We needed to aerate our small, soggy lawn. A quality aerator on Amazon came to over 150 which was a bit steep for us. I had a brainwave and thought maybe an apple corer would do the trick. This item works perfectly. Goes into the lawn with ease and pulls out a good plug of soil, press the button and it’s released with ease, we’ve then filled the hole with horticultural sand. Hopefully, we’ll have a better lawn and all for the price of 10, bargain! As for apples, I’m sure it will do a fine job.
Very handy bit of kit. We have apple trees in the garden and managing the fruit without it spoiling means peeling and removing the core from dozens of apples in a short space of time. This corer is perfect for the job. Fsst, effective and efficient. Buy the black one and save money!
Brought one for my mum- she said she has never got on with standard corers due to arthritis in hands and has no power to push down and limited grip.
This has made her life so much easier due to the right angle for handle and she has been suitably impressed. Very little pressure needed she reports.

Only downside, is the mechanism doesn’t close back completely by itself, and you need to pinch it closed the last few mm. Not a massive issue, but does stop it from being perfect IMO.

So I got fed up of coring apples, looked on amazon for a gadget to do this for me. Lo and behold found this. Brilliant does the job and easy to use. Came quickly through prime. Job done. Happy customer.
Simple to use, sharp enough to need almost no force, it punches a neat hole in the centre of an apple, and the core drops out of the jaws. Quick rinse under the tap (does fine in a dishwasher too) and ready to go again.
Won’t bend like cheaper corers, as the metal is thick and the teeth up to the job of boring through.
Would say to keep it out of the reach of children as it is so sharp, but otherwise this is an excellent buy.
