WWE: WrestleMania 38 Blu-Ray [2022]

The 2 night event is back and night one goes off with a bit of a whimper as BOOGS and NAKAMURA battle The USOS for the titles.
It’s ok but BOOGS gets injured and the match ends soon after,disappointing.
DREW MCINTYRE takes on HAPPY CORBIN in what has been a long time building and few really care.
It was a better match than i expected but hardly a classic.
THE MYSTERIOS fight THE MIZ and LOGAN PAUL in a fine but nothing great match,Logan shows he can do some good stuff and gets heat from the crowd but it’s more so the post match that is interesting.
BECKY LYNCH finally defends her title against BIANCA BELAIR and no surprises here but it is a darn good match,well worth checking out.
SETH ROLLINS awaits his opponent and fortunately it is who we wanted and what a match too.
A real back and forth battle,loved it.
RHODA ROUSEY goes for CHARLOTTE’s tite in a very good but disappointing match. It just isn’t the match-up most wanted and it’s all a bit who cares.
STEVE AUSTIN appears on the KEVIN OWENS show for the main event and it quickly becomes an actualy match,Austin actually wrestles after 19 years and he looks great. No holds barred and the action gets pretty wild,it’s a real feel good moment,a great closer to a mostly great night one.
Night 2 is a real mixed bag and starts with champs RKBRO taking on ALPHA ACADEMY and STREET PROFITS in a very good opener which i enjoyed far more than i expected.
BOBBY LASHLEY faces big guy OMOS in what was never going to be a long battle,so it’s short and simply does what it had to,next.
JOHNNY KNOWVILLE has an anything goes encounter with SAMI ZAYN in a barmy brawl that cannot be taken seriously and has really devided opinion,many hated it,many thought it was very entertaining,i surprised myself by soon laughing at the stupid antics of this madness. So it’s just a bit of silly fun but be prepared to hate it.
4 team chaos now for the ladies as QUEEN ZALINA and CARMELLA defend those precious titles against RHEA RIPLEY and LIV MORGAN ,NATALYA and SHAYNA BASZLER and NAOMI and SASHA BANKS.
It’s pretty good stuff for a match i had no initial interest in,it’s fine.
AJ STYLES now wrestles EDGE in what us built as a sure classic but is just too try hard and does not naturally flow,it even drags a bit. This should have been brillaint but it just lacks heart,shame.
To be kind,it’s well wrestled,but that is where my praise ends,
NEW DAY take on SHEAMUS and RIDGE HOLLAND in a very short and waste of time pile of poop.
AUSTIN THEORY fiinally faces PAT MCAFEE in a match i beforehand had no interest in but is actually very good and does a lot in a fairly short time,with PAT really impressing,good stuff.
VINCE MCMAHON decides to have a match at 76 and should not have done,it is awful and is just a vehicle for an Austin Mcmahon nostalgia feel good face off which is not what it was 20 years ago but it’s a bit of fun to see them 2 in the ring again.
But please Vince,never wrestle again
The biggest main event ever as it is being hailed could never match up too the hype with this title unification bout and it really doesn’t.
ROMAN REIGNS battles BROCK LESNAR and it is just another encounter with them pulling out the big moves but it just doesn’t justify the hype and ends too suddenly,possibly due to an injury. It’s good but a let down.
So night one was really great (mostly) and night two was a bit weird with some good moments.
All in all a wrestlemania well worth watching but boy was there some trash among the treasure.
