Used for replacement of a plunger type fitting before which broke. This was so easy to fit that did it myslef with no plumbimg experience other than usual DIY experience. Robust and well finished.
I don’t often write reviews but felt this Click-Clack Waste warranted one:
A nicely made product, I selected this one to replace the broken one in my bidet because it didn’t have the makers logo etched on the mushroom!
Fitting wastes to basins is always fraught with problems and I often have to resort to using Plumbers Mate to get them water tight. This one seals to the basin well with nice compressible gaskets and a brass nut. But, there is still a leak path via the thread of the body nut, especially as it is threaded all the way up to the overflow slots. I wound some PTFE tape on the thread in the area where it tightens and it was leak tight with the nut hand tightened. Over-tightening with a spanner risks breaking your basin and won’t help. No messy putty or sealants.
This waste was a few mm shorter than the original but the waste pipe lifted enough to compensate.
Reasonably priced sink waste unit, easy to fit and works satisfactorily.
Simple to fit, didn’t really need the supplied instructions. The item is designed to fit using only the washers provided, however to be on the safe side I added some clear silicone between the washers and the sink, and no leaks!
Am pleased with the item, looks nice and works ok.
A quality product that was extremely easy to fit. So pleased with it that I bought a second for the en-suite! …and as a bonus the tapered washer at the bottom sealed perfectly.
Looks fantastic and good quality build Really easy to install took ten minutes and I’m no plumber remember to use the two plastic washers underneath the basin before tightening the brass nut. I would recommend applying a small ring of sylicone to each washer to ensure no leaking
