Bought this for my 4 year old birthday and she loves it. My only problem is that it’s HUGE… like just the dollhouse fits in her playroom under the stairs and the other toys had to migrate to the lanai

This took awhile for my husband to assemble there were over a hundred pierces. This thing is also huge! Way bigger than I had thought it was going to be. It’s quality is decent, there were no missing parts and even thought it took awhile (maybe a little over an hour) it was a well worth it purchase! My daughter loves it. It’s super sturdy and still standing and all together. It does come with an abundance of small pieces so be mindful with little kids who like to use their mouth to learn 🙂

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersThe Barbie Dreamhouse has been a staple in the world of imaginative play for decades, and the 2023 edition is no exception. This year’s Dreamhouse showcases a harmonious blend of nostalgic elements we’ve loved from previous models with modern, innovative features that resonate with today’s kids.

First off, the design and color palette are both vibrant and chic. The rooms are detailed, and the furnishings are both stylish and functional, capturing the essence of modern living. The inclusion of sustainable elements, reflecting the eco-conscious world we live in, is a thoughtful touch.

I particularly love the smart features incorporated into the house, which add an interactive dimension to playtime. The Dreamhouse now feels more integrated with the tech-driven world our children are growing up in, without overshadowing the importance of imaginative play.

Accessibility and inclusivity seem to have been a focus this year, with features that cater to Barbies of all abilities. It’s heartening to see such inclusivity in a toy, teaching kids the importance of diversity and acceptance.

Assembly was relatively straightforward, though, as with all Dreamhouses, a bit of patience is required. The materials feel sturdy, ensuring the toy will stand up to hours of play.

If there’s any downside, it’s the price tag, which might be a bit steep for some. However, considering the quality and range of features, it feels like a worthwhile investment for years of imaginative play.

In conclusion, the Barbie Dreamhouse 2023 continues the legacy of inspiring dreamers everywhere. It’s more than just a toy; it’s a canvas for endless stories and adventures.

It was pretty easy to assemble and comes with many pieces. Once it’s put together it’s pretty sturdy and is pretty large. It’s a great size and my toddler loves it!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI ordered this for my stepdaughters 7th birthday and I was a little unsure of the durability and let me tell you.. I was extremely impressed. I will say it came in a lot more pieces than I anticipated for assembly, but it took my under 2 hours and I did it alone (while drinking wine). Everything was labeled clearly, instructions were easy to follow, the thing popped together like a dream. It feels rugged and the quality was beyond my expectations (I guess I’m old school and still get worried when I order things like this online vs purchasing from a store). The accessories are insane, the details in the house itself blew my mind.. I think I was more excited about it than she was lol. For the price, it’s huge, solid, and comes with so many accessories and features HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This Barbie Dreamhouse Pool Party Doll House is an amazing playset that offers endless hours of imaginative fun for our girls, with its 75+ pieces and 3-story slide, it’s a paradise for Barbie and her friends to enjoy. The inclusion of a pet elevator and puppy play areas adds an adorable touch, allowing our girls to take care of Barbie’s furry friends too! The attention to detail in the design and the various play zones make this dollhouse truly engaging. However, parents should be prepared for the assembly process, as it might take some time as it did us! But it was worth it. Overall, this playset offers a fantastic way for kids to create their own Barbie adventures in a stylish and feature-packed environment.
    Buy it!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAt 300 at the time of writing (it was 350 when i got it) this does seem a little steep.
But i have to say there is a lot to this….. and it is big….. it is going to seem even bigger to my little 5 year old granddaughter.
it does take quite a bit of assembly but was very straight forward….. you just need a good space to set things out.
I did think that with the cost of this there could be at least one doll included (there isnt)…. but there is a pet dog included….. I guess if you are going to spend this much they assume you would already have a few barbies.
The kitchen is stocked with better appliances than mine and makes the right noises, and there are working lights…..

All in all this is a great toy and my granddaughters face when she finally sees it will be worth it, and i’m sure she will have hours of fun.

