So easy to use. I have seen this style occasionally before but never thought about buying one. After watching a video I decided to go ahead and buy one to try. I wish I had made the decision earlier.
Love this tin opener. Just works so well. So far, it has left every tin and lid with perfectly smooth and safe edges. Makes it easier to clean the tins for the recycle bin. I have even started cutting the ring pull lids off, as some ring pulls can be a bit of a struggle.
A Sunday Times article had chefs naming their favourite thing in the kitchen and one of them recommended this type of opener as they had been having too many cuts from sharp can edges. I bought this one because it looks very similar to the one in the article but half the price (I’m a bit of a tightwad!). Does it work? Surprisingly, very well. Place the wheel over the rim of the can with the metal loop flat, turn the handle and you feel it start to bite the edge, keep turning ’til you get right round, turn back half a turn to release. The lid is still on, but hold it and lift, it pops off with half the rim (no sharp edges) and the can has the other half of the rim (no sharp edges). If needed the lid can be replaced if you have some contents to save. A miraculous design, I hope it’s robust. A great buy and easy to use when you know how.
I’ve bought countless tin openers, this 1 so far is the best!!! At 1st you don’t think it has cut through the tin, because it does it so effortlessly. Nice clean edges, very safe
Had this a few weeks and wow really should have bought this years ago, simple and really swift to use, once you’ve finished going all the way round just back it up to release, very good
Bought it at the start of the year as I was regularly consuming Branston Beans (The KING of beans) much to the wife’s protests 🙂
Since then this has languished in its box in the kitchen drawer as the price of tinned goods has rocketed! Used to get a 4pack of Branston for 2, those halcyon days are over people, looking at nearly 4 a pack now, do they think we are made of money…anyway I digress. So last week I cheated on Branston and purchased Aldi value beans they were ok actually. The tin opener effortlessly calved through the metal leaving zero and I mean zero sharp edges. I mean I would feel confident giving this tin to a toddler knowing there is no way they could harm themselves. These should replace ALL other tin openers! It should be law!

I’ve broken a lot of tin openers over the years. This one is nice and simple with extremely clean cuts. I think it’ll be hard to break. Five stars from me.
I don’t normally write reviews as I just buy the product based on other reviews but after having multiple tin openers that have failed so bad that iv had fights with tins and lost, this one on the other hand is like slicing butter with a hot knife, you just place it on the edge of the tin, start turning the handle and it tightens up and starts opening, it’s the king of all tin openers and I’ll be buying another 1 of these if this 1 ever breaks but I can’t see it doin that anytime soon. Highly Recommended
It is the perfect tin opener, for anyone who struggles with their hands, young or old, so simple in design, the long comfortable handle and the larger turny bit makes for a great tin opener, would deffo recommend
A wonderful little gadget. After multiple failures over the years with the basic butterfly tin-can openers, I tried this item.
Opens cans easily. It leaves you with a lid that sits snugly back on the in, with no sharp edges. Convenient for temporary storage till the contents are consumed. Would recommend.
At first I was so confused. But it hardly requires any effort. And opens so easily. Just need some good instructions to come with otherwise once you get the hang of it it’s amazing.
A giant leap forward in can opener design. Probably the best can opener I’ve used. Lid comes off clean and no sharp edges left on lid or tin. The end of the blood in the sink while washing up. Update, so impressed with this can opener I’ve both another one for trips away in the caravan.
This must be the umpteenth tin opener we have had over the last couple of years or so and there is no doubt that this is by far the best- and ironically the cheapest! So easy to use – would definitely recommend!
best tin opener ever! I had to order a tin opener because I couldnt handle the one my husband bought…..I’m glad I got this one – it worked at first attempt and leaves a clean smooth edge, no cutting and hurting there.
the lid then sticks to the opener, it doesn’t drop into the goods, you make a bit of a reverse turn with the opener and only then the lid drops. A very good product!
