I’ve been using Wahl PowerPik models for donkey’s years! I absolutely adore the comb attachment, which is a hidden treasure not found in other popular brands. But here’s the rub: when you crank up the heat setting to the max, the comb attachment doesn’t play ball. It keeps slipping off, and let me tell you, it’s a right pain in the neck. It really puts a damper on my experience, and I often have to resort to using a scarf to keep it in place.
Other than that snag, the hairdryer is top-notch, and my previous one stuck around for a whopping 9.5 years before I had to get a replacement. Can’t complain about that!
Great dryer great heat etc however the only thing that’s annoying is the comb attachment doesn’t fit properly I have to keep pushing it back on plus it says not to use the highest heat while using the comb but that’s the whole purpose for me buying it. But for the price I guess it’s worth it.
Good price, various settings and a nice long lead. However, the pic comb does fall off during blow drying which can be a nuisance but it does get the job done.
I had a Dyson hairdryer which broke after 18 months. I actually prefer this dryer. It dries my hair faster and it’s smoother afterwards. I won’t spend more than the cost of this dryer ever again. Pay for the name as they say.
I was skeptical of buying this due to the reviews of the comb pik falling out. After buying and using, at first the comb pik was wobbly and falling out but i pushed it further down until it stopped and since then, ive had no issues with it falling off being wobbly, just put a lil extra force and push it down more and it stays in place. it works great and it’s what i needed as my children have thick 4c hair.
The afro pick is perfect alongside this blow dryer. It allowed me to get my hair well and truly blown out with minimal effort and in barely any time at all! For reference, I have 4c hair x
Side note: for best results, ensure your hair is damp and parted well.
Plastic attachment can fall off easily and while drying hair especially if hair is greasy. I’d still recommend it based on price I paid and its features. Hot/cold and though it’s kinda loud I don’t mind because it’s dries fast.
I have afro hair and the comb kept falling off the dryer. Its annoying. This is a design issue. The comb needs to be sturdy on the dryer. I hate using it but I have to dry my hair at the end of the day
