Edit: since reading my review the company did reach out and send us a new one so my son is happy he’s got his toy back and it works lol
If they could include a cover for the card reader that is shock proof it would be great as this will help keep the device alive for longer considering how clumsy kids can be.
My son dropped it from his highchair and it stopped recognising cards
Broke way too quickly for a child’s toy. Children are clumsy their toys need to be more robust and be able to withstand a couple drops
Got this for my 2 year old who has delayed speech. It was so easy to use that she could easily sit and put the cards in herself. Comes with an amazing amount of cards with a variety of words.
The cards are flimsy so they can get bent up and creesed but still work. I would have preferred them to be maybe laminated to make them a bit stronger.
Also when you turn it on it’s a bit loud so if your child is sensitive to noise you may want to put your hand over the speaker at the back.
It’s chargeable so no worries on button batteries. I’ve had this a few weeks and not needed to charge it once yet.
Turns off by itself by saying bye bye. After just 30 seconds of not touching it and that’s a little quick if your child is struggling to get the card in. Only minor reasons why I dropped a star but well worth it.
Daughter has progressed so much and so fast with this
I got this for my granddaughter and tbh she figured out how to voice the cards and use then after few playfully sessions.. Its a fun activity as long as u can join in with investing some time and attention to the little ones.. Even you can learn some things too
This is really good toy the range of words on the cards are good only thing I would say my child was a little caught off guard by the voice when it’s turning on and off as ir seems louder and harder to understand
I had personally used these same learning cards in the 1970s. They were invaluable in helping me to speak correctly as I had a speech impediment and I was slow to pick up words as I had bad hearing. These cards are fantastic and it’s great to see them out there on the market now and so cheaply! This is a great little gadget, very tough if dropped and no sharp parts, easy to use – you literally just push the card in and out. The cards are like a thicker style playing card so hard card with a wipeable coating. The charger comes with it and I was impressed at how many word cards come with the device, there are tons! This is SO simple and honestly from my own experience they absolutely DO WORK in helping speak / form words, pronunciation and image=word understanding. Amazing price, 1000% recommend.
The cards look good quality but the gadget look very poorly made. Can’t complain for a tena. Only purchased as I saw allover tiktok but found Amazon cheaper and thought if I didn’t like i would return and the delivery is much quicker than tiktok.
I recently had the pleasure of using a set of educational toys that are perfect for toddlers and preschoolers aged 2-6. Although I can’t reveal that I was a product tester, I can tell you that I was absolutely blown away by this set!
Let me start by saying that this isn’t your run-of-the-mill set of toys. The cards and the card learning machine are developed by professional preschool teachers, so you know they’ve been designed with kids in mind. And, as someone who’s worked with kids for years, I can tell you that these cards are perfect for any little one looking to learn new words and improve their vocabulary.
What I love about this set is the fact that the machine can read words and simulate realistic sounds, which is perfect for stimulating a toddler’s learning interest and speech ability. The 112 double-sided cards cover 12 topics, including shapes, persons, jobs, colours, and animals, so there’s plenty to keep kids interested and engaged.
The design of the cards and the machine is also perfect for little hands. The mini size of the machine and the talking flash cards make it easy for kids to use, and the process of inserting the cards can even help to exercise their hand-eye coordination. Plus, the lack of an electronic screen is a great touch, as it can help to better protect their eyes.
One of my favourite features is the built-in rechargeable battery, which is perfect for parents who are always on the go. The set can be used for up to 4 hours after charging for only 30 minutes, and it automatically shuts down after 3 minutes of inactivity. And, best of all, you don’t need a Wi-Fi connection, so your little one can play and learn on the go without getting bored.
Now, as with any product, there are some potential improvements that could be made. For example, some of the cards can be a bit difficult for younger kids to understand, and there could be more cards included in the set. However, these are minor issues and don’t detract from the overall quality of the set.
In terms of innovative aspects, I think the combination of the card learning machine and the talking flash cards is a brilliant idea. It’s perfect for parents who want to help their kids learn, and it’s also a great resource for teachers and anyone who works with children.
In terms of when this set was useful, I used it to help a young family member who was struggling with speech therapy. The set helped her to improve her vocabulary and was a great resource for her parents to use at home.
Overall, I highly recommend this set to anyone who wants to help their little ones learn and improve their vocabulary. It’s perfect for parents, teachers, and anyone who works with children. I hope this review has been helpful and informative!
This is a great idea but there should be the option to buy additional cards such as alphabet and numbers.
We are using it to teach children after all.
The fact these are missing is annoying as I have to get another one that has the basics.
But, like I said, it’s a great idea. My daughter likes using it. She’s 20 mths and I got it so she could learn words before I teach her to read.
Enjoyable Tool. I bought this talking flash cards for as he is but delayed. It is good a addition to his learning. My daughter who is 17 months old, she picks up things quickly and trying to learn as well. It made education enjoyable. Sound quality is very good. It is rechargeable so that’s handy. We dont need to deal with batteries. I will definitely recommend this.
