These are great for the price! If you download the app that goes with them you can tweak the EQ which is where these headphones become set a part from the rest at this price. The battery life also great, the one drawback is that switching between devices is not smooth and I find that I have to disconnect and re-discover the headphones every time I want to change it over.
I cannot believe what great value these headphones are. The sound quality, the softness of the ear pads, the build quality, the lovely hard case, and the amazing active noise cancelling are as good as if not better than 200+ headphones (especially Beats), and even better than my prized Skullcandy Crusher Evo!! I cannot believe what you get for your money. And just in case your wondering, no I have not been paid for this review, nor did I get them for free or at a discount. I did just snap them up on a Black Friday deal for 63 though which turned out to be a real bargain!!!!
I have wired and wireless headphones around that do have better sound quality and are clearer than this pair. I bought those just as a spare to have around that I could casually wear around the house or maybe outside occasionally.
Even though they don’t sound as good as other pairs I have, I actually really enjoy the sound of those. At night especially, they’re not harsh or difficult to listen to, don’t give you a headache and are very comfortable. You kind of just put them on and it’s like having music that doesn’t distract you.
I would best describe the sound as laid back with less highs and slightly leaning towards the bass. There isn’t a lot of bass but it does manage to have a little punch to it. I think the ANC works well also in drowning out minimal noises such as PC fans and from out of the window.
Those have a long battery life (70 hours with ANC off) so it’s useful not having to charge those often. The earpads and headband are also very comfortable for wearing for a few hours. I’d forget I’m wearing them sometimes when I’m busy!
I’d recommend those for the price they are, maybe as a back up pair, as they are very good value.
I’ve been using these for two months now mainly for music and these are my impressions. The ANC works well enough and encourages me to keep the volume moderate, which is a very good thing. The max volume is not the loudest but certainly more than sufficient for me. If the source is especially quiet you could boost it with a custom EQ. However, I have found myself genuinely enjoying music at much lower volumes with these, which really is a good habit for anyone who values their hearing. The headset is perfect on my larger than average head, clamping firmly but very comfortably. Controls work fine: I do prefer actual buttons. Battery life is a stated, very long. Build quality is good but I wouldn’t want stress them. The protective case is very much needed, I would say. Time will tell, I suppose.
I’m no audiophile but these sonoflows are the best sounding headphones I’ve personally used. I don’t have the technical jargon but find the sound very enjoyable: smooth and well controlled, not excessive in any direction. I’m really sensitive to harsh or bright trebles and these are completely absent at all volumes which is a joy. I’m sure there are better headphones out there at many times the price, but these are so good that I am happy to save the money, thank you very much. All in all: I’m delighted.
As a disclaimer, I am not an audiophile and this is the first set of expensive, ‘real’ headphones I’ve purchases seeking better sound quality and comfort. Prior to this, I have only ever used the headphones which come free with my phone (yes, really) or very low quality wireless buds. Before purchasing the 1More SonoFlow I owned the JBL 510, and Sony CH520. The JBL were quite poor comfort and longevity wise, and whilst the Sony had great audio and good comfort, I fancied getting something with a bit more ‘oomph’.
I bought these headphones in the black friday sale so keep that in mind too.
Pros:
– Incredibly comfortable, I mean like, seriously, it’s like wearing a cloud on your head. Both the ear cups and headband padding are superb. The headset isn’t heavy but the only thing I could say is, depending on the weather and conditions it may get a bit warm (but not uncomfortable). I have medium sized ears and the whole cup covers me whole ear, there’s no pressing whatsoever but still a decent level of soft clamping (not pressing into your head) – what what’s it’s worth I am a bald man and find these incredibly comfortable on my skin. Also, SUPER IMPORTANT:
These are EXCELLENT headphones if you wear GLASSES. Over head ear phones often cause me pain/discomfort and indents on the sides of my head, not with the 1More. There is no pressure being put against my ears or glasses.
– Look incredibly stylish, great colours! And look great when wearing too. Some headphones in this price range just look awful. Also, the folding hinges is great.
