This was relatively easy to set up once you follow the instructions, once set up sound quality is fine and I can even stream my music direct .

Didn’t encounter any issues while setting up so I was quite happy with this product.
Construction itself seems ok and no noticeable power draw from the USB.

Easy to set up and connect, and works fine when I restart the vehicle. Only complaint is the price really, Android Auto and Carplay compatible units are common, so hard to justify the extra expenditure if you have both types of phone in your household.

We have wired Apple Carplay/Android Auto in our Peugeot 5008 and this works well, easy to set up and pair both Android/Apple phones and saves plugging them in each time which is great, a simple device which does a very helpful job.

My car does have CarPlay but its wired, I (along with my family) use Android so I know this isn’t the ideal start. What is apparent though is that anyone with an iPhone is likely to be a passenger and I don’t want to have to dig out and manipulate cables all over to accommodate when they want to be in control. Thought I’d give this wireless adapter a go, see how it performs and then I might invest in one for myself too. Its easy enough to connect and in my Range Rover at least it works as expected, CarPlay is found and its ready to use in less than a minute from entering the car. Frees up the phone for charging or whatever else, seems reasonably priced although clearly does only work with CarPlay not Android Auto.

This dongle seamlessly integrates with your vehicle’s technology. Boasting 5GHz WiFi auto-connect, it offers a smooth and convenient experience. However, it’s worth noting that on occasion a slight audio stuttering during playback can be observed, which might require occasional attention for optimal enjoyment. Nonetheless, the adapter remains a valuable accessory for those seeking to enhance their driving experience with the convenience of wireless CarPlay.

I wanted to try this out, as it was a little cheaper than others, and had a good review.

It was easy to set up. It takes no more that a couple of seconds to boot up and it’s ready to select CarPlay. No issues with my car recognising it. So far, there have been no drop outs or connection issues.

Well worth the money if you want to avoid having to plug in your phone all the time.

It does what exactly it says on the tin: Wireless CarPlay Dongle Convert Factory Wired CarPlay to Wireless CarPlay, Compatible for Audi/Porsche/Benz, 5Ghz WiFi Auto-Connect, Support iOS 13+.

The main point is going to wireless hence this is only useful when you have an old wired CarPlay. It’s easy to set up, or recognise and connect straightway – plug and play indeed. Once connected it will be always there and connects automatically every time since.

It’s small and compact, so easy to tuck away and unnoticed. Meanwhile it’s versatile as not picking car models.

Pricewise, comparable to similar products in the market, but you can argue it’s always better to make it cheaper!

So this took about 2 minutes to install into the USB jack where the Apple CarPlay wire normally goes. It does come with a USB-C adapter which is not the best but forget that.

Connect this little device and pair it to the Bluetooth in your phone’s Bluetooth menu and you’re good to go.

My wife has been using this for 5 weeks and it failed once which was a phone issue. Every day, she gets in the car, turns the car on and she has Apple CarPlay with the phone in her bag.

It’s a simple as that. WAZE, Spotify, Podcasts, Maps, Phone, whatsapp – everything works!!!

It is full priced at 70 with 10 off – but I have to say I would have paid 100 for this as is a complete game changer. Once you’ve had wireless CP, you’ll never want to go back. It’s just so easy!

Just do it – you won’t regret this and it’s great quality and super-stable. Recommended

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a complete game changer. Wireless Apple CarPlay in a wired Apple Carplay car!

This neat little dongle works well. So much easier having your iPhone mirrored onto the car screen. More familiar and easier to use than the cars hands free phone. I’m using this CarPlay with an iPhone. I’d usually have to connect via a usb cable for my car to sync with my phone but with this device I can just come and go with my phone without plugging it in. I use hearing aids which my phone auto connects to when I’m on a call. When I get into the car it automatically transfers to the cars phone system. Using car play you do need to finish a call before getting in the car as it’s slower to connect to CarPlay. There was around 15 seconds of awkward “can you hear me” but then it eventually swaps over to the in-car system. I’m using this in a Peugeot 3008 and it work well apart from a delay while it all loads when you first start the car. Cheaper and just as simple and effective as my last dongle.

We ordered this “Wireless CarPlay Adapter” for our son, who has had numerous similar (and much cheaper) devices which either partially work, or simply pack up altogether randomly. This adapter has, so far, performed exactly as it should, with no loss of connection (even on long journeys), so it gets a positive thumbs up from our son, with the only downside being the price (hence four, and not five stars).

If your car supports Apple or Android car play features via a wired USB plug then this clever little dongle may allow you to have wireless CarPlay. I have a 2022 Kia and after a little bit of effort in setting it up, largely due to the abominably poor set up instruction “leaflet” in poorly translated “Chinglish”, I found the devise worked flawlessly. It now will discover my phone and connect to the Airplay features within seconds of the car being started.
As mentioned the dongle plugs into the USB (type A on the device, but an A to C converter is included) socket for your phone, and then you need to enable Airplay on your phone, and connect to a wireless network that the dongle broadcasts initially.
Following this set up process it works superbly, I have used it for music audiobooks and navigation, this has a slight delay which is why it loses a point, (along with the poor setup instructions).

