I have always had sensitive nipples and abandoned breast feeding with my first son for this reason. A friend recommended these and I genuinely believe they are the sole item that got me through the early cluster feeds. I did t have these shields on day one and two and my nipples were already scanned and bleeding. When I finally started using these shield the scabs just came away gently and my nipples have been flawless. I actually really like the fact that they catch early let down milk, stop fabric sticking to you and protect the shape of the nipple.
Only negative is the size. I think I may have been better off with XL as the shield edge can press into your skin inside a bra, under a baby carrier. It’s not a massive issue though.
I don’t often do reviews, however feel like these little devices have saved my breastfeeding journey. My nipples were so badly cracked. I was covering them in balms which in turn were getting over the babies face when feeding, causing her to slip and the trauma started over in a circle again and again. These cups save you from needing balms etc the healing power is amazing I could feel it working in the first few seconds. I woke the next morning like a new mama 5*
I’d heard about these during pregnancy and I wish I bought them sooner! Didn’t realise you could wear them 1-2weeks before birth and their timeless so can wear them over night and inbetween feeds. After a few hours mine look brand new and so much better/healthier so going to wear them all night and see if I can recover them to try feeding again. Highly recommend!
I’m not sure if the silver did anything to heal the skin however. But they felt great regardless, and I’m sure I’ll use them again in future.
Didn’t really know about these but had been recommended so thought I’d give them a try. Easy and comfortable to wear between feeds and definitely helped ease nipple pain and speed up recovery!
I can’t recommend these enough. I wear them in between feeds and they protect against clothes chafing, promote healing and prevent soreness. Couldn’t live without them and have made my breast feeding journey 10x more bearable!
Excellent purchase and healed my cracked sore nipples over a day. Was dubious at first but so glad I bought them. Will definitely gift to my friends who plan to breastfeed.
Would recommend to anyone who doesn’t want to give up!
I read the reviews and was hoping they would work. I was so desperate to heal my nipples they were so sore. And they did exactly that and I’m completely healed. Recommended to all my friends and will always!
These cups feel so soothing with a drop of breast milk inside and then pop them on. I’ve had zero nipple problems and any potential sores heal quickly from wearing these. I would suggest these to everyone breast feeding without doubt.
These. Are. AMAZING. I’m a midwife of 7 years and had never heard of these until my second baby and a really nasty tongue tie which caused soooo much pain when feeding that I nearly gave up! Considering I fed my first for a year! Within 24 hours my nipples were feeling better! And it helped heal the thrush that inevitably came from having cracked, bleeding nipples! A must have for anyone struggling with pain during breast feeding!
Only con is I find that sometimes milk can collect in the cup and then empty itself if knocked which has caused a couple of outfit changes, but that is worth it anyway for the pain reduction.
Try them!
Tried these as I was in so much pain feeding my newborn and used all the cream in the world, within 2 days the pain and bleeding had completely stopped, and I can now feed without a nipple shield
I am overall really glad I bought these. They were helpful in the early days when my nipples are bleeding and cracked, they helped my nipples recover between feeds and power through when the pain was at its worst. My baby is now 4 weeks and I think my nipples have been “broken in” so to speak! They have stayed healed without the covers and so I’m not using them anymore. They are rather delicate and I dropped mine mul
