Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe only simple way to use very hot water and the various little scourers help remove stubborn dirt . The varios disposable mops will cost a lot and produce a lot of waste ; even if more convenie

Mop and bucket , nothing fancy but works . Handle comes in pieces and head can be replaced with any with same attachment, and can go in the washing machine if you wish.

I have a textured porcelain tiled floor. All my previous mops never left my floor clean clean. The best thing about this is the texture of the mop head where my previous flat mop was unable to get into the grooves, this one does a better job. It washed and dried well too. Happy for this price, just wish the bucket had a bit to stand the mop up to dry.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe mop head itself and the bucket are great and everything you can expect from Vileda, high quality, durable, products which I would highly recommend. The same cannot be said for the mop handle. For a start I don’t like the fact that it is in three sections or that it’s not telescopic (as the previous version was) but most problematic is that it’s less than a year old and it’s already rusting. Not what I expected from Vileda especially since as a family we have supported this company for generations. My mothers mop handle is 20yrs old and isn’t showing the kind of wear that mine is. It also doesn’t seem to want to stay in one piece once assembled.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIf you have a couple of small rooms with hard flooring this is ideal and at the right price. I tried to do this on the ultra cheap for too long and ended up with mop heads that come loose and leave soggy bits all over the floor. This mop head is durable, thick and picks up dirt and grime with no issues. The problem people report with the 3 piece mop is easily solved by first making sure you tighten the parts correctly on assembly (they’re not simple screw-in there is a catch which prevents them from splitting apart on use) and then re-tightening when you dry off the mop, doing this caused me no issue at all. The replacement heads are cheap enough and identical, meaning very durable and will last you a good amount of time with a basic mopping routine.

If you have hard flooring throughout your home you might want to look at one of the more expensive options to ensure it meets your needs but for a couple of rooms in an otherwise carpeted house this does the job as designed.

    Pleased with the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 39 From Our UsersI have stuck to metal buckets and cotton based mops for quite some time. Was surprised how effective this plastic mop and bucket set is. You don’t have to press the mop hard into the spiral wringer to get the mop quite dry. I have a new kitchen floor and it has made floor cleaning quicker and easier.

However, I am only 5ft 4 and the mop handle is actually a bit short, even for me. At this price, you’d hope for an adjustable handle.

UPDATE: I have been using this mop and bucket for well over a year. Contrary to my expectations the wringer hasn’t broken and the mop still cleans better and more easily than with others I have used. When you stand the mop in the wringer and tread on the pedal, the wringer spins round to remove water. To do this without the mop taking off and attacking you you need to hold onto the top of the mop pole which allows the rest of the mop to spin with the wringer. Much to my suprise, inspite of occasionally forgetting and clinging onto the lower part of the mop pole when spinning the wringer, the pedal hasn’t broken. I think this mop has been very well designed and is almost indestructable even with clumsy people like me lol. Still wish the mop pole was a bit taller though.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI wanted to buy a mop that I could actually wring out, not too hard you’d think, ha! judging by the amount of mops I have in storage, this is obviously not the case for me. I am disabled, so not the strongest of people, and I do have difficulty working most systems, but this one was so easy to use, no twisting or turning, just place the mop head in the wringer and press down and the wringer turns as you press and wrings the water out. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to press hard enough, but even I can do it. The mop itself cleans the floor very well, and is easy to use. The first time I used it a put a little white vinegar in with hot water and detergent just to give it a bit of extra cleaning (because I wasn’t happy with the sponge mop cleaning I’d previously done) I checked the floor by wiping a kitchen towel over a heavily used area whilst the floor was still damp and it was perfectly clean – so happy! 🙂 I left the floor to air dry, in the winter I would probably use a dry mop (like Swiffer) to dry the floor a little quicker, but if you live in a well heated house, this probably wouldn’t be a problem anyway. The mop, cleans very well, and wrings out very well, but the floor is still slightly wet, it needs to be so you can clean it, but the moisture is not excessive, and stronger people may be able to wring the mop out even better than me. When finished, I rinsed the mop head well and wrung it out and placed it in the sun to dry ready for the next use. The best mop I have ever used, very happy I bought this, all the others can now go to the charity shop – well the handles and new mops heads can. Excellent design, and easy to use with brilliant results.
