I was looking for a good affordable monitor to replace my older acer monitor and i also need one that can get at least 165hz and good response time for good clear visuals with no screen blue or tearing and come a cross this monitor also from acer. So i did some google research and read verious coments on this monitor alot of good coments and a few not so good but only a few that i found but you can not please every one and some one will always find somthing to moan about its human nature. so i decided to buy this monitor and to tell you the truth i am glad i did. It arrived well packed and no signs of damage to the exterior box, once opend the monitor was nice and snug in its polystyrene rapping no damage at all. unpacked the monitor attached the stand which is very easy to do and quite sturdy when in place, once the monitor was on and the pc booted up i was greeted with a vibrant coulor enriched screen which rearly did not need any tinkering with straight out the box but if its not to ur likeing you can callabraite with softwear but honestly no need to.
lets jump to some specks
1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution with a 165 Hz refresh rate (but will only reach 144hz with when useing HDMI port) which is still good enough
2 ms response time
1000:1 static contrast ratio and a 250 cd/m brightness.

Change how you see your games with HDR 10 support.
Over all i am very pleased with this monitor yes it might not be as good assome of 250 to 300 monitors out there but for this price tag belive me its not that far behind and well worth the money and would i buy a second one for a two screen set up Yes i would .
P.S i am glad acer has sorted the problem with their old monitors were they would power down and you had to remove the power cable and then reinsert it to get the screen back up. 😉
Bought this during Summer Prime Day and it was a really good deal! I love that it has speakers, so I can connect my samsung dex on it and watch videos.
No dead pixels, no damage, easy to assembly, everything is good. It’s on the lightweight side, so other people might find it wobbly if yiu nudge it, but it’s a minor thing for me.
My only concern were the sticky tapes around the perimeter of the monitor. I guess it was there to protect the edges, however, removing them can give anyone a heart attack. The tape is not the kind to leave adhesive on the surface, but it’s just very sticky that it pulls the surface of the screen with it. All good in the end, no damage was made when I removed the tape.
Having sifted through numerous reviews about VA panels, I was half-expecting to return this monitor due to potential quality concerns. To my delight, the Acer Nitro’s VA panel showcased impressive clarity and top-tier quality. Admittedly, the build does give off a somewhat lightweight and inexpensive feel. However, its lightness proved advantageous for my specific mounting setup. I would definitely consider buying this monitor again.
Got this on Prime day and it is an insane deal. I have a Samsung G7 and this doesn’t have as good colours but still good enough and insane value for around 200. Might buy it again for a triple setup.
The monitor is good, and the picture quality is great, I actually really like it, I use it with both my PC and PS5 for gaming and consuming content.
the only thing is that the speaker is very low like my laptop speaker is louder other than that I recommend it!
Live this new monitor coming from a 1080p and now having a 1440p it’s night and day difference.
Easy to use and setup and amazing picture quality.
Only downside was there is no DP wire only a HDMI but other than that I have no complaints very happy
I bought this and so far have been blown away with it. I’m moving from a HD TV 60hz so not hard to be impressed with a proper monitor for gaming but after I purchased it I started to check reviews and details for setting it up and was panicking when people where saying that it won’t do 1440p at 120hz. This was part of the reason I went for this monitor over others.
People where saying you need a hdmi 2.1 port on the monitor or a hdmi to DP active adapter. In a panic I ordered one before the monitor even came. It arrives today but as it turns out I don’t need it. If you look at the pictures there is a setting in the display that allows you to show the FPS on the screen. I play COD alot so while looking in the games display settings you can turn on the 120hz refresh and it came up over hdmi. This might be game specific but it definitely works and I am so happy with the monitor. I’m sure there are more expensive ones with better features but for anyone looking to move from TV to monitor without breaking the bank this is excellent.
I’m reviewing the Acer Nitro QHD 27″ monitor. After some worrying reviews, I was very hesitant to buy this but all the specs where what I wanted so I bought it and I don’t regret it. I’ve gone from 1080p from my Samsung TV to 1440 and you can definitely see the difference in detail. I bought this for the PS5 and was worried about not getting 120hz (with the compatible games) but it does both 60 and 120. The only 2 negatives are that the speakers are poor quality (I recommend buying a speaker bar) and there’s no VRR (for the PS5) Other than that, It’s a great quality monitor for the price.
Bought this monitor after breaking my last one and out of the box it had multiple dead pixels present.
Additionally, when on high contrast images some of the pixels flicker white which is very distracting. The monitor also will go black at random times for a couple of seconds which when you are using it for gaming where you need to be able to see everything at all times this is not ideal.
The colouring also seemed very washed out and dull and the included HDMI cable is very short so I had to use a longer one after mounting it onto a adjustable stand.