It gets a definite recommended buy from me and 5 stars overall.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is one of those toys that I find myself wishing to be young again and I would have easily got lost in my little world of play and imagination with this Barbie set up.
My little granddaughter is now at the age of being now into her dolls and her little face when she saw this set up for her 5th Birthday — Just no words this is an amazing Barbie Dreamhouse — it is absolutely worth every 5 stars.
Any little Barbie fan is going to love the endless hours of play, with large pool (as well as pup paddling pool and slide) the elevator (for Barbies and pup), there is a huge spiral slide, decoration lights and outdoor ‘living,’ hanging swing, furniture, and accessories for indoor and outdoor rooms.

All the moving parts and sounds come together perfectly in an open plan world of creativity and imagination – with the stickers, and realistic details like the ‘walk-in cupboard, ceiling lights, wall prints, room accessories, plants and so so much more.

Assembly was fun without any difficulty (for my 14 year old) – is as tall as it is wide so needs a fair bit of space. We all love the inclusion of puppy paradise play which both my grandkids loved (dog mad family). Just add Barbies and their little imaginations will take flight.

It is brilliant & packed full of expected Barbie quality — highly recommend.

This house is massive! You definitely need a lot of space in your child’s room to set this up.
I wouldn’t want to build it all then have to move it, it’s far too heavy and I’d be worried about snapping parts.
Instructions are clear, so putting it all together wasn’t too bad, lots of stickers to put on, which I find the most tedious part and wish that was done already!
You don’t get any dolls included but if you’re buying this your child probably has loads already.
Lots of little accessories are included, even a little dog with its own miniature house.
It’s something I’d have absolutely loved when I was younger, it offers hours of imaginative play opportunities but it’s very expensive.
If you have Prime, there’s the ability to pay monthly for this, interest free, which is very helpful, especially when budgeting for Christmas.
Hope you found my review helpful.

This thing is huge, so needs a large space for place this Barbie Dreamhouse.

Bit assembly required (allocate about 30 min to build, instructions look to be very detailed, lots of stickers to add) but nothing too hard, there is so much with this Dreamhouse which will be great for children’s imagination. I can’t wait for my daughters eyes when she sees this Christmas morning.

There is so much to play with in the house, beds, lights, sounds, a lift, a slide the build quality is very high. The cost is high but you can see the value in this play house, there is so much detail and the size and the amount of work that went into this dream house is very clear.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThis is really wonderful! It’s very well constructed and very easy to put together, it’s a little daunting when you open the box but just make sure you follow the instructions and you will be fine. It’s a click together design which doesn’t come apart easily so bare this in mind as you are making it – I’ve had to loosely put it together for my video as it needs to be moved so please bare this in mind. On to the fun stuff, it’s actually really great putting it together, finding the parts and building it is really interesting, you could do this with your child so that they appreciate how it’s made but make sure you stick to the instructions together. There are allot of stickers to apply, make sure you di this as you assemble it as it’s easier. Once it’s all together it’s super strong and really sturdy, it should bare up to robust children’s games with no problem and last many years. This is a real dream toy and will encourage lots of imaginative play either of one child or more, it comes with lots and lots of accessories, just add a Barbie or more. I would have absolutely loved this as a child, it’s fun, educational and just brilliant.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Barbie Dreamhouse!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMattel appear to have cut no corners here. Their Barbie Dream House Pool Party dolls’ house is very much the stuff of youngsters’ dreams. Yes, it could have been made cheaper – but it wouldn’t have been quite so spectacular.

This is, as they say, a considered purchase. For many parents and children, this will be that breathtaking ‘once in a lifetime’ toy. The point of this type of toy is perhaps that it can make memories that will last a lifetime, in much the same way as the Raleigh Chopper bike my lone parent mum must have scrimped to buy me back in the day.

My once in a lifetime present set up a lifelong love of design in me. To this day, I hate products that lack form and function. Also, when I took Cycling Proficiency lessons as a child, the male instructor was adamant that ‘A Chopper is no bike for a young lady’. Sexism encountered this early on is almost guaranteed to make you chippy – take it from one who knows. Until then, I was convinced I could be whatever I wanted to be.

