We live on a boat in the Caribbean. Without these fans, we couldn’t sleep at night! They are life-savers and so portable. Battery life is fairly good – they last throughout the night on low power.

After shopping around I landed on this model for when it was super warm in the office this summer. Might even have to take it back in now that someone has cranked up the thermostat.

Really good fan long charge and really powerful, used it for light packing and it slips into a full bag easily. Pretty quiet even on highest setting too can’t fault i

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSomeone at work recommended this to me and I’ve not been disappointed. It’s about the size of an iPad so is portable and lightweight. As it’s USB charged you also don’t need to worry about it being near an electrical socket. There are 3 speeds and I would say quite powerful for the size of it. It also lasts a pretty decent time between charging. I think it advertises to last around 16 hours, I’ve not timed it myself and I’ve managed a couple of nights sleep with it on pretty much on all night between charges.

This is a good little fan. I went back and bought two more, one for my desk at work and one for bedside table. It’s very versatile and keeps its charge well for portable use. Highly recommend and have recommended to friends who have also bought.

As someone who constantly feels hotter than those around, this is an absolute must! It slips easily into my handbag, is very quiet and keeps its charge for hours. On quiz nights, I must be the envy of all those sweaty contestants in our crowded pub! I show it off to everyone and they are all impressed. My son took it to a hot Lisbon hotel recently and he said it much improved his sleep. I strongly recommend this great buy!

This is an excellent little fan, it is powerful and almost silent. I would definitely recommend this fan to anyone. I have it on my bedside table and it has been on all night and is still going at 1.37 pm the next day and still going on the same charge. Very good value for money.

The air conditioning is broken in my office so this is ideal to take in and use. It’s very quiet. Pretty powerful. Several of my colleagues now have one as well.

I love this fan, it’s about the size of a Kindle and very effective. The battery lasts for ages and it’s been a lifesaver on crowded public transport in hot weather.
The noise is not too bad especially at the minimum setting – I’ve been able to sleep with it running.
One flaw is the button on the front – this often gets pressed when the fan’s in my bag, so I’ll open by bag to lovely cooled contents – but of course the battery gets wasted that way.
    Otherwise recommend highly.

Used by a child to keep cool in the classroom, which is in direct sun for most of the afternoon. Previous cheaper versions were too noisy but this one worked a treat, especailly as it stands up by itself. Only needed charging about once a week, with full on use, during each school day. Lightweight & slimline so easily fits into a school bag.

I’ve been using a desk fan at work which was getting a tad noisy as it vibrated the stand/legs on the desk and caught a few eyes from colleagues.

I bought this silent fan and it is absolutely fantastic. It comes with 3 settings which you can cycle through by clicking a button as follows: Off > Low > Med > High.

Low and Med are definitely quieter than High which gives a great blast of air but there is still some noise which is to be expected for the price but still bearable. High was enough to bother my partner a little during the night but Low and Med were fine.

Huge thumbs up for the USB C charging port and it comes with a cable also. Battery lasted me all night (8 hours) by my bedside as I slept on Med settings.

So good I’m looking to buy a second to bring with me during my travels.

Got this for working from home and I take it to work too. Very powerful and lightweight. Easy to carry around and if at home doesn’t always have to be on display due to it folding away nicely. Good battery power. Had it on for most of the day yesterday and didn’t have to recharge. Definitely recommend.

This is great, the fan is powerful on the 2nd and 3rd settings, I’ve used it throughout the summer for 10-15mins at a time and it hasn’t needed charging. I get hot flashes and it has been a lifesaver – and yes I did take it (the dark green one) to the cinema to watch Oppenheimer and it was sooo quiet. A bit pricey compared to other designs but well worth the extra for its design, battery life, quietness and desk appeal (although I hide it in the filing drawer when not in use).

This is a great little fan. I sleep with a powerful tower fan right in my face during the summer and was worried about an upcoming cruise holiday, so ordered this portable one. As predicted the cabin was boiling and this fan was a life saver! It really packs a punch for it’s size, is pretty quiet and the battery lasts all night. It’s also really easy to charge and folds up for easy transportation/storage. And a bargain price too!

I bought this particular portable fan as it was on a good offer, compared to others that looked the same.
As a woman of a certain age, a fan is an essential item. I wanted something small that could sit on my bedside table and that I could pack to take away on holiday.
This little fan has exceeded expectations so far. It’s USB rechargeable, so I don’t have to rely on a socket by my bedside or trailing cables across the room. It also has 3 fan speeds, which are powerful for its small size, yet still remaining pretty quiet, even at the highest setting. The charge easily lasts all night on the lowest setting, which is enough for when it’s close by me.
All in all, very impressed. Would definitely recommend.

