These are excellent value , lightweight, compact hiking poles , they are collapsible poles that come in a small storage bag , very easy to carry and they will fit into a backpack with ease or fasten to the outside until needed.

They are a lightweight aluminium, Durable, sturdy lightweoght trekking poles that are so easy to set up and to adjust the height to your liking.

The bottom poles fit together, the top two pull out , the second from the top segment pulls out and clicks into position with a metal popper, once clicked into position the top segment can be pulled down to select the height which are marked on the poles so it’s easy to get both poles the same size quickly.

The flick switch opens up easily when setting up , you may have to tighten it a tad with the small dial then flip it back over to lock the pole together once you have adjusted the height of the pole.

It’s actually very simple to do , once you have done it a few times it becomes second nature and you can set the hiking poles up in seconds.

These are comfortable to hold too with lanyards and comfortable soft handles to hold, the poles have rubber feet that can be removed, you don’t get a selection of feet like with other models but they are a simple and effective design.

Overall an excellent quality, good value set of lightweight, compact hiking poles.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight, compact hiking poles , good quality and value

Loved these walking sticks. Two pack.
Fold away nicely, they unfold to then tension connect via a wire. They click into place and hold there.

The sticks have feet at the end which helps for stability.
I love how they fold into a bag for easy storage.

The stick hand moulds feel comfortable, not too soft but not too hard.
Has wrist straps for extra support.

I love the colours too. Mine were dark blue.

Not sure how long the paint will last, I worry they may chip.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great set of walking sticks

These collapsible poles are strong, extremely lightweight, easily assembled, can be tightened and secured and once secured are robust in use and look premium in quality. The handles are comfortable and don’t easily slip, the grip on the base of the pole can be used at angles or straight and holds it position well. They collapse into a small bag about 17 inches long (44cm) and 6.25 inches across (16cm).

They are also easily extended for different heights. These are impressive walking sticks and the price belies the quality. I like these a lot and they will get a lot of use.

5.0 out of 5 stars HIgh Quality, well priced walking poles

I used trekking poles/sticks before but these are my first foldable ones.

I am getting to the age of using trekking poles more and more and being able to have them in a light compact form in my backpack is very welcome.

I have used the poles last weekend to treck up Box Hill (up the steep side) and they were excellent. Very easy to unfold / setup. They felt robust and provided good walking support, being extremely lightweight I nearly forgot I had them in my hands.

Folding them back was simple too, the carry bag supplied with the poles is spacious so they were easy to put back in.

I would recommend to keep a little towel in the carry bag, to wipe the poles after a walk, especially after a wet one (as ours was was). The sticks are very easy to clean too.

Overall very happy with them! My wife wants a pair too now…

This is actually my first set of hiking poles, and I must say I’m super impressed by them and wondering how I ever did without them!!!

I love that unlike other poles which are sold separately, these are sold as a pair, which of course is generally what you need when hiking steep hills/mountains/ etc

The poles are easy to erect and collapse again afterwards when not in use. They are lightweight yet sturdy and easy enough to fold up into your backpack if you want to take them with you on a trip.

The handles have a good grip integrated into the design and thus are comfortable to hold and non slip. The loop handles add extra security when walking.

They also have good grips on the ends of the poles for aiding in traction when moving both uphill and downhill.

I think that they are great value for money and worth investing in if you’re an avid hiker.

I’m surprised by how good these are for the price.

While I wouldn’t usually try to bend one, since I got these to review I thought I better give them a bit of a test.. I can confidently say that despite the cable mechanism holding these together, they are well capable of not bending under normal use.. I tried putting all my weight on a single pole at an angle to see how it hold up and its still absolutely fine. I think the point Id be most concerned about is the small metal pin that holds the very top section open. In normal use I don’t see it being a problem for a long time, but thats the weakest link in the pole once assembled I bet.

The handles are well made, and comfortable to hold, as well as the nylon strap which is much thinner than others I have used, but provides decent holding power without being uncomfortable.

The poles are supplied with a rubber tip covering a fairly sharp, carbide tip, which works well on rocky and icy terrain. They don’t come with any other mud or snow baskets or feet options, but I’m willing to bet they would be compatible with replacements that are available here.

