Our ice was starting to taste/smell funny. Bought these on the off chance. They are external filters. Very simple to attached. Just cut your plastic water pipe and insert into either side. We now have nice ice and water again! Great value
Used this product to replace our Samsung DA29-10105J water filters as the price for them is extortionate.
These were easy to install (no water leaking like other reviews) and water and ice from machine tastes great.

There are other generic makes of this filter slightly cheaper some the same price, they are activated charcoal cheap and nasty, these filters are value for money and actually are
Very good quality.
These are a good value replacement for the original Samsung filter, they fit and work just fine. However, don’t assume that the label is the same way up as the Samsung and fit without checking the markings. Look at the label and you will see the flow arrow runs the other way.
And when I finally fitted it and empty the first batch of water away, I found clear plastic looking things floating in my water!
Once that cleared after getting rid of 4 litres of water.. that cleared and now the water is perfect so just keep an eye!
Was hesitant to purchase these as some reviews said their ones leaked. Just had new wooden flooring installed so did not want that to happen with mine. However after 3 months used I can say that this was worth every penny so far. Just need to make sure that the pipe is securely connected into the filter and it’s mounted to the back just like the old one. Keep loose tubes tide back to avoid it bouncing and becoming loose. Will be looking to order more when needed
To be fair it’s difficult to provide a detailed review as it’s a water filter and without carrying out laboratory test, you have to assume the claims that are made are true. The filter was pretty straight forward to fit in the fridge and water seems to taste ok but taste is subjective. Overall seems a decent product and seems to do what is says.