I bought one initially for my gran canaria holiday. But I used it way before my holiday. Being nearly 50 with menopause. I would 100 % recommend this fan for hot flushes . Its powerful and cools me down very quickly. It’s that good I bought 3 more for my family. Best buy ever . Small enough to fit in a medium size bag . Very light battery lasts for hours . Charges very quick. Very happy

Having gone through most of the menopause and having tried to find portable fans that I can take anywhere with me that are strong enough to actually cause a breeze, I stumbled upon this when a work colleague had one … the first setting was mediocre but then I realised another 2 increased settings. Works a treat and slimline to fit in my bag, the battery power as well as usb is fabulous, no worries about needing a second fan for portability and another for at home, this one does both. The first fan was coveted by others I ended up buying a total of 4! Sadly the price went up after the first purchase but as it was mid summer and is a god send I will forgive this.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis little portable fan is a life saver in hot, humid weather, and especially with hot flushes. It’s pretty light in weight – I have taken it traveling with me for use in a hotel room with no air conditioning, and I can easily carry it around the house with me when I’m home. Size-wise it’s about the same as a slim hardback book, so it’s not difficult to pack it into luggage either. It’s easy to adjust the angle, so I can put it on my bedside table at home and point it towards my pillow while I sleep, or I can use it on a desk next to my computer, or pop it on a coffee table aimed up towards at me as well.

There’s 3 different speed settings; most of the time I have it on the lowest setting and it delivers plenty of cooling air, but if I wanted too I could have it work even faster. It seems to hold a charge for a very long time; I’ve had it on overnight – so between 6-8 hours, on the lowest setting with no problems, and it still had charge the next day. You can also use it while you’re charging it up, and the fact that it takes USB-C is also useful.

There is a little bit of white noise when the fan is operating. At the lowest setting it’s not a lot of noise, considering the amount of air it moves. I have no problem sleeping through the noise personally, or watching TV with it in the background. If you use the high settings on the fan it is a bit louder.

I’m very happy with this fan, and would have no problem recommending it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersRight so I’m one of those people doesn’t do well in the heat, when it’s warm out I stay in or find to coolest bit of shade I can and in turn I sweat.. a lot, my wife jokes she could ring my pillows out on a morning, after a particularly warm night!

A few years back I forked out for a Dyson Airblade which is fantastic but it sounds like an Harrier Jumpjet doing a vertical take off, gets things a bit too cold on a night, and eats though the electricity!

Needed something smaller and quieter and cheaper to run saw this for under 10 (on a lightening deal) and thought I’d give it a try.

This is fantastic, first it’s rechargeable and will run for the advertised 16 hours before needing to be recharged, costs a few pence to power backup like a mobile phone or other portable device, and can be run off the mains (via usb) or even a power bank!

On low setting if it wasn’t for the amazing cool breeze it provides I wouldn’t know it was on, it’s that quiet! Taking that into account it surprised me just how powerful it was, on full (yes it makes a little more noise, but not that much) it feels like a artic blast (equivalent to the airblade) on low a nice gentle spring breeze.

It has 3 speed settings, but rarely go above the 1st as it’s sufficient, then there are all the other advantages I never thought of like I can take it anywhere with me inside or out, it has such a small footprint that it can sit just about anywhere next to me or even be hung (I’ve folded the base over a coat hanger and hung it from a gazebo frame).

Never knew I needed this in my life, so good that I’m purchasing another at full price for my wife.

I love the design of this. I bought it to take on holiday with me and the flat, compact shape is great for packing. It doesn’t take long to charge and is pretty powerful for something so small!
I trialled it on the lowest setting and it lasted all night no problems.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI suffer terribly in the heat due to chronic genetic disabilities, one of which means I can’t control my body temperature (takes a while to warm up in winter, & despite all my best efforts, I can’t seem to cool down in summer). With our summer temps here in the UK (certainly where I live in East Anglia, anyway) increasing each year, I need all the help I can get in staying cool.
I’ve purchased every hand fan / small table fan going, rarely do they keep their charge over time. I can’t even begin to explain the sheer frustration at a fan losing its charge when you most need it! Not with this fan. On a full charge, this lasts me all night, & although slightly slower, it’s still going well into the morning before I pop it back in charge. Fan noise doesn’t faze me, it’s a necessity so I’ve become used to it, but it’s very quiet on its lowest setting, & although it increases in sound on the 2nd & 3rd speed, it’s completely bearable!
I genuinely love this fan so much, I returned a handheld one which was cheaply made & faulty, & have used the money towards buying another of these, so when my current one is on charge, I’ve got another to keep me going through those awful 30-40C days. And yes, I know you can use it while it’s charging, but I do find plugs & fans overheat, so I’d rather use them on a full charge.
I know money is right across the board at the moment, but if you’re hesitant about this please don’t be. It really is an amazing bit of kit.
Oh, & I disagree with the reviewer who stated we don’t need the USB C cable. Great to know he has lots in abundance, but many of us don’t!

