Good news is I purchased this to use with a 4K Firestick also using an OTG cable and it works perfect. Now get 290mb/s normal Amazon Ethernet adapter has a max of 100mb/s.
Working like a charm with Nintendo Switch, best value for money, good quality built.
Tried TP link (white one, UE300 model) from my local Curry’s which was about the same price, did not work with NS as aparantly it has to be specific chip that supports NS, this Ugreen one does support.
If you prefer TP link it has to be the black model, UE306. Otherwise will not work with NS.

Could be used with all laptops with USB-A sockets and many desktops if an when the original Ethernet adapter had failed, was intermittent etc. It was easy and quick to disconnect the Ethernet cable from the PC and connect to this after plugging the fly-lead into a free USB socket.
Is now working well.
Simple plug and play into my USB 3 hub after the ethernet port on my laptop started to become intermittent. Great quality and saved my trusty old laptop. Very pleased with this purchase.
I bought a laptop, but didn’t realise until after that it had no ethernet port!!, so bought one of these and hey presto it connects ethernet to USB and works perfectly, plug and play for me. Very happy.
If you need to boost your TV WIFI for internal streaming this is the right piece of kit for you.
Not tested on other devices but would expect the same results, just short of 300 Mb/s but good enough.
It works great! I have one USB port in my Surface Pro and this works great – I now have 4! I’ve been using it for a few months and I’ve had no problems with connectivity.
This worked perfectly for about 4 months, then all of a sudden, I was getting strange keyboard stuttering and slowness, tried several different keyboards, even bought a new USB hub all still the same as a last-ditch attempt, I removed the USB to RJ45 adapter and went to wifi and back working as normal – not sure why this was causing an issue and especially after 4 months of use, really disappointed with this as I’ve had much cheaper ones that have worked for years
I live in a big Victorian house and WiFi always struggles to go through the walls. I hooked this up to my Fire Stick combined with the AuviPal 2-in-1 Micro USB to USB Adapter, and all 3 things work perfectly together.
It is nice looking and plug and play from the second use. Although, when you first plug it you have to install a software and search for a pdf with the steps you have to follow in order to set it up. (macbook experience)
It seems the issue was with the Realtec chipset other brands use, UGreen use an Asix chipset, the AX88179. This seems to have solved the problems I was facing and has worked without fault since I’ve plugged it in.
If you are having issues with your adapter disconnecting be sure the check the chipset of the model you are using!

If you plan on buying two and sharing your ethernet connection make sure you go to properties on the ethernet from pc/laptop to router and tick ” allow network sharing”
I contacted Sharon at Ugreen through Amazon and explained my predicament. She sent me very clear instructions to remedy MY misunderstanding, and Apresto! every thing works perfect NOW.
(1) Connect RH45 to USB and check for flashing lights. (2) in menu window above the time (bottom RHS) press the settings symbol. (3) in the left hand list , press ‘Connect devices’ (4) Scroll up to NETWORK; in the network box select
<..>Ethernet (5) ‘Ethernet Connected’ will appear.
To prove ethernet is connected and WiFi disconnected, go back to menu, and view the connection symbol showing WiFi is off and ethernet is sole connection.

This is easy to install and works very well on all my Windows/Macs with USB-2/3 Ports, although Network Speed is understandably slower on USB-2 than on USB-3. Tried it on my MacBook Pro 15″ with 4 x USB-C ports via my HooToo Shuttle 3.1 Type C Hub, but it wouldn’t work. Ended up purchasing Belkin F2CU040btBLK USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter for that machine, which works perfectly.
It worked perfectly, first time.
The Nintendo Switch was configured as a Wireless connection with 16 Mbps download speed.
I plugged this device into the USB port at the rear of the Nintendo Switch and when I went to set up a wired connection – the Nintendo Switch had already detected it and enabled the wired connection.
I now get 70 Mbps download speed.
This is ideal for anyone who is not techy – as it really is plug and play.

When I tried to use it – it was not a straight forward plug in and play as there is a disc enclosed and as my computer had no disc drive I initially felt it was basically useless. However, Sharon at UGreen was really helpful and guided me to where I could download the same information that was on the disc. Now it is working fine. Good Customer Service from Sharon at UGreen.