– I have no prior experience with ANC headphones so you will have to look for opinions elsewhere, what I can say is that it does indeed work however there does seem to still be some sound seeping through depending on the environment. I’m not sure what is to be expected so if ANC is very important for you, do some additional research. For this price range the general consensus is the 1More SonoFlow does a good job. [UPDATE 1/12/23]: after using ANC in varied environments I can confirm it is OK at taking the edge off noise around you. You can still hear things but they are a lot more ‘muffled’. I’m not sure if the ANC is a ‘true’ feature or just tacked on at this point, as I can still hear a fair bit of noise.
[UPDATE 05/12/23]: After some time testing out ANC, and corroborating other opinions I’ve read, I can confirm ANC is working as it should. I thought at first it was initially underwhelming or just not working properly, but for the price range it does a good job of muffling lower frequency noises like train/bus sounds. It’s not meant to completely block out sound as I assumed. I don’t tend to use ANC for longer periods, around 15-30 mins max.
– Sound quality is very good, I can evidently see the jump up in quality from my previous headphones. The sound is not knock your socks off amazing on first listen, it’s not flat but somewhat neutral as default, let me explain – the sound is very warm (deep, lower frequency tones) and the higher frequencies are not sharp or distorted. The built in EQ presents do a decent job of diversifying the sound. I think this is a nice default sound tuning which won’t put many people off. [UPDATE 1/12/23]: after some time for my ears to adjust, I can confirm the balancing is quite good as default. The default studio EQ is quite good but I’ve noticed at the lowest volume the treble and higher frequencies seem to clash a bit. But even just putting it up one notch resolves this.
[UPDATE 05/12/23]: After spending more time with the default studio setting, and trying various audio, I can say these are very well tuned headphones. The default sound quality is actually better than I originally realised. Of course it depends on the mastering of the audio you’re listening to, but as standard the signature sound on these headphones is very well balanced. Nothing seems to override anything else, there is no muddying of the lower end frequencies and higher end are not ‘sharp’ or ‘grating’.
– Comes with a case and wired cord! However the connection is 2.5mm to 3.5mm.
– Incredible battery life and fast charging.
Mixed (your mileage may vary on these points):
– The app: yes it’s great to have an app, but the UI/UX design is a bit dated and doesn’t feel fluid, also, the manual equaliser at the time of writing only goes 3db either way, which is a shame as Sony’s app for their headphones seems to offer a greater range of adjustment. Also, as of now it seems you can only save 3 manual EQ presets. On the flip side the actual UI of the equaliser is easy to use and pleasant to look at.
– Build quality. The 1More SonoFlow look gorgeous, and incredibly comfortable, when on your hear they feel firm in place with no wobble (albeit these will NOT be suitable for very physical activity), and the headband adjuster feels solid. The actual materials can feel a bit plasticky, and also the plastic, specifically on the right arm band creaks a little bit with stretch to put the headphones on and off. At first this really bugged me and I kept squeezing the right arm, it felt almost… hollow? or just, creaky. It could just be mine, either way, in practice day to use use it does not become a real bother, and there is no noticeable creaks or noise when on my head or adjusting them.
– UX Sound Interaction: What I mean by this is the sound queues when operating the headphones. When you turn the headset on, it will repeat the battery level twice for some reason, slightly annoying. The start up and shut down jingle is uh, not utterly awful but not very elegant. There’s a jingle when changing the ANC mode, which doesn’t stop what you are listening to but the jingle seems to last about 0.5 seconds too long, feeling a bit intrusive.
– ANC increases the lower end frequencies/bass to help compensate the noise cancellation.
Subjective:
There is very minimal ‘clamping’. As someone with glasses who prefer a looser fit, I am happy with this. If however you have a smaller head/ears, or want to be physical (e.g. running or dynamic gym exercises) these may not be the right headset for you.
– 2.5 – 3.5 wired connection
– When using the headset wired, the frequency response curve seems to change quite significantly on the lower end frequencies. Check out the SoundGuys review for this headset to check graph readings.