This Barbie Dream House is just as impressive as my old Chopper bike. It does require assembly – which takes a little time – but what you’re getting is standard Barbie quality that should prove durable and is likely to have a number of years’ play value in it before it gets passed down to a younger child. Suitable for children ages 3 to 12 – and beyond, in my opinion – this is a versatile item that should inspire a lot of imagination and creative play.

What you need with this – money aside – is space, as it does take up a lot of room. I’d suggest building it in situ as it’s not that feasible to move once it’s built. When it’s built, you’ll have very much a ‘wow’ house. I love how inclusive Mattel is making both Barbie and Lego toys. There are two elevators – one that will accommodate a wheelchair, the other a pet – and some figures in the modern Barbie range of course use wheelchairs.

There’s a slide just like you’d find at a water park – which would definitely feature in many children’s dream homes. The detail here is incredible if you’re looking at this as an adult – and ‘just right’ if you’re a child. ‘When I grow up’, said the child I gave this to, ‘I want a pink house just like this’. ‘Me too’, I said. ‘Why don’t you have one then?’ Hmm, I think that’s a story for another day.

It was my dream growing up, and now I am pleased that I can finally fulfill my daughter’s dream by getting her this beautiful Barbie Dreamhouse. There was a twinkle of joy in my eyes as we were assembling this dollhouse with her. As for my daughter, she can’t stop thanking us for getting her this superb toy. This dollhouse is a dream house and it has everything any kid could ever want. It’s a lovely and fun experience that encourages kids to play on their own or with three friends. A super happy mother and a very pleased and grateful daughter.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’m a grandparent so not a mother with a yearning for Barbie. But I was truly surprised at the size of this set, it’s huge! I know that my daughter would have played with this for many hours when she was young so this was obtained for our granddaughter, who is starting out with fantasy and imaginative play with dolls and other toys including trains and cars. The box that the house arrives in is a massive parcel, and once unwrapped you are faced with a lot of pieces. There is a great video that takes you through the build step by step, but once built it is staying put as it is very sturdy – and did I mention- big. Once put together it is an ideal play space for every other Barbie toy you might have, there is plenty of space firBarbie, friends and family, along with a car and multip,e accessories if you have them.

Is it worth 350? That is really down tou you and your child, if you are willing to pay hundreds for a games console then this is comparable and a young child may get as much, if not more from it. Barbie is ideal for cooperative play and kids and their friends can act out stories in the dream house, it’s a powerful motivator for imagination. So if you can afford it, it will last for years and get a lot of use I am sure, but it’s not essential for that imaginative play, other toys and even boxes can be as much of a stimulus.

It’s a lovely toy, any child who gets it and loves Barbie will be delighted, if you have the money you will get value.

This barbie doll house is absolutely every girls dream!
My little one was over the moon when we gave it to her!
There is a lot to do, and i mean it a lot!
Good quality pieces, moderate i would say to build.
The best thing about it, keeps my daughter away from all electronic gadgets and lets her be a girl playing with dolls.
It has inbuilt light, all the furniture, everything the house would need!
Also the cutest pet there too!
I know it is pricey, however seems to be worth every penny!
    Highly recommend it!

This arrives in an absolutely massive box measuring approx 75cm x 22cm x 77cm.
It does have handles in the sides, but my arms aren’t long enough to hold both of them at the same time.

If you were going to wrap the box rather than build it, you will definitely need extra wide wrap.
There is a large full colour image of the house taking up one of the sides of the box, so there is no hiding what’s inside.
This is a BIG present and when assembled the house takes up a fair amount of space, so make sure you have room for it first.
It measures approx 70cm front to back x 157cm wide (including the slide) x 114cm high.
It’s the sort of mindblowing gift you remember forever.

Mattel have released a really clear assembly video which is available on their channel on You Tube.
I am not allowed to post external links, so I hope they add it to this product page as it is really helpful & makes assembly a breeze.
Search for ‘Barbie Dreamhouse Step by Step Assembly Video – 2023 with 3-Story Spiral Slide’ on their channel.

If this is your childs first introduction to the world of Barbie, all you need to add to this is a doll.
It comes with tables, chairs, beds, a kitchen & bathroom, a roof garden & a massive spiral slide that can head down to the pool (if you put it there) or the ground. There are a few cups, plates, a bowl of popcorn for movie nights & even a pet dog with it’s own pet bed, dog house, mini pool with slide & bone.
It does not come with any cars or vehicles.

