Bought a new dvd player and knew I needed a cable, this one was recommended and does the job, as a technophobe I found it easy to use, a doddle really, you just plug it in and go, good value and works as you would expec
It took me a few attempts to connect my laptop to my TV, but after a bit of time it connects ok, just need to go to source on your TV , go to HDMI and make sure the cable is connected and away you go.
We ordered this so we could connect our soundbar to the tv. Although we had a cable provided by the sound bar apparently we needed in HDMI so that we could control the sound with the usual tv remote and not the soundbar remote.
At first there were some delays with the sound but after some fiddling to get it onto the right setting this has worked perfectly for us. Just the right length too so not much hanging behind the tv.
Having bought a new TV and DVD player I needed the right cable to connect the two and long enough to fit through and round the cabinet they were housed on / in. This HDMI cable did exactly what I needed it to
I use this cable for my laptop to 4k 60HZ monitor.
If you do decide to purchase this cable just keep in mind the HDMI 2.0 specification which is:
1080p 240Hz
1440p 144Hz
4K 60Hz
If you require a cable that is able to provide higher refresh rates (Hz) like 4K 144Hz then look at some HDMI 2.1 cables instead.

Bought this as I needed a lengthy cable to connect a DVD player bought at the same time. I already have a 5m HDMI cable ( too long and also it is a very expensive one with an annoyingly thick cable ). I had hoped the cable on this one ( being a cheap one ) was thin and flexible ( like say a mouse cable). It is not as thin as I had hoped (about the same as a power cable – but consequently you could say better quality. It does what I bought it for so overall very happy.

Firstly, the cable is packaged properly in its own cardboard box where it is wound neatly with a windy cable tie which you can always reuse. Importantly, there are also plastic protectors for both ends of the HDMI connectors to stop any dust or debris from getting into them. Again, these will be useful to keep on hand if you even have the cable disconnected for quite some time where dirt could get inside the connectors.
As for the features, there’s a lot going for it despite the basic design and cheap price. There are quite a wide range of cable sizes to choose from for all kinds of set ups — be it compact desk areas, or large creative set ups. I chose 1.8m as this is around the sweet spot for normal desk set-up as it gives you some leeway for spacing you PC away from your monitor. Importantly, the connectors are high quality 24K gold plated which you’d expect to see on high-end cables. There are also pure copper conductors which is something to look out for when judging the quality of a HDMI cable. Moreover, the version of this cable is HDMI 2.0 meaning that it is more compatible with different tasks you may need a cable for. There’s too many to list here, but displaying 4K at 50Hz and 60Hz is one big feature people will be needing nowadays. It’s just all-round better than previous generations.
Overall, I would highly recommend this cable despite how generic it may seem. It’s worked perfectly for me (noticeably better than an older cheap cable) with no problems or interruptions in connectivity, and the cable has all the quality features you could ask for in a good quality HDMI cable.
