Was a bit dubious when I ordered it, but when received wow a brilliant little bag just right for my cruise can keep spare card and battery in a separate pocket as well.
I bought this to protect my compact camera. It fills this role admirably. The pocket on the front is a bonus as you can keep spare batteries in it. Highly recommended.
I managed to lose the case for my Canon SX 620. The replacement price for branded replacements was in the 30 range. The Amazon Basics Case for around 7 was indistinguishable from the more expensive options. Easy choice.
I haven’t fully “used” this product hence the limited review. But it does NOT (contrary to what you may have read) fit an Olympus TG-6 camera.
I am suitably impressed by the quality however, that I am going to buy the same product in large. I’ll write a fuller review on that one.
Needed it to fit in the DJI Osmo Action 3 with the Smallrig cage. It’s snugs but fits, which makes it perfect for throwing it in rucksake and not have to worry about scratching the lens.
Took a gamble with this case for my dash cam to keep safe and protected while driving in Spain and Portugal.
Fits perfectly with an extra pouch for spare micro sd card although I didn’t need it.
The box describes this as a ‘medium’ sized pouch but I would disagree with that and say that it is more suitable for a much smaller compact camera. I bought this for my trusty Panasonic TZ10 for quick pointing and zooming on the go, and it was a very snug fit. Nevertheless it did fit, I just have to make sure the underside of the zip shoe doesn’t rub against the corners of my camera and wear it away.
Negatives aside, it is a nice smart looking product, simple, unassuming and well made. The belt loop is nice and chunky and the zipped pocket is perfect for carrying around spare batteries and SD cards without them falling out.
4 stars.
This is smaller than I had expected, but it is perfect for the purpose, protecting my Canon G15. The small front pocket will house a spare battery, SD card and lens cleaner. Can’t speak to longevity, but it looks easily robust enough. At the price, it is a bargain.
The bag is just as described but the strap is a joke. It is a very thin and flimsy strap with the eyes to attach it is very difficult to use. Luckily I have a spare strap I used. I would have certainly given five stars if everything had been OK.
Excellent carry case for small cameras, good design, well made, good price. It replaces, for me, a piece of expensive junk, looking exactly the same but with no closer on the accessory pouch! I wonder what genius designed that? After the second time I picked spare battery and SD card out of the gutter I looked on Amazon and found this pouch to be exactly what I wanted, with a sensibly zipped compartment.
One improvement would be to have trapezium-shaped strap lugs, so I have docked one star for that. It is very difficult to fit the strap to the circular lugs provided, they would slide easily over a straight edge. At least they won’t come off!
I purchased this case as I have previously used the amazon basics products and been impressed with their quality. This is no different. The bag is compact enough and comfortably holds my Sony ZV1 or my Canon SX730 and 2 spare batteries in the front zip compartment.
I purchased the larger version of the 2 options and it fits both mentioned cameras great. I wouldn’t go any smaller unless you were shooting with a very small point and shoot (Canon IXUS and such)
Overall another great product from Amazon at half the price
I bought this to carry a pair of compact binoculars on the same belt that carries my camera. The main unit just holds the binoculars and the little pocket is fine for holding a spare battery and SD card for the camera. The belt attachment seems solid and the lid is accessible. Only time will tell if it is as robust as it seems and how well it handles rain, but first impressions are positive.
The bag itself is padded enough to offer protection for my Canon G5X, and it’s a good size – not too much excess space at the sides of the camera, although there is almost an inch of space at the top of the bag. The strap isn’t great and I’m thinking about replacing it – although I might just have a duff one because I didn’t read this in previous reviews – but one of the clips keeps unclipping from the loop on the bag. The clips are quite rigid and difficult to attach to the loops so I’m not sure how this is happening but it’s happened a few times hence the dropped star. It’s also thin and not very comfortable.
Update: I’ve worked out why the strap keeps in clipping – not a duff bag, just its design. The rigid clips get stuck on the clip loops, which wedge themselves into the clip (see photos) and the slightest tug releases the clip from the bag. Since it’s unreliable and my camera was quite expensive I am replacing it with another bag which shouldn’t be able to do tha
