Not a bad can opener but not the easiest to line it up to open the can,it was bought for my 82yo mum and found it a bit hit and miss to position so as it would open the ca
At 95 years young my fingers don’t quite work the same anymore, Was very excited to finally delve into my mushy peas. looks sexy on my worktop and works like a charm, looking forward to inviting Eric around for a very well deserved fish and chip supper. Overall great invention, where was this when I had a house full of rambunctious boys wanting their evaporated milk?! Take me and new tin opener back to 1958 and save my fingers!!!
Bought to replace manual can opener, took a few tries to figure it out but once I had it works fine. The bottle opener and knife sharpener are bonuses, although I’d prefer an electric sharpener. Much easier on arthritic hands though.
Easy to use and clean. Handy bottle opener, knife sharpener too which comes in handy! Magnetic feature so you don’t need to hold cans whilst using it! Delivered next day too Great to use so far so good!
My hand operated tin opener failed (it was about the 3rd such opener I’ve bought from Sainsbury’s in recent times – all having failed after only a short working life). Shortly after, on a visit to my sister, I noticed her using an electric tin opener and which, in a demonstration, seemed to make light work of the job. I asked her how she’d had it – couldn’t remember but it seemed like forever.
This was the catalyst of me placing my order – which was delivered very promptly
opens normal tins nicely and holds them until you are ready to remove them. It won’t open fray bentos pie tins. the knife sharpener is just a slot to draw your knife through. It doesn’t rotate like my old one did.
