There’s nothing to dislike about this product. They simply work. The flow is good and they seem to write incredibly well on the whiteboard. These are significant upgrade from the free pens that came with my board.
Great selection of colours, fairly good pay off though some of the colours are a little pale and I wonder if storing them upside down might be better than storing them horizontal as it states you should. The pink, purple and turquoise are really pretty. Useful to have a bunch of colours if you have various tasks (or family members) that you’d like to colour code, or if like me you just want everything to be rainbow all of the time
Truly pleased with this product – I usually find dry erase pens have such chunky nibs that they aren’t good for smaller, more detailed work and force me to use a font much larger and more space-consuming than I would like. These are excellent, with nibs much closer to the the size of a felt-tip pen. This means I can write a lot more and a lot more clearly leaving me space for extra notes. I find them particularly good for drawing purposes too – for example, a diagram or graph. These are much better for smaller work and personal use rather than a board in a large classroom with some students seated further away.
I purchased these some time ago and so far have found the longevity really good with tight, well-fitting caps that do no slip off easily, thus preventing the pens from drying out at all. Even after leaving notes in place for quite some time, I have never found these to permanently stain my dry-erase board, though (if I’ve left them for a particularly long time- like, weeks) I sometimes find a dry erase block isn’t always enough to remove all traces but a cloth dampened with water always fixes this.
Overall, very happy with the quality of this product, the wider than usual variety of colours and the value for money of these pens and I would be more than happy to recommend these to other shoppers. I’d purchase these again but they longevity seems so good at present that I don’t anticipate having to replace them for a very long time yet.
Used one of the pens on my fridge magnet wipe board and it wiped off ok and the pen writes nicely with a fine nib so value for money being Bic
Updating Review
I persisted with these pens as I had bought them. I’ve found that if I store then upside (nib) down, they are a lot better, almost perfect. Took a while for the colour to really start working, but they’re now fine. I now have them nib downwards in a pen pot. Updating to 4*, from 3*. Still loses a * for taking ages to really begin working!

Very reasonable to buy, but colours are very ‘faded/faint/washed out’. Not really what I wanted. Black and red are ‘okayish’ but others are far worse. Keeping on their sides, but after a few days, they’re no better, yet.
I bought these for my 8 year old daughter who is left handed. We often use a white board to practice spellings or to assist with homework.
My daughter finds it difficult to write with the chunky whiteboard markers, so these are much easier for her to use.
These are great space savers for both writing (due to the smaller writing tip) and can be carried around with ease.
The variety of colour makes it ‘more interesting’ for her to learn. Using pink or purple to write tricky spellings seems to appeal to her more than not standard blue or red!
They rub off our white board with no problems. They don’t require any more than a quick, gentle wipe.
We have had Velleda pens before and they last well. We bought some last year in lockdown and continue to use regularly and the ink is still flowing. Using regularly will ensure that the pens don’t dry out.
These are excellent value for money. It’s a great idea to buy a whiteboard to assist with homework and spellings as it saves on paper.
I prefer this slim style, FINE tip marker pen for some writing tasks and my favourite (trademark) colours of BROWN & PURPLE are here.
In my experience, the pens are durable, low in odour and easy to write with. I find that they wipe off relatively easily when the time comessometimes a bit of a harder rub is required to eliminate a shadowbut that can often be attributed to the age & quality of the whiteboard being used.
Currently part of the ‘Amazon Add-On Programme’, I think they represent good value for money.
As they seem to be getting harder to find, I have stocked up, so I can keep a pack here & there!

VELLEDA
DRY WIPE MARKERS FOR WHITEBOARDS (round barrelled)
8 ASSORTED COLOURS (1 of each)
~ REF 55/508
~ FINE TIP
‘Made in France’
ooOoo
The 8 dry wipe markers are supplied in a lightweight, transparent plastic-type pack measuring around 9.5 cm x 17 cm, including the hanger. The pack is resealable for a while.
Each pen is around 14 cm in length. The slightly angled cap is around 3 cm (max) in length and handily pushes over the base of the marker for safe keeping when in use.
‘KEEP HORIZONTAL’ is on the barrel of each in English/French, along with ‘BiC VELLEDA’, ‘FINE’, ‘DRY WIPE’, ‘WHITEBOARD MARKER’ & the barcode detail.
My pack contains one each of (in order of appearance):
~ BLACK
~ BLUE
~ RED
~ GREEN
~ DARK BLUE
~ PURPLE
~ BROWN
~ ORANGE
In use, my sensitive nose picks up a bit of odour to start with but nothing like some others I have used over the years. They write well straight out of the pack, in my experience and last a fair while, although it is hard to say how long as I use others as well.
My only mini-grumble is that they do roll around the table without much provocation!