The first product image only shows items that are in the box.
The third one shows the bits other than the building.

If you already have Barbies, there is more than enough room for lots of them to turn up & play, with enough beds for 4 (or 6 if one sleeps on the chair in the roof garden & one in the hanging chair) to sleep over, or a dozen to spread out all over the place.
I think my favourite piece is the gold table lamp with a B on it.
I have a lot of Barbie sets & all the other Barbie furniture slots in seamlessly, so if you already have other sets you can mix & match to customise & make it your Barbies own.

Assembling this is actually pretty easy & took me just over an hour including the time it took to unbox, apply the sheet of stickers & clean up the packaging.
As far as packaging goes, I was able to fit all the rubbish other than the big cardboard box into one carrier bag as it’s just a few plastic bags.
It comes with an instruction sheet if you don’t want to use the video.
I like to apply stickers as I go along rather than apply them afterwards as I think I line them up better.

You will need a cross headed screwdriver to access the built in battery box & 3 x AA batteries to fit into this in order for the lights & sounds to work – screwdriver & batteries not included.
The battery compartment is on the blue wall that has Barbies oven on it (on the other side) & the on/off switch is next to it if you feel the need to stop it making sounds.
A pair of scissors will come in handy for opening plastic bags too.

The house has 2 sounds when the batteries are in.
When the silver centre ring on the cooker top is pressed down, it makes a sound like someone frying an egg (that’s what I think it sounds like anyway) which only lasts for a few seconds.
When the toilet (complete with hinged lid) is pressed, it makes a flushing sound.
They only seem to make one sound each, not a selection, & they aren’t too loud so it’s not as noisy a toy as it could have been.

I was really excited to get this 2023 Dreamhouse, so I set about building it as soon as I got it.
It’s really straightforward & the build is very open, so it’s quicker than I expected for something so big.

Once you snap these together, they aren’t coming apart again, so don’t start until you are ready to have it up permanently.

This new updated version has some great new features.
There is a dog door in Barbies ‘front’ door (by the sink) which swings back & forth so you can send her pets through it.
It has some sellotape holding it in place, so don’t forget to remove that.
As well as the lift, which is large enough for a Barbie wheelchair, or a couple of Barbies standing up, there is a teeny dog lift on the side so everyone can get from floor to floor with ease.
    It’s pawprint shaped!
The lift seems a little stiff – you have to press a button on the side to unlock it, then slide it up & let go of the button to lock it back in place again – but does work nicely.

There is a tiny wall between Barbies closet & bathroom on the middle floor – you get a couple of hangers which she can put tops or similar items on plus a couple of shelves for shoes or bags.
The top floor has a fold down double bed which looks like a wall mounted tv over a shelf (shelf is the side of the bed) which has room for a few decorations on it to give a more 3d look to the room (it has plenty of stickers & embossed details to add interest though).

The entire building is full of lovely touches for a Barbie fan, from the embossed surfaces which add play details on walls & floors (I customise mine & will be painting some of them in, although I do love the pale pink bricks), to the movie showing on the flat screen tv (It’s Malibu Barbie playing guitar with Brooklyn Barbie) or the cute computer game on the games console.
Places like inside the fridge & throughout the house have small shelves you can pop ornaments on & all the tables have small indents to fit various cups etc…

You can take the curvy slide off the side of this to save some space, but it is a big item.
Although it says 360 degree play, the ‘outside’ of the house is mostly either stickers or embossed patterns & I think it will get less play than the ‘inside’/garden.
There are lovely details, such as a barbeque with an embossed hi-fi including record player on it, but unless you have a lot of room this is likely to get placed against a wall.

Every child should have the chance to play with something as lovely as this.
It encourages social play (interactions between dolls), pet care (interactions between pets & dolls), self care & treating your surroundings well (eventually you have to tidy Barbies house, although it’s fairly hard to make it messy to be honest) & boosts creative play.
With the wide range of Barbies (& Kens) available nowadays, I think there is a Barbie for everyone & they all deserve the home of their dreams.