Cons:
– The only real cons I can think of is the buttons. They’re actually quite tactile enough and easy to feel, but there’s a few odd things, first is the placement. The power/pause button is located on the right side earphone placed at the front facing forward, but is also positioned quite low. It’s not very natural feeling and I need to fumble a bit before I find it. The ANC button is on the right side facing the back and positioned higher, which my thumb naturally lands on! So, that would’ve been better. I guess 1More really want you to use the ANC features often eh!
The volume up and down buttons are fine and tactile, and there is minimal delay for the presses to register. The only this is, the (-) button long press is the next track button, and the (+) is the previous track button. On most other headsets, it’s quite naturally the other way around. Would be cool if a software update allows us to customise this.
All in all I’m really happy with the 1More Sonoflow, as someone who wanted to get into the world of higher quality headsets, this is unbeatable value for money. There are similar headsets in this price range so be sure to do your research first to compare the most important qualities for you. But I will say these are a very strong contender and once again I am SO happy to have picked 1More in a world of Sony and JBL.
I’ve had these for a few weeks now and I’m very happy with the sound quality for every day listening, the battery life is exceptional. The anc is decent but I’ve not tried any others to compare, they are also very comfortable. If you can get them for less than the 64 I paid which I thought was a fair price then give them a go. They don’t sound as good as my Beyerdynamic DT 770’s but then I didn’t expect them to.
Reasonably priced ANC Headphones, amazing volue for money! So compfortable, light and stylish. The sound quality for this price range is phenomenal. Fine-tuned with the original 1MORE Music phone app it just ticks all the boxes. Comes with a hard shell case and audio cables included also.. cmon give it a go!!
First impressions good. Come folded in nice shell case which is nice and compact for travelling.
Look good, subtle styling, not cheap looking. Pads and headband feels nice and soft.
Simple buttons/controls, feel nice and tactile/clicky without that loud plasticky echo you sometimes get on cheaper headphones when pressing them. Easy to adjust to fit, nice and comfy indeed and still fine after an hours use. Not had them on for a whole day yet though. UPDATE: Used for a few hours straight a couple times now and zero issues with comfort. Your ears might warm up a bit but that’s true for any closed back headphones with a good seal (which btw also means the passive noise isolation is pretty good on it’s own – I mention the ANC later in review)
Connect to phone (Honor 90 Lite) very quickly and easily. Fire up some music and first impressions were excellent. On default (“Studio”) EQ setting the bass is present, clean, well defined, some punch to it when needed in certain genres, not boomy or muddy or leaking into and distorting mids. Mids and treble are clear and defined too without getting shouty or sharp/sibilant. Hats off for the tuning. Very musically engaging for closed back wireless cans 🙂 Mainly tested so far with rock, metal, hiphop, industrial and working well with all genres for me so far. UPDATE: listened to a good chunk of music now including more of the above plus some bluesey stuff, a bit of more main mainstream/pop (older stuff tbf), and so far no genres that I couldn’t happily listen to with these headphones even just leaving on the studio (flat EQ) setting all the time… the EQ from app should sort any issues anyway, and the bass boost eq setting should make bassheads mostly happy too.
Needed the official app to get LDAC codec and EQs. I prefer not needing apps usually but this one seems ok, well laid out and functional.