I have found this Oxlaw iPhone CarPlay wireless adapter a good solution to the wired connection. Also, this works hand in hand with my wireless charging.

This CarPlay wireless adapter is connected to my car’s infotainment system via a very short USB cable, this connects using a USB A plug, there is also a USB A to USB C adaptor supplied with the unit, and USB C is now common place on many new vehicles. This has a very short cable, so it’s good the unit is tiny.

Wireless connection to my car’s infotainment system has been seamless, although I do get the very occasional glitch or stutter when running but I’m not sure if that’s down to my system, the wireless adapter or my iPhone 13 mobile phone. The wireless connection to my phone is using the higher 5Ghz band from the wireless adapter, this allows a high data throughput and speed which is needed for the map images.

Overall, if you want to go wireless within the car then this is a good option, although not a particularly cheap option.
I hope you find my review helpful

Unfortunately despite multiple attempts and resets I haven’t been able to get this working in my 2022 MG4.
Initially I got just a black screen take over my system, then it eventually stopped showing this and would connect. However I get no sound, slow loading maps and it refuses to play music. It also doesn’t always recognise it’s connected in the car even though it shows it is on my phone.
If it was to work I would also have liked to see the cable shorter/non existent as it just kind of hangs there and blocks the drinks holders.
Would highly recommend you do check car compatibility as can see from other reviewers with different cars they have had better success, but unfortunately was not to be with mine.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not for mg4s

I use this with my Volkswagen which obviously is quite old enough and doesnt support connectivity with my iphone which was quite annoying but using this product has never been easier to be able to get access to my phone while I am in the car.

To make this work is very simple, I just had to connect it into the usb of my car and then in less than two minutes my phone was connected and something important that I would like to mention is the fact that every time I get in the car I don’t have to manually connect my phone again because it automatically recognizes and I found this to be very practical.

So far since I use it I didn’t experience any lag or problems with the connectivity, also like the fact that the product is black which is barely noticeable inside the car and it also comes with the usb-c adapter just in case for different types of cars so for all these reasons I’m happy with the performance of the product.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works just fine

I bought this after reading an online review. Came third behind two CarPlay adapters a lot more expensive. (9.8/10 score)
Well after plugging in the device into my cars usb port my infotainment system in my mk7 golf recognised it. Upon a little look at the instructions it sprang to life . I know people say these can lag a bit but to be honest I hardly noticed it. I can switch off engine and leave the car . Upon re entering my CarPlay symbol on my iPhone comes up and approximately less than 10 seconds my CarPlay opens on my infotainment system starts . Maps work ( apple , google and Waze) Apple Music plays ( or radio) slick and smooth. And all the steering wheel controls work seamlessly too. If I had to say there is a slight downside, it’s the slight drain on the phones battery life , if you have wireless charging or am able to plug your phone into charge I’d recommend it for longer journeys. Short ones shouldn’t be an issue. But this is nit picking as for the price I’m more than pleased to have wireless CarPlay , it really works. Highly recommended .

I bought this item as my iPhone 14 kept cutting out when connected via the cable to my 2023 Dacia Duster. Apparently this is an Apple issue.
The item was easy to set up (less than a minute) and works as it should.
I leave it connected via the USB permanently and Apple CarPlay kicks in after starting the ignition within 5 seconds every time.
Although a bit expensive it does the job with no need to connect via a cable.

I’ve tried a few (more expensive) Wireless CarPlay devices and I can say this one just works! Once connected via Bluetooth, the wireless connection initiates everytime and works.
No lagging, music and maps work great too.
    Overall, really happy!

Works great in my Peugeot 2008. Occasionally need to navigate away from Carplay and back to it, usually if I get out of the car whilst leaving it running it won’t realise I’m back. But it’s great, no delay and great quality phone calls.

    It actually works!

Just connect to your CarPlay port.

Connect to the Bluetooth and wifi.

    Done.

It actually works quicker than using the iPhone cable.

No lag, music and phone calls sound great.

    Tested on a Mazda 6

I’ve yet to give it a proper road test but it appears to connect and work perfectly. The only thing you have to do is complete the connection via your phones Bluetooth settings.

Great product, compact and small, but would be better to have a more flexible cable, so you can tuck it away somewhere rather than the short stiff cable causing the unit to get in the way of things

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat product, it works surprisingly well. Music, Google Maps, etc. I didn’t notice any lag or slowness.
First time setup took a minute or two, I just needed to connect to it over Bluetooth and wait a half minute.

Unfortunately this is a Chinese product so I assume there’s no quality check or regulated privacy, I wasn’t happy to grant it all the permissions on my phone. There are the usual spelling and grammar mistakes that cheap Chinese things always have. But at least the price is good
