Love this. It’s very easy to connect with tapo & Alexa. ( I did it) it’s a bright bulb. I highly recommend. No more findings your way in the dark. Excellent. Will be buying more.

These are brilliant!! I don’t know why I haven’t got them sooner.. will definitely be looking to invest in the plugs for certain devices also!
Setting them up was so easy and connecting to my Alexa and was very easy too!
Definitely recommend.. my daughter is now with telling Alexa to turn the lights off

Love this tapo bulb. I bought two. One for my porch and one for a lamp. When you’re out you can turn it on from the app on your phone or have it on a timer or schedule it to turn on and off at desired times.
Would’ve liked an E14 aswell but can’t seem to find one anywhere.
Well worth the money. Easy to set up. Easy app to use.

Found it difficult to connect to the app as the bulb wasn’t discoverable. One out of 2 works, will try the other at a later date.

The one that does work is sometimes slow to work through Alexa but otherwise OK.

I found the light easy to set up, I had a slight problem with a VPN blocking the connection to my WiFi but after that, which was my own fault, it was really easy.

The light goes from being decently bright to a really cozy dim which I find is perfect before going to sleep. And I find the colour to be warm and cozy.

It also has some cool schedule settings which allow you, for example, to turn it on when your alarm goes off. Or to turn on and off whilst you’re on vacation to make it look like someone’s home.

Overall a handy light that I can’t find fault with.

We have numerous smart bulbs and have recently started using these as they are a lot cheaper to buy. They are just as good. Controlled in the Google home app (like our other devices) and work in just the same way. Easy to dim. Will be using these from now on.

The replacement bulb arrived today – now BOTH bulbs work. I can only guess that yesterday there was a problem with the Tapo server that prevented it pairing with the WiFi.
I will keep both bulbs so please charge me for the replacement that you sent today.

    Thanks you!!!

Work well in my outside porch light and I have several other tapo products. Easy to set up routines with Google and Alexa eg – on at dusk 50% brightness and then dim at 1am to 10%. Off at dawn. Set and forge

Not plugged it in yet. Have other tapo products. Bought this for outside light. Only problem is, if someone turns the switch on and off then it drops from WiFi. You have to reset by 5akingbit out. I need steps for outside. Hence the 4 star. Also, if you force adverts at me like other products before I can turn on… Its a 1 star!! When I’m outside, bits pitch black as no lights, I want to turn on the light. Not buy something first!!

Amazon… Please follow delivery instructions and stop saying handed to resident when it’s not or put out the back with a picture of my front door. I live on a busy road. Good area but that means nothing. May lose products and never left where I instruct. Suggest your drivers are super monitored so don’t have time to do what they should? Cost you money with thefts maybe??

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUse this for our porch, can use the app to set a timer for when it comes on and off and adjust brightness – working well so far and would recommend

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little bulb for the porch!

Very easy to set-up and rename with the Tapo app powering on one by one for initial set- up and naming of multiple bulbs. Immediately recognised by Alexa. As mentioned, the have a sudden on/off unlie others which have a dim-to-off or on effect; not an issue for me. Tp Link products also offer good value for money! These have a warm effect as opposed to the harsh ‘daylight white’ and appear true to the 60w equivalent rating as they are not too bright and ideally suited for a sitting room or lounge.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have 3 Tapo cameras and 2 bulbs which I control through the free app. This works well as a standard bulb but the app glitches alot meaning I no longer use the app to control them. I have set them to be less bright than average, on at 40%.

I wanted a solution to a porch light dilemma- wanted it to come on at disk and go off late night – PIR no good as wanted it to stay on. This is a neat and inexpensive solution – easily programmable in the app it comes on at sunset and goes off at midnight. Perfect solution to an issue I’ve had for years.

This is a very good smart bulb, works with my current setup and is very bright and simple install.

My Ring doorbell motion triggers this bulb to come on in the evening in my porch light, this set up is done via Alexa routines and Tapo skills, and on a time window it works perfect, so you don’t have to change your lights outside for ugly sensor ones use your existing setup

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersAs you can understand from the video, I use Alexa in both English and Italian. Setup has been easy and quick following the instructions. I put the smart bulb in a plug that I could previously control with a remote controller (brightness level, timer), and here comes the important part: do NOT use the remote controllers anymore after installing the smart bulb, it may stop getting commands and act weird and at that point you are forced to reset it, remove it from its app+alexa and reinstall it again. Other that that, it perfectly fits its purpose, it’s very handy and has a comfy light color and regulation.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our Usershe bulb itself is great, its bright, fits as should, seems very well made and not too fragile.
however, it doesnt connect to my alexa or even its own app as my wifi runs on the wrong band width, and mine cannot be changed as its a mobile wifi. I have many other smart devices; cameras, plugs, speakers, alarms, doorbells; that are all able to connect to their individual apps as well as be controled via alexa through my wifi, but these bulbs will only work on a certain wifi band. so, in effect its usless to me, though does work as a normal standard lightbulb just not a smart one. but still given it 4 stars as I know had it worked Id have been very happy with the quality etc

Had been using the really cheap chinese units on Amazon (Teckin etc) that use Smart Life / Tuya app and whilst it worked for Google Home/Alexa integration it really lacked the reliability and simplification that you’d hope for when “setting and forgetting”. I can’t tell you how many times I had to factory reset or “reconnect” those units the time I had them.

So I decided it was time to fully make the switch to 1 Smart Home provider and TP-Link was the answer! The app is polished and really easy to use, the units themselves are great and pairing is SO EASY! gone are those weird reset tasks or “reconnect” jobbys.

The bulbs themselves are nicely made, really bright but also go down very low on 1% and are great for a nightlight. I’ve got them for the living room, garden lights & bedroom lamps.

Nicely done :D, don’t hesitate. Bargain.

The lamp itself has good light output, my issue is the app and Alexa integration. It just doesn’t work. All my other lamps work great with smart life and Alexa. I know what I’m doing as well. These lamps are 50/50 as to whether they switch on as requested in the morning and evening. It’s just way, way too unreliable. Will throw away and try some different ones now and this time make sure they are smart life / tuya compatible

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersGreat bulb ordered wrong size for my lights but ended up having the screw top e27 in my living room standing lamp so using it in that and had to order 2 adaptors for bedroom. Nifty app lets you know how much power has been saved and energy used. Programme when you leave the house come home sunset, sunrise brightness from 0-100% like any other site or app that needs login you have to do it but 2 mins and it’s done location and WiFi password is so you can connect it to YOUR own WiFi and not someone else’s Incase your neighbour had the same bulb and you wouldn’t want to there’s off. Bought 2 during prime day for 6 quid each. Was looking for smart bulbs Philips hue far to dear and you need the hub for the rest of the kit with them. This just access the app or ask Alexa to do it for you. Don’t have Alexa so just do it through my phone. Google assistant works aswell but have iPhone and the HomeKit isn’t taking the update for these bulbs