Overall, considering the value nature of the product, I’m very pleased with these.

Trekology do good outdoor gear at affordable prices – and these poles are a winner. I’ve had them out with my hiking this past week and I’m very happy with them.
They’re nice and lightweight at just under 300g per pole and collapse down small into 3 parts. The 3 parts are joined together by a thin length of metal cord running down the centre of the poles. I never used to be a fan of poles that collapsed this way, as I found it added unnecessary weight to the poles. Compared to other hiking poles I have they come in lighter than my Craghopper ones.
They’re comfortable to use – but may not be suitable for shorter people. I’m 5’8″ and I have them at their lowest setting. The height setting is on the upper part of the top section and operates with a simple flip-lock. There is no other part to adjust, so this does make them sit quite high on the lowest setting. I’m used to using poles with 2 adjustable flip-locks on. My only other gripe is that they come without any accessories such as changeable or spare tips and no snow baskets (ideal for use on muddy, boggy ground) I suppose you can purchase these items easily enough separate.
For 28.99 (at the time of purchase) these are a fantastic buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great price for these poles.

Good quality, light-weight, collapsible, trekking poles.

Took for a test hike this weekend and cannot fault them. They are a internal cable locked pole. When collapsed comes as three pieces joined together by the cable with a Velcro strap to hold the three parts together when collapsed. Simply clip the three parts together, then slide the top part of the pole, where the silver metallic ring is, until the the push button latch clicks out. Then adjust the height (approx. 110 cm to 135 cm) and using the quick release lock to lock in place. Nicely engineered: simple to put together and simple to collapse / stow.

When collapsed can be stored in polyurethan bag and comfortable stowed in or on a day bag.

The poles seem very stable. Made from 7075 aluminium alloy they should be durable. The weak spots will be the internal cable particularly the stoppers and the sprung locking button which hold it all together. The grips are nice and comfortable as are the wrist straps.

These hiking poles these seem to be excellent value.

These were great, I did a 1 week trip to Zermat, Switzerland in the Summer, walking every day (8-10 miles medium to hard trails) and relied on these poles. They pack away small but are heavier than the expensive walking poles you can buy, so I’d say if you are a weekend walker, or just go for holidays that include a few longish hikes (~10 miles) then these poles will be what you are after. If, however you are a serious 30km a day through hiker then it probably makes sense to pay more for lighter poles made from exotic materials.

Easy to assemble and adjust, even the wrist strap! Feel up to the job.
HOWEVER: I failed to note that they only come with the rubber tip! Not the mud and snow stops nor the radiused tip. A different version has these for 2 more.
Fortunately we are unlikely to be slogging across marsh or snow so are happy with our purchase.

These trek poles are well made, they are lightweight and easy to extend. Handles are covered with EVA foam so comfortable to hold for long period, they also got straps to keep them in your hands. The poles can be extended easily to suit your needs. They are small enough to be put in a backpack etc for easy carrying. Overall good trekking poles.

These poles are very lightweight. I love the ergonomically shaped handles with the warm to the touch foam which offers a very soft grip and is very comfortable to hold, even for a long time, as is necessary on a trek. There is an instruction leaflet included which I found very helpful, as a novice, in assembling the poles. The bottom two sections find each other all by themselves when the poles are held up by the handles and the other sections are easy to adjust and assemble themselves. I did find quite a lot of effort was needed to pull the section below the handle down fully so the spring clip popped out but that is probably because I am new to this. Once the correct height is achieved, the clip locks the poles in position and even pressing as hard as I could, they did not lose any height and the poles remained firm. The poles collapse very easily and have a hook and loop tie attached to keep the pieces neatly together. They are stored in a lightweight, rain proof pouch. After a couple of goes, I was a dab-hand at assembling and collapsing the poles. I love the dark green metallic finish of the poles. Very stylish. They do only come with one pair of ferrules though and I would have liked a spare set or a selection of different ones. They come packed in a plastic bag and boxed and are very giftable. I actually ordered them for my husband who is struggling with his balance after a stoke and a single walking stick is not enough. He finds these poles really help him to balance and they are so lightweight they don’t throw him off or make his arms ache. That’s good enough for me. I can recommend them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Lightweight and Strong

I like these well-made trekking poles. The handles, covered in EVA foam, are comfortable to hold for longer walks, without making your hands sweat, and the straps keep them attached to your arms if you need to open a gate or stop for a drink.

