I haven’t had any bad products from Anker, and this is no exception.
I bought it to charge a phone in the car and it works perfectly. The relatively short 3ft cable means you’re not trying to lose excess cable somewhere but is long enough to be able to place the phone somewhere convenient.
The length on this is great and the colour means it’s bright enough not to get lost in your luggage. The real selling point is the build in cable tie (which you can remove) helping you store this neatly when not in use. I have this in my car as it’s long enough to stretch back to the rear seats for my little one to use for his iPad on long journeys.
This was probably my fault for not appreciating just how short this lead would be. It’s adequate, but not as long as previous leads I’ve ordered in the basic size and I can’t turn over in bed with the phone plugged in! Just an irritation, but another time I’d pay a bit more and get the extra length. I’m left thinking I’ll probably order another longer lead, keeping this one as a spare.
I was quite wary making this purchase after only ever having Apple charging cables but after running over the Apple cable with the vacuum I needed next day delivery. This is perfect, sturdy, 2m long and haven’t had any issues so I then bought the matching lilac charging plug.
For iphone 14 pro max, charges phone with no issue or errors good length cable, cable itself at first is a little stiff not so flexible but should be fine after a few days use.
A newer cable made by anker, it’s product line means the MFi won’t expire for a good few years.
Even apple cables expire and become “unrecognised,” which is why buying newer models is something consumers should do, it isn’t up to the third party cable provider.
This is a perfect fit cable for 2022 to probably 2027 or 2032.
Came working, feels premium ish.
I don’t think for a cable to be good it needs metal accents and whatnot, the texture is grippy but also not stretchy and will clearly break like apple’s own, comes with a cable tie like in pictures, a good cable tie too.
Capable of fast charging and whatnot, looks nice I guess.
Anyone who sends a picture with the tip broken off probably sat on the cable or something against a hardwood floor and is looking for compensation, obviously, if a cable is broken like this I usually rectify it’s due to consumer misuse.
Don’t be scared by the 5% critical reviews, remember people also review more often if they have a problem with an item over if it works perfectly. Your chances of getting a bad cable on delivery are far far lower than you think.
With a cable that has a durable sheath like this one I recommend pulling from the cable not the charger head, it helps with pulling directly vertical as putting stress in either other direction when inserting and extracting cables is where most issues occur.
If MFi stops working check your port first, even if it works with another cable.
Then check the cable, any rust or even maybe burn on old cables can be removed with alcohol.
Socket damage should be corrected with thin carbon pliers that can extract dust and debris without causing damage to the contacts. Or even compressed air.
