There really is no comparison, the E-320 is well thought out and a great grill in so many ways. One example of the quality is the side burner, which has more even heat than most indoor ranges. The built in thermometer is another good feature. The “tub” of the grill is one heavy piece of cast aluminium, easy to clean and will never rust. This is one feature that no grill has in the lower price ranges that I know of.
The LPG regulator is high quality, this is much appreciated. The easiest I have used with Patio Gas.
Rather than give details about what I like, which is just about everything, I will cover the negatives.
The E-320 is very big and tall. This makes it comfortable to use but you need a lot of space.
I got the Weber cover, is very good but expensive. In the past have used generic covers and they are not good.
I had my grill delivered and packing is excellent, the box is big and heavy and it took two to get it out of the van and into the front door.
There is a lot of cardboard and foam to dispose as a consequence of good packing.
Assembly is not difficult as you are putting together sub assemblies, it is an easier assembly than cheap grills which have more parts. You do not need tools other than a good screwdriver, but a second set of hands is required. You cannot assemble the grill solo as the grill “tub” has to be dropped into the trestle.
I prefer cast iron grills to the stock enamel grills, cast iron is easier to clean. There are special editions that feature cast iron grates. I might order these but for the time being the enamel grates are good, they are light weight and clean easily with steel wool.
That is all for the minuses.
The first time I cooked out, I got everything just about right, maybe a little over cooked. This is only possible on the a good grill like a Weber, on lesser grills I struggle to get even cooking. Same with the side burner, very even heat. I use the side burner to pan fry fish or chops, and they came out perfectly.