The poles are easy to extend, and can easily be adjusted to suitable lengths, for myself, my twelve-year-old daughter, and my partner. Being made from aluminium, the poles are lightweight, and because they fold down, to around 38cm in length, they are convenient to attach to your backpack or stow away in your bag when not needed. They also come in a storage bag, I personally won’t be using it as I don’t see the need, but it is nice that it has been included.

Great for all forms of walking/hiking, but are particularly useful for providing extra stability, especially when going downhill, I would recommend these walking poles to any novice, casual, or more seasoned, trekker.

These are a really sturdy trekking sticks. I’ve never owned trekking sticks before so it was a bit difficult to put them together at first – unlike a walking stick which is super easy to build I had to put them manually, but once I got used to it it’s not too bad.

    The trendy looking walking sticks,
I walk most days and I also have problems with my back and legs.

The ability to adjust the length is simple and also they are light.

They can fit into the small rack sack I walk with. So I can quickly use them intermittently on the different levels. I love shade of green as it blends in with the local woods and parks I walk in. The sticks handles are light weight and have a very smooth grip. I can easily adjust the height to my preferred use.

It takes some getting use to walk on a flat level, but my initial use of the sticks going up hills was that they gave me a push forward, whilst taking some of the strain off my back and legs coming down hill.

My arms also benefited the resistance exercise with the use of the stick.

These walking poles by TREKOLOGY are excellent, they are very light in weight whilst being very sturdy. My wife has been troubled by a bad hip got some time now but so far hasn’t needed to use a pole all of the time, these pack down to a small size so we can carry them in a backpack for when it is needed. They are very easy to set up and to ‘break down’, when set up and clamped securely you can have the confidence that they will give you support and assistance when you need it. The handles are very comfortable to hold and you can get a good grip on them. Very happy to recommend these.

It is not difficult to assemble. I like that you can not only adjust the height but the tension as well. The assembled walking pole is sturdy and reassuring. My wife is not waiting for the mountains, with a bad knee, she is already using one of these.

These have just been up Pen Y Fan in Wales and were invaluable throughout the climb up and back down. Very lightweight, and easy to carry when folded away, they are essential for any walkers or hill climbers out there.

You get two walking poles, inside a branded carry case plus instructions, but set up is very easy indeed. To set up, there is a wire rope going through the middle of the poles and the ends simply push together. The top piece/handle section then pushes down until the locking pin pops out and that’s the pole set up. If you need to adjust the height, that is done with the quick release adjuster so you can raise or lower to the height you need.

The handle is an EVA Foam grip which feels very comfortable in your hand. Not to firm and not too soft. There is also a wrist strap/loop on each handle so you don’t accidentally drop them. At the foot end is a rubber foot that can be unscrewed to show a carbide tip which will last a long time.
To put away, you push the pop out pin back in which allows the handle to slide down and releases the tension in the metal wire o the sections pull apart and fold.

Overall a great set of walking poles.

We go for a cross country hike every weekend with our dog. I have knee and back problems so walking poles are a must for me. I normally use telescopic poles but wanted to give these a try to see what they were like. They are super lightweight, much lighter than my others, they fold down to half the length of the telescopic ones, so they fit in my day pack. They are really quick to collapse and to put together. The handles are very comfortable to hold, and the straps are easy to adjust. The carbide tips are excellent and the rubber feet good quality. Adjusting them within the 110cm to 130cm range is quick and easy. The only downside is you can’t lower them right down if you want to use them as a lower stick-on flat ground.

4.0 out of 5 stars Super light weight, fit in my pack.

I’ve already got a set of Trekology walking poles which I’ve owned for many years and done many Munro’s and hills with and I’ve never had a single issue with them. I’m a big fan of the Z design as they are very very quick to deploy and collapse. They are also very stable with no wobble thanks the the great fitting collars where the poles join and the cable is cover with a sheath for protection. Once you’ve set the height of your poles you don’t need to adjust that again when putting the poles up or down, only if you want them at their smallest for storage. They have great, really comfy grips, as are the really adjustable hand straps. Great walking poles.

