Solid well made, and easily assembled. It is taller than I expected, but that’s good
The stand comes in sections and the bottom ground spikes are 2 pieces – don’t tighten them together until all spikes are fully in the ground.
Very sturdy. I like that the pole screws together with a twist. Lots of hooks and well made feeders with it.
I also bought one for my S-I-L and he loves it so much he’s going to buy another from the amount of wildlife that has used it so far.
I am impressed with the quality of this item. I bought it for the pole and a couple of the hooks, as I could not find one similar without the extra feeding trays and tubes. You can put this together without using all the hooks and bits, but all parts are of good quality. I might find a use for some of the spare parts, and some of them may find a new home with friends or neighbours.
Very pleased with the bird feeder and I’m just about to order a second one quick delivery well packed very easy to assemble and the pronged stand gives it stability only time will tell if it truly rust proof yes I would recommend this produc
The feeder is excellent offering a variety of different foods for birds to choose from and food to follow up after the initial selection is all used up and hui you BBVA’s C B is very
First impressions of this item
Please item was easy to set up and appear to be made from good quality material. Due to the weight. Reese birdfeeder has the possibility to be changed around slightly to meet the needs of your garden as the oldest for bird food can be moved around to fit the order, you would like The birdfeeder altogether with a screaming action when inserting the main road into each other and the main bird feeding units, have like a tap, you turn all them onto the pole
Today was very windy and structure appeared to hold firmly in the ground and also didn’t rock in the wind
Super easy to put together, I’d definitely recommend actually digging it into the ground to make it more sturdy. Plenty of feeding stations which you can adjust easily to wherever you want. I wouldn’t say the colour is full on black but you can’t really tell too much unless you get up close.
Set this up, within half an hour, birds were on it! I’ve been needing to refill twice a day! The night I put it up, we had a really bad storm with super strong winds. It held up perfectly! Make sure to stake it in deep. Great feeder.
It was possible to assemble the bird feeder without any tools which is a plus. I didn’t use all the attachments to keep it simple. It was hard to get it straight and it is slightly wonky. I would have preferred a more stable base.
We were hanging individual bird feeders off branches and we ended up feeding squirrels who not only stole the food but the feeders as well! This feed station with the cone has defeated our squirrels and they have made every attempt to get up the pole. I added to their frustration by also spraying the pole with WD-40 but even without it they could not get beyond the cone.
The squirrels and the pigeons have ended up fighting for bits of feed dropped around the pole.
The bird feeders was a Christmas present for my mum. We have only just set it up due to weather and the ground being too hard. It looks fantastic and sturdy. We are going to cement the spike in just to make sure it doesn’t go anywhere in this great scottish weathe
The feeding station seems to be of good quality, but time will tell! The squirrel baffle is a bit fiddly to assemble, but not overly difficult. When getting the base into the ground it’s important to keep checking that it’s vertical, using a spirit level.
The water bowl and mesh feeder had to be removed as despite our efforts to position them not under the hanging feeders, they very quickly became covered in bird droppings from visiting starlings. We also have various other small birds visiting.
Built and installed in 15 minutes. Put up in quite high winds and copes more than adequately. Birds feeding from the station 15 minutes later. A little pricey but should be worth it in the long run.
Easy to assemble, seems sturdy enough with the five prongs pushed in to the ground. Only disappointment is the seed feeder where the arms are too short and not far enough below the hole so birds can’t feed from it, not even blue tits. Will have to buy a better seed feeder.
I knocked a star off because there was a screw missing out of one of the attachments.
Its the height we’re all after because thats the whole point of the thing, to lift the food as far off the ground as possible so the darn Squirrels don’t wrap themselves around it.
They could all do with another pole but this ones just about adequate ( I could’nt find another one bigger at a reasonable price) although if the Squirrel had a small trampoline it would definitely reach it.
No problems putting together very stable once base inserted in ground firmly.
Have to see how it copes with very strong winds.
Only issue I have is with the large decora8 top hooks. Wish they were further from central pole to allow feeder (if you are using squirrel proof ones) to hang clearer. As I locate the water dish towards the top of pole to try and avoid spilt seeds dropping in.
Very comprehensive station. Don’t think tall enough to hang all the feeders and trays on at once as some would be too low to the ground and too many items confuse the birds I find.
Just have to choose your feeders
Would recommend
I don’t often write reviews but this bird feeding station is really good and good value for the money. (I have used a couple of my own feeders I already had, which has meant I haven’t used the plastic feeders.) It is so easy to set up and place in the ground. This makes it easy to move, making sure the birds stay healthy, as unlike other feeding stations, with the ease of putting it in the ground, it is not always fixed in the same spot.
All this is great but what makes it awesome, the very energetic squirrels haven’t been able to make it to the top of the pole and steal the food, keeping all the food for the birds as intended. Wonderful (and saving money on the amount of bird feed the squirrels had been munching!)
Update (04 Jan 2022) Squirrels have worked it out and are happily munching away at the bird food. They have destroyed two of the feeders supplied with this product. I still love the ease of moving the feeder station, but it is not sadly squirrel proof. 🙁
Easy to assemble , the prong fork that fits in the ground, if you dig it deep, is a good stabiliser, however the poles come in sections that clip in place and once all the poles are erected the joins makes it quite wobbly and unstable so decided to leave off the very top section (which is a shame as has two more hangers and a nice top) but it seems to make it too top heavy. Having said that even though it’s still a bit unbalanced because of the joins, it’s been erected near a decking fence area and have used that in a way for some stability and it stood up to the storm we had recently so quite pleased. The sparrows certainly love it and enjoy feeding from it. Quite good value for money as it came with the feeders, even though haven’t used the top section. I put a saucer in the round seed tray for ease of cleaning.