The app also lets you update firmware (mine were on latest firmware out the box which I’m also pleased to report was factory sealed/wrapped in film so you know you’re not getting a used/returned item – all manufacturers should do this, well done 1MORE! 🙂
The ANC seems to work ok but I don’t like the sound as much with it enabled, and every ANC I’ve tried affects my ears/tinnitus so I usually avoid it. Seems to work at least as well as my old Plantronics BackBeat Pro2s. Pass through works but is quiet unless someone speaking clearly right next to you. But with ANC off these sound great and should provide amazing battery life… 70hours stated… havent played them long enough to test that out but after a few hours of play/testing the app still reporting them as 100%, and speaking of 100%, to finish off my review I’ll say that’s how much I recommend these headphones :))
(UPDATE: probably about 15-20hrs+ on them now and still showing 90% battery so the 70hrs stated seems realistic)
I’d been wearing a pair of Sony headphones for a while, but they’re a little “tight” on my (slightly large) ears, so I wanted to try some for a different feel
These are incredibly comforable, the material on the earcups is not leather, but soft – they get a little sweaty after prolonged periods (5-6 hours+), but I get the same issue with just about every other over-ear headphones (including the Sony ones)
Overall sound profile seems to be balanced, not too bass heavy (which I detest, and why I’d never touch Beats), they can go quite loud – while the noise cancellation isn’t world class (as you’d normally get on Sony or Bose), but it does take the edge off, and pass-through is quick good (although hissy)
The biggest flaw in my opinion is the time taken for the start-up & shut-down, and then you add on the sound for these – turning on overall takes well over 10 seconds, with about 4-5 of that being the tune that means you will lose audio for about 3-4 seconds from your device… slightly frustrating, but you get used to it – turning it off slightly more annoying as there are times that it decides that you don’t really want them off
On a huge positive, the battery life is beyond exceptional – they claim 70 hours, and I’ve never pushed it to that, but I’ve not charged them for over 2 weeks, have used them when I go shopping for a couple of hours at a time, and they still claim to have a “battery high” charge – that’s well over 15-20 hours of usage, and it’s not breaking a sweat
Call quality for the mic is apparently good (from what I’ve heard people tell me), so can’t complain about that
Controls are relatively simplistic, with only 4 buttons – MFC, ANC, + & -, and they’re all simple to use, although the ANC flow has different sounds, so if you get used to them then it’ll be easy to work out what you’re aiming for – not as good as Sony’s “hold to pass-through”, it’s simple enough to step to your selected option
From my view, they’re really good looking, with only a few having a more distinctive look, although some that look “different” I find rather ugly (the latest Bose & Sony ones are stunning, but ones like the new Sennheisers just don’t look good)
Overall, for the price, these things are fantastic, especially if you can get them on sale, although slightly expensive at full price, especially considering they’re not a high-end brand
Writing this review after returning the Sonoflows. Had them for a week, using with an iPhone XR. I’m not an audiophile, just a casual listener.
TL/DR – they are fine, as long as you manage your expectations for a sub – 100 set of noise cancelling headphones, these probably have good enough sound and plenty of features to keep most average users happy, especially if the introductory discount is still in effect (they were 69 with discount when I bought them).

THE GOOD
– Sounded fine in my preferred genres (Hip hop, Grime, Drill), with solid bass without losing mids and highs for the most part. I wasn’t blown away, but I think they are decent and I enjoyed listening to music on them.
– Foldable, light and compact, with an excellent hard travel case included. Would be very good for travel. Overall build quality seems good.
– Huge battery life. I didn’t have these long enough to test the limits but general reviews seem to concur it is good. I believe they be used wired/passively too (a cable is included) if you want to conserve battery.

THE BAD
– Comfort was poor for me. This, along with sound, is very subjective and your mileage may vary. I found these were causing me lots of pain at the base of my jaw. Not sure if it was the clamping force or the way the ear cups sat on my head causing a specific pressure point. Anyway, I found that I had to take them off after about 30 minutes. Maybe this would get better with time, or if you stretched them out for a few days, but I prefer things to be comfortable and work from the get go!
– Volume seems low. These just didn’t seem to get very loud. Don’t know if that was an issue due to my source device or the headphones.
– ANC was disappointing given the amount of hype there was about these and their ANC performance, and they suffered for that in my view. It’s ok, but no better than others I have tried at this price point. You’ll notice a difference when on vs off, but don’t expect miracles! Using them on busy London streets and the Underground network, they removed some low end engine noises, but I still found myself having to increase the volume quite a bit to drown out the other sounds filtering in.
Anyway, hope that helps!