    TREKOLOGY Walking Poles.
Firstly these are the very first walking poles I have ever used.
I have a few mobility problems but walk a couple miles every day with my dog, when these came up I thought why not give these a try.
They have certainly given me much more confidence on rougher ground and I sort of feel safer, if that makes sense.
While I am no expert on walking poles these are extremely easy to set up and fold back away when you have finished your walk, they feel very strong and feel great in the hand, even with my limited knowledge they are quite obviously very good quality.
Happy to recommend these walking poles.

These are very good walking poles, good quality and fold-able for easy storage, everyone who enjoys a little walk should just have a set of these in the car in case you want or need them.
These arrived in a nice simple brown box, once you open that you slide out a carry bag that is nicely made, with a draw string top to keep the contents safe inside, great if you are using them without the rubber feet as it gives you somewhere to store them.
When you open each pole you get a feel for how light they are, they are not carbon fibre light obviously but still feel very light for a folding pole, the instructions written on the pole aren’t too bad although it did take a few mins to figure out the pull till it clicks bit, you put the three sections together and then pull till the stopper clicks out which tightens the metal cable inside making the pole secure as one and no bits flapping around loose, then you can extend the top section to your desired height as shown in the second to last picture.
The EVA foam grip handle is nice and firm but not hard like plastic would be to hold and the strap to go round your wrist is strong and secure.
It has two different feet options so you can use whichever ones suits the terrain you’re on and they just pop on and off with a small amount of force.
Overall I am really impressed with these poles and at a time when people are doing more walking they are going to be very handy, at 27.99 currently they are very competitive and good quality.

Whilst these hiking poles may look to be mainly geared to the fit and young, those of us (74yr old male) of a certain age (and instability) can benefit from a good pair of lightweight walking poles — particularly for the health recommended “power walking” where possible. The poles come in folded form in their own storage bag together (useful for storage using travel) with a clear instruction leaflet. That was packed in a clear plastic bag in a cardboard delivery box.
Out of the box you need to assemble the poles, insert then pull as in the instructions to lock the lower sections, then finally adjust the final height with a simple and effective flip locking system. For me at 5ft 10″ my comfortable setting is an extension of the upper pole to the 125cm mark.
Not much more to say other that on a test around our local streets they worked well for both balance and using the arms to help propelling oneself along. My particular problems are on slopes and any uneven surface — particularly stepping off curbs ( possible neuropathic damage from even well controlled T2 diabetes) — the poles certainly aid with walking and balance and I hope to try them out on some more challenging areas such as the local Mendip hills

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had a road traffic accident in 2013 and lost part of my hearing which left me with vestibular issues. I had balance problems walking and as I did not want to look “old” by using a walking stick, I used hiking poles for a few months, if not longer.

I stopped for awhile but my balance got poor again and I have tried a variety of other sticks.

I was delighted to try out these poles as they fold which is really helpful for travelling. They are very lightweight and easy to use. The height is adjustable and I love how stylish it looks and amazed also at how lightweight it is.

It feels much more comfortable for me than a walking stick and is very light and comfortable and easy to lean on to for support as well as help while walking with balance.

It has a nice large pouch to store the sticks in and I especially love the wrist handle which ensures it won’t fall down.

If using these in a store, the fact that it folds really helps as that is often the hardest part, ie where and how to place your stick(s) when sitting down.

    I would very happily recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersNot the smallest but a nice packaway size. The poles are comfortable to hold although the foam can be a bit slippery when sweaty and it does also feel as if it would wear quick.

Assembling is easy, once you know how. Took me a bit of time to understand but I think that’s a me problem. Adjusting the height is also easy and the tension of the clamp can be adjusted by hand, out of the box for me, the tension was too loose so I needed to tighten it.

Where this was fell a bit short for me was that there was quite a lot of flex in the pole, admittedly I was testing it and putting more weight than what I would expect but I was surprised to see how much it bent. Under normal loads for me, it works fine but something to bear in mind. The other thing to note was that the rubber foot kept slipping for me on the back (stroke?), to be honest, I think its because I walk funny but thought it might be helpful to know.