Cannot really recommend this monitor if you are looking to use it for high level/competitive gaming however the refresh rate is nice at least 🙂
If your tight on money and need a monitor to run 120fps or more definitely buy,but if you can afford another of find another don’t get this one. It only runs 165hz and that’s it NOTHING ELSE
This is a good quality, high refresh rate monitor. It works well with my daughter’s Xbox Series X. The colours are good and it was a nice surprise to find that it has a basic speaker in it.
I’ve mounted this on our existing wall mount, which has 10cm vesa mount spacing on the back. Disappointingly, there are no screws included, so you’ll need to find your own.
This is reasonably easy to use, however the buttons take a little time to get used to, including the main menu. The instruction booklet has no explaanation of how to use it and the buttons aren’t marked up on the side as to what they do. I gather 2 can be preset with different functions. There aren’t even any details online as to the functions. I believe I’ve figured it out, however some settings don’t say what they actually are.
Overall, this is good. It would be 5 stars if there were proper instructions included.
I was.worried about getting this due to comflciting reviews of good colour or washed out, slow refresh rate and honestly those bad reviews must be where this seller made a mistake.
This has amazing colour quality (didnt even have to mess around in setting to balance the colour or brightness), refresh rate is 165hz, perfect size for gaming and is able to tilt for comfort although it says that in the descriptiom but not special feautres or the title. Honestly amazing.
I have used this as my main monitor now for a few months, both for gaming and for work and I have been very happy with it. It has built in speakers… As with most they are a bit quiet and don’t have much bottom end so I only use them in an emergency. Colour balance and depth seems good for the price I paid. I haven’t seen anything cheaper new with the display port which I needed for my work dock. Also has HDMI and a jack for headphones but I have not tested with those.
Complex to review I’ll list some things
Disclaimer first then the review after
So when the gaming monitor arrived amazon decided to put there own amazon box as packaging to protect the gameing monitor box < and the amazon box had a big hole in < and now I understand why some reviews say it arrived broken but luckily once I removed the thin amazon packaging the gaming monitor box was not damaged inside < but because I was panicked by the amazon box condition I decided to hook up the monitor to a sky TV box to test the monitor to see if it works < I've also hooked it up to a digital xbox 1 also now Review < so the monitor is well packaged inside its own box < inside the box you get the monitor the power cable hdmi cables and a Manuel book and a warranty Setting up the monitor is really straight forward just plug and play On the back of the monitor in the photos provided you can see the hdmi ports and the power port and the audio jack on the monitor on the back right side of the monitor are the buttons to turn on and off the monitor and the other buttons allow you to change the settings of the monitor < for example you can select 6 pre settings such as gaming or sports and so on < you can also change them manually by the sliders in the settings by using the buttons on the back of the monitor < and the very bottom button is like a joystick button so you can move up down left right and select The gaming monitor also has built in speakers and they do actually sound good Now the down side im unsure about which might be bad ? So in the photos provided you can see I was using tv on the gaming monitor < the first thing I noticed is that the image didn't look right as if it was dull in areas < even with max brightness or even when I chose diffrent pre settings like sports for example And then I though I'll download a sky movie on the highest quality perhaps that will improve the image And it did but then I exsperianced a unusual issue < so on max quality download there was 0 sound for no reason so I came off the movie men in black 3 and tryed resident evil max quality < same issue ... so then I downloaded it in standard quality and sound worked ??? Now I know it's not my sky TV box because on max quality there's sound on my Samsung smart tv so my guess it's the monitor itself perhaps ? And then the other issue < so I connected the monitor to my digital xbox 1 < managed to get every single setting for xbox for the monitor < but it would only let me choose 2 options < 1 was 120hz 1080p hdr ? and then the other was 4k ? But you could only choose 1 of the 2 ? I don't know if that's normal ? Or if xbox only does 120hz ? The other thing I noticed on 120hz 1080p is that I noticed some games would try and blur certain things you where looking at for example the ground in 7 days to die it isn't a bad bad blur but it's just strange because it wasn't like that on a normal TV it was clear and normal and looked right? Besides that I noticed on xbox you tube in the highest quality videos < some odd things < it's almost like occasionally the monitor wants to change what you're seeing < for example a male arm with hair on it instead of seeing the hair strands it almost combines them making a strange effect shape lol < it's hard to explain it < it dosent happen all the time just occasionally but I don't understand why But the image quality looks really good on max you tube video settings Ahhh this isnt anything majour but it is a shame that the monitor dosent come with a remote < the reason why I say this is because you have to go into settings to change the volume level which is a little bit of a hassel Besides everything I've mentioned < the monitor isn't badly priced for the 27 inch so I am happy and I haven't had any other issues besides what I've mentioned and perhaps the issues I've exsperianced is due to me not having the settings quite right but who knows?