These fans are terrific and do a great job to cool down. I know people (not on here) say that fans are no good as they just throw the hot air out, but I font find that at all, even in this muggy heat this fan is cooling. The only thing I don’t like about it, and this is a personal preference thing, is that it has a push button which means you have to push several times to switch off, I have a nearly identical one on my bedside table which has a knob to turn on and off, and that is what I prefer. So although this fan works great, I’ve only given it four stars as I won’t buy it again, because of the on/off button which I find is a faff.

Arrived quickly, minimal ish packaging. Doesn’t really need a bag inside a box. Also, the instruction card could have been printed on the box, saving more paper / resources. The USB C cable isn’t necessary, it’s just going to get thrown into a draw somewhere. The fan itself is sturdy and well balanced. The stand is adequate and has mounting/ fastening holes at the bottom which is a great idea. The 3 modes are good and the battery life seems to match the description, it also works while charging. It’s silent on the lowest setting at about 20cm away. The middle setting at 30-50cm away is a nice gentle breeze. The high setting while loud isn’t too loud and at 1m away is sill a nice breeze. Overall good/great but would be awesome without the addition materials (bag, instructions & cable with cable tie)

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a delightful little fan. Not completely silent, then again, it is a fan after all, but definitely tolerable. I wouldn’t say it was for sharing, though, as I think it is designed with one person in mind.

I ordered it on Sunday (11 June ’23). I paid 14.44. I received it the next day, Monday and was so pleased with it that I decided to buy one for my daughter. Within only a couple of hours of taking delivery, the price had increased to 17.99. Very naughty. So, for that reason, I decided against repeating the order. I am still pleased I bought it (first time around).

The instructions suggest that at low speed it will run for 16 hours, medium speed 8 hours and maximum speed 4.4 hours. I cannot comment on this, yet, as I am in the process of testing this now. I just needed to quickly get the price increase part in before clicking submit.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt sits on my desk in work, very quietly keeping me cool – on its gentle setting (more than enough most of the time) it’s extremely quiet, and even the strongest setting isn’t loud.

It’s great that you can adjust the angle easily.

Most of the time I leave it plugged into my computer to keep it charged up, but when I need to go to a meeting in another room it’s very easy to just unplug and take my fan with me – as it’s charged up I don’t need to plug it in anywhere, it’s so quiet that it’s not a problem in the meeting, it’s so lightweight and portable I can pop it in my handbag to take it with me, and then I just put it on a desk and turn it on again. An absolute lifesaver in hot weather and/or perimenopause.

*I haven’t tried taking it to church (yet) but I’ve just bought a second one (so I can leave the first one in work) and I reckon it’s quiet enough to deal with a hot flush in a church service too…

I bought this for the wife whilst she was in hospital and she found it very good, since it has been at home I have used it several times and also found it to be good. Don’t get me wrong this is not going to give you a gale force wind to cool you but for the size it does pack a punch. I have run this overnight recently and was still going the following morning. Doesn’t take long to charge but does operate when it is on charge with is a bonus. It would be easy to travel with as it folds flat and therefor doesn’t take a lot of room, type C connector so if you are taking a phone charger anyway then nothing else is required.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersI purchased the TriPole USB Desk Fan on 10 August 2022 and I must say, it has made me the envy of the office. The fan is incredibly portable, with a built-in rechargeable battery that lasts between 4-16 hours, depending on the speed setting. This means that I can take it with me wherever I go and stay cool and comfortable all day long.

The three speed settings are perfect for customising the airflow to my liking. I can have a gentle breeze on the lowest setting, or a strong gust of wind on the highest setting. The fan is also very quiet, so I don’t have to worry about it being a distraction during meetings or calls, I even use it as white noise to fall asleep at night.

One of the things I love about this fan is its 180 rotation feature. I can adjust it to any angle I need, which is great for targeting specific areas or cooling down multiple people at once. The fan also has a sturdy base, so I don’t have to worry about it falling over or tipping. Because of how the base bends you can hang it off stuff in the car or in the workshop. I use it everywhere and even punched a hole through the base so I can hang it off of my backpack when I go hiking.

8 months on and it still works fine. It got a bit of a break over winter but now that spring is rolling in I will begin using it again.

Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase of the TriPole USB Desk Fan. It has exceeded my expectations in terms of portability, battery life, and performance. I would highly recommend this fan to anyone who needs a reliable and convenient way to stay cool during the hot summer months or in confined workshops.

I have just returned from South Africa after a two week holiday staying with friends. SA is mid summer now and it is hot!
Friends have some solar power, so keeping cool is not normally too problematic. However, SA is experiencing something called ‘load shedding’ by the energy company out there. This is a ridiculous title because it’s sounds like they have so much energy that they have to shed it, when actually it’s the other way round – they’re having to share the energy out, causing massive power cuts up to 10 hours daily. Normally not a huge problem but our friends solar equipment broke down too causing the heat to be almost insufferable.
I ordered two of these fans two days before I left for SA and they arrived in time.
These little fans were very good at the side of the bed to keep the face and upper body cool and I have brought mine back for my desk. We also bought the larger sized one when out in SA for the room.
    Very pleased with them.
