This is good for a desktop. Literally next to your computer as it doesn’t give out air any further than that. But used next to me on my desk it is really good. The cool air is definitely better than the normal desk top fan I had. I bought it when it was on sale, otherwise I would say it is quite expensive for what it is.
Because I knew the heatwave would be over soon, this thing was helpful. It’s also really portable so if you travel around it will come in handy. But not as a long-term solutio
I didn’t expect much from this for the price but it really does work! It doesn’t work as well cooling down a big room but in a small space it works great. I’ve used it on my desk whilst working from home and as it’s portable I even used it in a very hot train carriage yesterday which made the journey much more bearable!
UPDATE, so the water droplets I am guessing are condensation drops, there is no real leak causing a puddled pool at base. Phew!
This tiny portable unit is amazing, and I would recommend for you to buy. However, it will not cool a room as would properly installed air conditioning, or a much larger cooling unit (one where you hang the tube through a window). For the price, it is a must have. Unfortunately those ridiculously high temps have past, but it still has a place in low 20’s. Oh, and ice does help, but is short lived in high temps.

Hmm, seemed to start off great with cold water in the tank. Then just started leaking. Would like to know why please? 2 stars until I know this is more of a science thing, rather than faulty product!
This is an up close fan. Kinda cools the room, but not in high temps we getting at the moment. (30 degs plus humidity).
Waiting for ice to arrive, see if we can improve cooling temperatures.
As I hope you can hear this is the fan at full speed, As for the tank it says it holds 650 mls of water! Picture shows on the tank with 500 mls of water in it, yes it is not brim full! But the cap sealing the tank sits down inside the tank, so thinking your going to get 650 mls in it you are going to get wet. It is tall and narrow so it will not take up to much space, I have it working half a metre away from me and yes I can feel the cooling effect. The light you can only turn off and on, it has 7 different colours lol that it cycles through, you cannot choose your favourite colour. I like that it can hold 500 mls less refilling. But as I said I think the tank size should be advertised as 500 mls and not 650 mls.
As well his is just straight out the box I think it’s only fair to give an update in a few days time after more use, this is a review straight out of the box
We’ve bought 3 of these for ourselves and 2 for others as presents and think they are great personal coolers. They are light and easily moved around, work off a standard USB mains adapter, car or battery power bank. I take mine to Pilates (using my Anker Powerbank) to cool me during exercise which is very effective and also use it beside me at night. I find setting 1 adequate for most situations and even at 2 or 3 it is relatively quiet. The oscillation is useful for cooling two people and we have 2 permanently beside our desktop computer as it keeps us cool without blowing papers about.
