I bought this right after reposing my entire house, and had the plumbing company install it for me. The product itself is great and water quality improved a lot when I tested with my quality checker. Though there are three issues that made me give a 4-star only. First is the the installation is not trivial. It took the plumber 3 hours to figure things out plus the initial flush is confusing. Second is that it is pretty noisy, and there’s really nothing I can do about it. Third is that you cannot use it for fridge water line, and I wish that I knew this before purchasing. Though after all it does the job, and water taste way better than before.
The instructions were super simple, took me 30minutes to install everything and it worked right out of the box. Now I don’t have to deal with kettle for hot water and use other water filtering for drinking water.
Water taste good! just be careful when you are drilling for drain line. and have to wait for a while to whole initial process. I just hope we can use this for a long time with no problems.
Let me tell you about the KJ-600 instant hot water dispenser reverse osmosis system, a true game-changer for anyone who values clean, crisp water and the joy it brings to everyday life.
Imagine sipping on water so pure, it tastes like it’s straight from a mountain spring. That’s exactly what you get with the KJ-600. Thanks to its advanced 5-stage deep filtration, it removes almost all impurities, leaving you with water that’s not just safe, but downright *crispy*.
But it’s not just about purity — it’s about the experience. Picture yourself brewing a cup of tea with water that’s been perfectly heated to your desired temperature, or whipping up a batch of your favorite soup with confidence, knowing that every ingredient will shine with the pure taste of reverse osmosis water.
And let’s talk convenience. With its smart display faucet, you can easily monitor the purification process and adjust the heat settings with just a tap. Plus, features like the child lock (or in my case, a cat lock) and temperature indication ensure peace of mind, so you can enjoy your instant hot water dispenser worry-free.
But perhaps what I love most about the KJ-600 is the sheer pleasure it brings to my daily routine. Whether I’m hydrating after a workout or simply quenching my thirst on a hot day, each sip is a reminder of the simple joys in life — like clean, crisp water that’s always at your fingertips.
So, if you’re ready to elevate your hydration and even cooking game, and experience water like never before, I can’t recommend the KJ-600 instant hot water dispenser reverse osmosis system enough. Trust me, once you try it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.
I really like the look of this under-counter filter system and I find the hot water dispenser feature so convenient. Sadly I paid for it to get hooked up and the unit worked for a few days before the heating element malfunctioned. I contacted the help line and was able to get a new system but it took a long time and lots of emailing back and forth. In addition I had to hire my plumber to unhook the defective unit and put in a new unit. For compensation I got two free filters but now I have to store these.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that this new unit won’t fail after a couple days.
The K6 is very effective; it reduces our TDS by 90%. It does not take up much space and is also easy to install. The following are just from my experience as a lay person and should in no way be taken as recommendations to anyone to do the same:
1. Like many other homes, ours has only two outlets under the kitchen counter, one for the dish washer, the other the disposal, each is required to be on its own power source. Our solution is to use a two-outlet air switch, which, by only sending juice to one of its two outlets at any given moment, satisfies the building code.
2. We decided to put the dish washer and the disposal on the two outlets of the air switch. This is because, if the K6 and the disposal are put on the air switch outlets, every time we use the disposal, the power to the k6 is cut off by design. When the disposal is disconnected and power to the K6 is in turn restored, the K6 interprets it as a hard resetting and does a very energetic flush. We figured too many hard settings might not be good for the health of the K6. Besides, the strong flush would send water splashing up the drain into the sink (unlike the K6’s regular flush after uses, which is very gentle).
3. Regarding how to get cold water/turn off cold water, the Instruction Manual says on Page 9: “Touch the cold water key to get or turn off cold water.” I thought this meant it takes only one touch of the cold water key to get cold water. It turned out, however, (unless one has used the system seconds ago) it takes two touches. At first, I thought there was something wrong with my K6. But further research by watching other K6 owners’ videos has led to the conclusion that two-touch is actually normal: the first touch (of any key) wakes up the system and the second touch (of the cold water key) gets one the water. My confusion was caused by the Instruction Manual which does not mention the need to wake up the system anywhere.
All in all, the K6 is a very nice RO filtration system. I only wish the Instruction Manual may be improved. I highly recommend this system.
This is the only instant hot RO under sink system. Look no further. The water company who installed a whole house softener has their own undersink RO for $1500 but no instant hot feature. They charged me for installing this system, which eventually costed equal to the one that they were recommending. But I have instant hot for coffee, tea, chocolate, etc. The design and look is definitely a head turner.
Love this. Great tasting hot and cold filtered water. Clean elegant design in our kitchen!!! Only issue to be aware of is that older homes don’t always have continuous power under the sink. It’s usually switched for the garbage disposal and if you don’t have 4 lines (neutral, hot, switched and ground) you have to run another line for power. Easy enough but something to be aware of. We absolutely love this unit. The touch interface is great. The temperature control is super easy. Would for sure buy again. Fast delivery of course.
I love having hot water instantly available. It used to take about 40 seconds of water just to start warming up to clean dishes. Now I can have near- boiling water in 2 seconds!
I like that it filters and also heats the water. No more kettles. To get really hot water you need to put the temperature up to 200 degrees which is near the maximum.
The plastic over the faucet should be removed to see the electronic dial. It looks too realistic and looks like the real thing. I was puzzled at first why the dial numbers didn’t come on.
I think that the water from this unit is very good to drink WITHOUT the remineralization filter, but the ‘texture’ of the water is better with. The typical TDS out of the cold water side is about 50. It sometimes drops lower. That number is AFTER the remineralization. Our water smells awful and this by its self makes an RO system a MUST.
I use this system for my sink and generally fill glass bottles with water and refrigerate over night. The water is similar to store purchased “spring adjacent” water. When making instant soup or oatmeal the hot water is handy, but it doesn’t get to the hottest temperatures. The device locks the temperature at “considerably lower” than 203.
Overall I like the way this system works and feel that the water quality difference is superb. The installation was super easy and the videos helped a lot. The hardest part of the install was drilling a hole in a quartz counter. My only other minor issue is that all of my fixtures are matt black and a Waterdrop doesn’t have an option for an all black faucet.
Really like this model. It gets me hot water at my finger tip. It’s easy to setup too. Took me about 1 hour. If you need to cut a hole, it might take a little longer.
Like all asian households, I have a ton of gadgets on my kitchen counter top. A Brita water pitcher, a hot thermos pot to have instant hot water at all time and an electric kettle for boiling water. This awesome Waterdrop WD-KJ600 Reverse Osmosis Instant Hot Water Dispenser System replaces all of that with one clean dispenser and everything else hidden in the cabinet. We installed it in our new home and can’t be happier. Well, our contractor help us set it up so I cannot comment on the ease of install. But setting it up after was a breeze. I let the water run for 10mins as instructed by the manual and viola, instant hot water and water at any set temperature with the ease of a touch. Touch screen buttons are easy to use. My husband commented that the water tastes just like store bought mineral water and was happy to drink water when he usually takes soda.
We were debating whether to get this system or not and I’m so glad we did. Our water tastes very clean and the tds reading really improved. It’s great to have both hot and cold options and the design is beautiful. The system is big, but it fits under our sink well and is definitely worth it!
Such a great solution. It is really as described. Good water flow, instant hot water. Regarding the noise it is not that much and you can hear the sound for seconds.
The only disadvantage is if you want to change the temperature for the hot water you need to wait until the system adjust, it will take couple of minutes.
