The straightners are amazing, I have very thick hair and usually it’s very hard to keep my hair straight and sleek, however I’ve not struggled since this purchase. Very pleased !
Unbelievable straightener, I have used this about 4 times so far, for the price it really leaves my hair shiny and super straight, I was not expecting too much from them but they have now replaced my expensive straighteners.
Perfect they reached temperature quickly and are easy to handle.
I haven’t tried the Wet to Dry yet but happy with the way they straighten.
MY only opinion is the wire isn’t long enough from lower wall (floor) socket to head height and I am only 5ft 2in I prefer to stand when straightening my long hair so all depends on plug socket positions.
Other than that they are great.
They’re ‘wet and dry’ but in my experience it feels like you’re frying your hair a bit if you use it on damp hair, might just be me though! I prefer to air dry or blow dry then use these, as it minimises how much heat you’re applying as you won’t have to go back over sections that aren’t 100% dry before use. So overall would really recommend for the price (under 20 when I purchased) just be careful to use smaller sections of your hair is finer so it doesn’t ‘kink’ with the wide plates.
I use these daily and I get the result I want.
I go from fluffy, wavy hair to sleek and straight.
I prefer them to my GHD straightener.
I’ve used them on slightly damp hair and still get the same result but not tried on wet hair yet so I can’t say if they’re similar to Remington Wet to Straight.
But so far so good.
Bought these for the wife who loves them, states are the best straighteners she has ever had, and was surprised by the length of time hold kept, it’s a 5 stars from the boss.
This was needed for my daughter who has very long, frizzy, bushy central american hair. With her being 16 she wanted to straighten it for the start of school (a Princess Diaries moment almost lol). This was incredibly easy to use, with large plates that heated incredibly quick. Took about 40 mins to straighten her massive amount of hair n it looks immaculate!
I would advise purchasing heat-resistant hair straightening gloves to use with it as it just about burnt my hands off using them. Absolutely over the moon with them, thank you!
Over to my daughter for this onewell not just yet. Let me start by saying just be very careful with these tongs. I always take photographs of items for review and in the process like to take a photograph of the item whilst it is either working or switched on. Ooh that was a mistake. The light flashed red when I switched it on so I thought a video was in orderjust for a few seconds, or so I thought. Wow that is really really hot after about 10 seconds. I knew from reading the blurb that they heated up pretty quickly, 30 seconds or so. Well it was on a fairly low setting and yet in 10 seconds at the most it was too hot to handle! No wonder they have small holes in the to gs to allow heat to dissipate I imagine or the thing will self combust..only joking. After speaking to my daughter about them, she is of the mind that they perform very well with the wider than usual tongs. Her previous pair were quite thin and didn’t heat up to the maximum temperature as on these tongs. They took less time to achieve the same result but she wouldn’t even consider using these with wet hair as is suggested in the blurb. She says that that is the quickest way to damage your hair, I can’t have an opinion on that as I no longer have long hair and have never used tongs anyway. So I think it’s safe to say that I can confidently award these tongssorry hair straighteners 5 stars. By the way it says in the limited information that heat resistant gloves are provided with these straighteners, but unfortunately they were not in the box. This item is not currently advertised on Amazon so I suspect these may not be on the market at the moment. Whatever, they are very effective according to my daughter, they are light and easy to handle. Just as well as they do heat up in a flash. Controls are integral to the straighteners so it’s a compact item even though it has a wider heating area. It’s a smart looking item all in black. Did I say 5 stars? 5 stars.
