This is an Amazon basics, and as such you’d be forgiven in thinking it is just basic.
In fact it does a great job at trapping quite a lot of litter. We use a litter that tracks quite a lot, and while it doesn’t stop it entirely, this mat has cut it down considerably.
It was folded, so came with some creases. But despite that it sits flat enough. It is also large enough to cover where our 2 litter trays placed. The cats aren’t at all fazed using the mat either – one is particular about a lot of things as a rescue with a complicated history, so if he is using it, you can bet it isn’t likely to cause problems elsewhere.

My indoor cats are long haired with hairy paws so carry litter out from the box but this mat does trap a lot of it. It’s still a bit creased after several weeks down but does a decent job.
Needed a mat that would allow the door to swing close but also stop litter from being tracked out.
The size allows for the tray to sit on the mat and also be effective at keeping the litter around the tray area. My cat isn’t the type to kick up a lot of litter yet still makes a trail of tiny litter crumbs all over the house
I tried a the mat that had bigger holes and that could be opened and tipped out but it prevented the door from closing and I still made a mess when cleaning up
Slightly creased from transport but it should straighten eventually or I’ll take the advice of others and use hot water to reshape
I was disappointed to find this smart and robust mat requires HANDWASHING! Well, I shall be using the Silk/delicates program on my machine. My immediate thought was, whoever designed this and selected the material, can’t be a busy housewife, unless, of course, the producer is covering their back. I shall emend this review when I see how it fares in my machine.
I was, for ages, using an old doormat as a litter mat for my cat’s tray. He’s super messy when going to the loo, so I find it easy to have a mat to at least ensure most of the litter isn’t going on the carpet.
However, I was getting bored of the doormat and wanted something that looked overall a bit nicer so I tried this! And personally, I’ve got no quarrels so far.
Pros:
– decently sized
– Good quality material (it’s made of rubber)
– looks good
– cat likes to scratch it a bit
– due to it being rubber and a bit heavy, it stays put and doesn’t move about
Cons:
– the way the actual surface is, it’s got a bunch of holes. I think it’s perfectly fine for me – but I use wooden pellet litter. I have a feeling that if you were using classic litter, it’d get stuck inside the mat and be a pain to get out

Absolutely brilliant mat! Easily as good as, if not better, than another mat selling on here for much more money. I have one of those too, but should have just bought this one.
Good quality, quite thick rubbery material so it’s not going to tear or break. And great value for a tenner!

Nice and big, fits under the litter box and does as good a job as you’d expect taking the litter off my cats feet- it will never be perfect but there is definitely less tracked around the house
I love how it looks but my issue is the size of it. It’s so wide and long it takes up more space then I would of likes. It gets some litter of my cats paws but the still leave traces all over the flat. Would recommend for someone who has quite a bit of space for their litter tray.
