water gets up over 1 foot high when in the sun, although I’d recommend making sure it is submerged pretty well otherwise it doesn’t always suck up enough water. As there is no battery it doesn’t work well in the shade but it does sometimes act like a fountain but perhaps a quarter of the height when in the sun.
So as a fountain adding a flowing water feature it is a nice addition. Even my wifr – skeptical at first – comments favourably on it. As an anti-mozzie thing, well I don’t expect it to be great St that since the water table is in two parts, but the fountain does go high enough to affect both parts when in the sun – but I don’t think you are reading this for the anti-mozquito properties.
If its windy the fountain tends to blow to one side and do water empties from the birdbath. So i just put the piece in that bubbles up. They do get bunged up eventually but it’s easy to clean and comes with spare filters.
I have one. And I’ve given 2 to friends.
Bought as a present as my sister wanted a water feature but b-i-l didn’t want to dig up the patio to install electrical pump. Absolutely spectacular instant fountain. The plume is quite tall so you’ll need a fairly large pot to put it in or you’ll need to keep refilling the container, especially if it’s windy. Ideal for a pond. Solar powered so practically silent. So brilliant I bought one for myself.
I have a large barrel type water feature and thought it would look nice to have some movement, I was not disappointed, after I assembled it (no probs) I walked into the garden and as I did so the thing started buzzing even though we had thick cloud cover, its a treat to watch, worth every penny. I now have a fountain to keep me amused.
The pump works wonderfully. It can go very high depending on the nozzle and sun. I live in Scotland and it works from sun up to sun down, albeit much less when it’s cloudy. I’ve had it for about a month sitting out there and it’s not broken either.
